I am a student at UNC and decided to go to TOPO for my birthday. This is such a great location on Franklin street with such poor food to go along with it. I ordered a dish called Arizona Chicken and it came out with lots of fatty pieces of chicken. I left with stomach pain and no desire to return. The person I dined with had a similar experience with their dish. Not a pleasant experience and sad because TOPO has such an opportunity in front of them with the prime real estate they have. Would not recommend unless you are only going for the views.

Great view and atmosphere! The appetizers are delicious (highly recommend the lizard chips) and entrees are good, but expensive for what they are. Overall, I recommend for the atmosphere but don t expect too much from the food

We were visiting Chapel Hill on a weekend getaway for our anniversary and found TOPO online. We initially wanted to visit the distillery but because of COVID they were not open for tastings. Scott directed us to the restaurant a few blocks away and it was worth our walk. The bar was classy and the drinks were tasty. Once a table on the rooftop opened we were able to watch the sun set, eat dinner, and try a flight of their organic beer. Food and service were all great. They also kindly accommodated my husband's food allergies. A special thank you to Scott and Guy, who went out of their way to make our 7th anniversary special.

Love the views here, outside seating gives you a great Birdseye view of Franklin street. Good beer, brewed here. Staff were pleasant and food was good.
