Wes Lambert Review of Tony & Alba's
Great Ambiance, Not so great food
Great Ambiance, Not so great food
I love Italian food, but to each his own.
I'd heard such great things from so many people, I felt that I had to try it. From the outside, it appears to be upscale, but on the inside it's a a shabby chic, Family restaurant. By proxy, I loved Vesuvio's Pizza, it was some of the best Italian in the South Bay, but the superb quality of the food did not reflect in the decor. The look of Tony & Alba's reflects the food, in my opinion.
I had the spaghetti & meatballs, it was edible. I did not finish it, and I did not take the remainder to-go. A redeeming quality came in the optional San Pelegrino Italian soda pop, thankfully.
I may yet give this restaurant another go, but the first impression was not the best.
