Do not believe this company, they will take your money, send equipment you don t need, lie about their return or refund policy. If you gave them a deposit they will keep it. If you gave them your business they will rip you off. Bad company, terrible ethics. Customer service is non-existent once you purchase. Be aware. Don't take my word, look at the other horrible testimonies from small business owners.

We are removing Toast from our store. The system they sold us will not work for our business and they will not implement a relatively easy fix to make it work. So now we have to start all over again. Be very careful and do a lot of research if you are considering their systems.

Used their app to order a pick-up food order and when I arrived at the restaurant at the correct pick-up time the restaurant was closed with the doors locked, and lights off. The restaurant phone number was inactive, so my next call was to Toast to have them cancel the order. Toast said that I would "need to contact the restaurant directly to have them issue the refund." How am I supposed to contact the restaurant when they are closed and don't have a phone number? I tried reaching the restaurant through Facebook & e-mail but have not heard anything back from them in 3 days. At this point, Toast's customer service has just stopped responding to my updates on the lack of ability to contact a restaurant THAT THEIR PRODUCT SUPPORTS. Their software handles all the restaurant's payments but claim they cannot issue a refund and leave it up to the customer to try to track down? Ok, that's one thing... but to have a customer service request be left open-ended without any response back to the customer is the reason for the review today.

What happened to Toast customer service?
Until last year all customer service reps were fluent in English. Now reps who answer calls are unable to understand what we want. They are also unable to communicate what they are trying to say.
I have been trying to get caller ID feature. They said hardware is being shipped to us. But nothing. Last night I was told that original rep didn t even place the order.
Can not get a straight answer. Seems like reps are poorly trained now.
Having a diverse employee base is a great thing. But employing folks who do NOT speak proper English and fail to understand is an awful thing.
We have businesses to run rather than call and call again to get basic things done.
I have called and emailed multiple times. All awful experiences.

Horrible customer service. One big factor that made me go with this platform initially was the customer service and the restaurant specific platform. Support has been horrible and I'm waiting on an order to be fulfilled that I placed 3 weeks ago. No status updates, nothing. I call and they just say "covid covid covid we are backed up." They gave me a ship date and that is long past. Do yourself a favor and go with square or another platform that is more able to accommodate you.

This company it s a total scam and take advantage of small business. They don t even send the whole equipment you order and it s payoff. Toast s costumer service its unreliable and a total waist of time, there is always a wait of 70 people and then after 1 hour on the phone they could never solve your issues. Please take your business to a more honest company.

Just used the app to order at a local restaurant, and ordering was fast and easy. The photos of the food were indicative of the actual items, and editing our order was easy. This reflects well on the restaurants who use it (at least two in our area).

So I opened a new spot in Massachusetts and used Toast. The sales person, Liam, gave us wrong and misleading info. we do not have all the services we had asked for and when I inquire, they are trying to Upsell the service (service that we were promised for free when signing up with Toast). They are over charging CC processing more than what we were told, no Toast Delivery set up, because of sales person's incompetency and many many more issues. STAY AWAY. Toast had 3 months to set up our system and we still have issues. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. the only bright side is the Project Manager, she has been great but she can only do so much.

DO NOT USE TOAST! One of the most important thing to any restaurant is their menu. Being able to have a software that is easily editable and manageable is so important. As a restaurant owner, I need efficiency. My time is important.

Imagine having customers come in to pick up orders they placed online which your restaurant never received, while at the same time your cashier is on the phone with Toast for over an hour because the menu is messed up and it s too hard to figure out how to add or take away a modifier group, while the hostess/waitress is trying to figure out why she can t print out the customers bill, while the back of the house is waiting for tickets to print but there s a server error so no tickets are printing. THIS HAPPENED ALL IN ONE DAY AND IT HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES.

I tried to get my sales rep to help me. He responded NEVER. I called customer service so many times before I finally said forget this! I paid thousands for this equipment and $286 a month for a service that I cannot use! I asked customer service to cancel my account and to return the equipment which they were supposed to honor. This was after I called to speak with my sales rep, onboarding rep and onboarding manager who were ALL laid off because of COVID. I tried to give them the benefit of doubt because Of COVID. However, when I get on the line with customer service because my system is going crazy and my menu isn t showing properly, and the customer service rep laughs out loud and when asked what are you laughing about he replies, Oh something I m reading on Google , it s time to take my leave. It would be so different if when you did have a problem it was resolved immediately.

They passed my account to someone in the upper tier who was supposed to call me back. Customer service doesn t have the authority to cancel my service. So now I m waiting for the wizard of Oz in tier 2 to call me back to cancel my service and refund me foe this useless equipment...SINCE AUGUST. I have been paying $286 a month and still haven t heard back from the wizard in tier 2! I am BEYOND frustrated. I called again today and once again I am waiting for the WOO in tier 2 to call me back.

If I could give TOAST a 0 or a negative score I would. They have grossly mismanaged my business. I will be taking this to the BBB and attorney general if they do not return my funds.

I ended up in restaurant depot one day and saw some advertisement for Clover. I did the demo and COULD NOT BELIEVE how much I allowed myself and my staff to suffer with Toast! Clover even made my website AND manages my Google listing AND, has a relationship with Door Dash and Postmates so the fee is 12.5% instead of 30% for delivery. I m never on hold for long and the best part was I didn t have to pay upfront for my equipment! Not advertising for Clover, I m simply saying, there are better options!

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! You will be highly disappointed. Do not use them.
