Great atmosphere your wonderful people a great place to watch a show
Saw Wicked here and was a somewhat comfortable experience. They should really incorporate some cup holders into the seating.
Washroom facilities are inadequate for men and especially for women on the orchestra level.
First time in a theater and I had a good experience. Popcorn and refreshments are a bit expensive. Clean and organized.
Beautiful but common areas very small. Difficult to get to washrooms and drinks due to crowds.
Show was amazing but be careful when buying higher up seats because the ceiling is quite low
This is a really old venue which could use some renovation. The lobby of nice but their seats feel dingy.
Behind the scenes crew great people.
Thank you Nigel for all your help.
Beautiful theater! I've seen 2 plays here, Aladdin and the Lion King. Both were really great productions.
The venue is lovely. Recently saw the Bodyguard play. However was quite disappointed with the performance and the changes made to the story line.
Watched an excellent production of Wicked with my family. Will definitely go again!
Saw Bat out of Hell. Nice place but leaving the theatre is horrible. If there was ever an emergency everyone would likely die.
Beautiful theatre..easy to get too...can see from any seat. Wonderful staff!
Recently saw Annie the Musical here and it was fantastic! One of the best productions I have seen in a while.
Big comfortable theatre. Saw Carol King's Beautiful. Great show!!
The seats are comfortable and the acoustics were good.
Really enjoyed the Bat out of Hell show. Restrooms are cramped but not that bad
Such a beautiful interior. Most recently saw Bat out of Hell here and it had a better set design than any musical I'd seen. Incredible tech. Good acoustics from where I was sitting.
Great theatre in downtown. Went yesterday for the Bat Out of Hell and the performances, staff, sound system and everything was outstanding.
Saw Annie here recently and had a wonderful time with the family...
Beautiful theater, went to see #BatOutOfHellTO amazing performance in a great theatre.
We have a subscription to Mirvish. We love going to shows. As far as this theatre goes, it is very nice and clean. The staff is excellent. However because it's an old theatre the side booths stick out a bit. So do not get seats right at the ends of the rows as part of your view will be blocked.
Went to see mama mia. Loved the show. Though I understand the building is historic they should renovate to accommodate older people or people with disability. No elevator makes it very difficult for people with joint issues to use the stairs
Saw Hamilton and loved it!!! Great venue and snack choices.
Great theatre. Great staff. Always have an amazing time here
Went to watch Annie the musical. It was funny, meant for all ages(5 yrs and older)not just children.
Beautiful theatre with great old style design and atmosphere. "Wicked" sounded and looked great here. Held a crazy amount of people for a downtown venue. Seats in the back of mezzanine were very comfortable, however hard to make out faces of the actors. Could see as much as a small 10"x10" tv. Wish I'd known sooner, so a star is deducted.
We watched Bat Out of Hell at Ed Mirvish Theatre. Seats are comfortable and it s really very convenient that it was close to the subway. Sound system was great and washrooms are clean and well maintained. It was just weird that they would put your beer in a plastic cup but then you are not allowed to put it on the ledge when there is nowhere else to put it on but the floor which I find silly. Anyway, the experience was great.
Its a great threatre. Very clean with friendly staff. Went to see Meatloaf and that was absolutely amazing!
I'm here for book of Mormon, been looking forward to this for years, it is hilarious and my favourite musical to date, an usher told me halfway through the first set to calm down and stop laughing and dancing, I never left my seat and I'm sorry this musical is hilarious. During intermission I asked what that was about, I was told this isn't a rock concert and I can't be moving in my seat, but please continue to sing along quietly. Hurt.
Saw Hamilton, great show great location. Parking a pain so arrive warly
This was a great place to watch mamma mia. We had good seats and enjoy the production. We were dancing while we watched the play.
Extremely comfortable seats. Amazing historic venue. Washrooms are a bit tight, space wise, but appreciate having the higher capacity during intermission.
I've been many tines to this location, most recently The Bodyguard, it was AMAZING, I'd see it again, the special effects n her singing, the sets .. All just perfect.. This is as close to a broadway show we'll get here in Canada, fyi, its way better than the TV promos.. As for theatre, time for Reno's w the seating.. pads are worn, if seated, very difficult to manoeuvre your way thru narrow rows, not made for larger people, just saying
Very nice and traditional venue in Toronto. A must visit for anyone who enjoy theaters or movies for that matter.
Poor Lobby organization!
Attended Annie on May 13th. Must say the theatre is a magnificent example of older theatres with beautiful decor and detail. However one might expect some sort of organization in the lobby area. There are no organized lines for rest rooms and at the interval they snaked across the entire lobby past all the concessions. China can manage crowds better!
The play was just OK. Found the children's voices too whiny and not very understandable. Felt they were trying too hard to create New York accents. Orchestra overpowered many of the cast.
A beautiful theatre with good acoustics. We saw the Carole King story here and or was fabulous
Beautiful theatre with lots of legroom and comfortable seats
Enjoyed every second !!
for sure ill be back again
Beautiful old theatre! I couldnt have asked for a better theatre experience.
School of rock is an absolute must see! Very talented cast and crew that made for a phenomenal night. First time to Mirvish theatre, very grand and made for great photos, glad we have something like this in toronto.
School of Rock very juvenile. Child performances, in general, shrill and irritating. Very surprised at positive reviews.
The Play that goes wrong was great to see and the seats were not too bad;I think the food was priced typically for the GTA but it was worth it - love the venue
Great play. Staff was friendly and helpful. Seats were cramped.
Quite dissatisfied with their refund process for the COVID-19 pandemic. I purchased 4 tickets over two shows, the first show being was nearly a month ago. The Les Miserables shows were all cancelled from the beginning, so Mirvish had ample warning to process the refunds for this show in particular. I've been going to Mirvish for over 20 years, and have been happy with their service. I guess this is because I've never had to ask for my money back. Oh well, it's just nearly $750 that was paid for a show and service that was knowingly cancelled over 4 months ago. I guess I will have to wait longer, as I have already submitted two seperate forms for my refund.
Always a good time. Small washrooms, at least for the men's side. lol
Great experience. Attended Sherlock Holmes production, and this venue is incredible. Beautiful interior, comfortable seats, set and lighting was creative and engrossing. Will return.
Beautiful historic theatre with friendly staff. Watched the Bodyguard here recently.
Gorgeous theatre. I love coming here. Wish the bathrooms were bigger, but that's life!
Well, was told we werent aloud to sing a long with the music. Rudely I might add! The group of us was not impressed! We were not rude or obnoxious she said this is not a sing along!!
Watching Gas Light here was an amazing and immersive experience.
Beautiful! We were seating high up but still felt we could see quite well.
Beautiful theater. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend.
Good for performances but not enough female washrooms
Not a bad seat in the house. All that needs to be said.
High-class theater! Shows with quality content. I highly recommend going to see a musical
Well organized, nice theater. Balcony seating not bad (second row) but a bit difficult to see (you will have someone's head in the way a bit) but still enjoyed show.
Also not affiliated but if you don't mind the $25 price you can also leave car directly across street for stress free parking during your show.
