TMI products are OE quality. They supplied almost all of my 86 Mustang GT interior. The door panels were nicer then the stock units. The seat foam is comfortable. The provide sun visors that matched the OE. I did have an issue with one and they provide replacements. I would recommend TMI.

My girlfriend and I were excited about purchasing a complete new interior package from TMI and the trunk package to match for my 72 Nova. I made contact a couple of times and tried to get some info about changing things up to our liking and they told us no problem just call in our order for custom orders. Andrew sent me some vinyl samples to chose from so we tried to place an order immediately after and to our surprise they were running a black Friday sale according to their website. I called several times Friday and I guess they weren't open so I left Andrew a message to call me. Monday rolls around and I called again several times not reaching Andrew but left another message and eventually talked to an operator who said she would personally give him a message that I was ready to order. It is now the 7th of December and yet to hear from anyone. Since I've heard nothing I've been checking reviews and maybe it's a blessing in disguise.
TMI offers the closest to original upholstery that I could find. Good quality and fast shipping as well. Had a problem with 1 piece of an 11 piece auto carpet set. Called TMI, spoke with Elizabeth in RMAs, we exchanged emails, and very quickly received a replacement piece. No hassles, no delays- as soon as a replacement could be found it was inspected (really appreciate that), packed and shipped. 5 stars for everyone at TMI. The new carpet fits like OEM and looks great. Thanks.
Over the years the quality of the TMI products has steadily declined. We regularly remake their covers to fit the actual seats. Customer service has been virtually non existent.
Order was wrong and customer service is one of the worst I've ever experienced. Trying to get my order straightened out is becoming very frustrating. Customer service rep can't even read my order that came in two different size boxes with different weights with a total of twelve pieces. They sent me one call tag that says seven pieces (not twelve). Still waiting for my correct order which they won't send me until they receive the original order which THEY manufactured wrong. The original order can't be returned until THEY get the paperwork correct. Hopefully if and when I do get my correct order the quality of the carpets will be acceptable unlike the CSR.
I'm on my 3rd set of sun visors for my 1968 VW Beetle, my auto upholstery person purchased them from a local retailer, every time I go back I'm met with sorry excuses of why they keep slitting. I don't care about why!, I just want some that DON'T. NOT A VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER
I am not one to give low ratings, but be wary of TMI Products. I have been waiting for months to place an order and now have decided to go with another option. Every time I reach out I get one response and no follow up. If TMI parts are a must have - deal with CJPony Parts or another trusted retailer that carries their products as it appears impossible to actually buy from the sales team at TMI.
Product looks good but if it doesn't fit or you have a problem there customer service is horrible. After five months of wrong dad pad took to local upholster they fixed in about 30min.
This is the second time I have used them, the first time they screwed up a set of custom seats for a mustang and I had to send them back. During the process they had an attitude that I was part of the problem, even though Imade multiple phone calls and sent sketches of what I wanted to which they said they understood. Most recently, and regretfully, I used them again for a custom back seat. They ended up sending two left side uppers that cost me 150$ more to get fixed. Their response was send them back and we will remake them. They were already on my seats and the cost to mail there and back and remake would have exceeded 150$ easily. This company has a rep for poor customer service and I should have learned the first time.

Ordered a dash pad for my 1969 F100. It did not fit. It needs to go forward more to seat properly against the metal under part of the dash but it can't because it is hitting the rubber around the windshield. I contacted TMI and the guy I spoke with said he has seen this problem one other time but the guy fixed it himself. He was going to gather more info and call me back but never did. I called him and he said he had gotten busy but would call me back later that day, he never did. I gave up and sent it back. I also want to mention I saw a guy on Facebook had one of these dash pads in his 67 F100 and he said his did not seat properly either but he decided to just live with it. I am wondering if this problem isn't more widespread than they know. Either way you have been warned, they don't seem to fit correctly and the customer service is poo.
I ordered a custom interior for my 65 C10 and everything was perfect. The customer service was great to deal with ordering my interior. I had several samples sent before I could decide what I wanted. Would definitely order from them again.
I ordered directly from TMI. Quick shipping but my seat backs were damaged by shippers. TMI customer service promptly addressed the issue and got me a new set sent out. Love my new mustang seats. Don't be afraid to reupholster yourself. Plenty of how-to videos on You Tube.
Ordered a TMI canvas ragtop from a local small business. It took two months to get the item. When it finally arrived it was stitched incorrectly. : [ Hoping the return process goes smoother. With the exception of the poor workmanship, the quality was there. That's why I'm giving this two stars.
I purchased TMI stock seat covers for my 68 Mustang. Had a local Mustang shop install them. Very pleased with look and finish. Local shop says they will only install TMI covers as the other suppliers aren't as good.
I had to order a set of door panels thru two different vendors to get my door panels. It took four months and several phone calls with there costumer service giving me the run around about there on the way and they are in stock itll only be two weeks then they weren't cause they sold them to somebody else. After four months they finally show up, they look great, I just wouldn't deal with poor customer service ever again.
Has to be one of the worst companies I've ever dealt with! I have a restoration shop and this is not a one time problem with TMI. FIRST ROUND: I placed the order they told me it'd be 12 weeks before I would receive it. After week 4 I noticed nothing was charged and the order was never placed. I'm sure you've seen their customer service reviews and this was no exception.
SECOND ROUND: I had a 69 camaro. We ordered front and rear seats with the console. Payed the extra so there wasn't a giant logo on top. 13 weeks later open the box and there's a nice big logo. The top stitching was a different color from the back seat and last but not least the center insert with the rivets were different colors from the back. Through hours on the phone this took 3 weeks to fix.
THIRD ROUND: 67 Camaro stock seat covers. Sounds simple right? Open the box they look pretty good. We go to put them on and they must have ran out of thread halfway through because the entire center wasn't even stitched together!
My advice would be to just find a trim shop and hire a professional to do your interior.

We ordered the pro series seats just the foam no upholstery and received two completely different seats. One was the pro series like we wanted and one was there 65 Chevelle stock seat and foam. Waited a week for a replacement after being told it would be expedited before reaching out to see where the seat was at and was told "No sugar coating it, we just didn't get it sent out"........ We're going on week three and no answers from the salesman or customer service.
I went to TMI to get my car's headliner redone and Andrew did an awesome job! He's quick and got the job done that same day without delay. lovely products here. Most of all, GREAT PRICES! I recommend him to all of my colleagues and family.
TMI, Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh, I'm stunned at some of the reviews I've seen. I can confidently say our 'entire' experience was fabulous... 5 plus stars! We experienced nothing negative. Only the fantastic products we received and the great customer service before and after the sale up thru the final delivery. The interior system built and delivered for our 83 square body pickup is indescribable . It is totally perfect. The color, styling, delivery schedule, communications, pricing and workmanship are impeccable.
But on par with the stellar product is TMI's tremendous customer care and service before and even after the sale. Being on opposite American coasts we could have never anticipated the customer care and support TMI extended to us. TMI is the type of company that we need more of in this aftermarket interior industry... their team are complete professionals. I called to ask questions abour a center consle fkr my 68 bug they lied and said tbey try to meet factory specs not knowing vw never had center consles then the guy jake and a lady put ne on hold for 30 mins then hang up after that they dont wanna awnser
Very impressed with the quality and professionalism of TMI. The new seats look great in my 65 El Camino and having the ability to order matching fabric to build a custom console was a big plus. I'll definitely do business with TMI again.
What I appreciate most along with the attention to detail is the quality of the materials as well as the tailored fit.
I have found that TMI has the widest selection of material choices and colors for vinyl, tweed etc. that all match the original VW interiors. I never worry about anything not fitting like it left the factory.
Their Customer Service is also very much appreciated. Polite, efficient and excellent communication.
If you want the most authentic VW replacement seat covers, door panels and carpet available (that fit!) TMI is the ONLY choice.

I spent THOUSANDS on a custom 1970 Mustang XR sport interior. Suede roofliner, custom color seats, custom color rear seats with center console, dashpad, center console, foam inserts... everything!
I was assured the materials and color would match across all these items, but upon receiving them it's as if there are 5 different colors to my interior and I have one entire seat that was stitched with a fold that runs across the seat. You can only fix it by unstitching the seat cover. I can easily list 5 other issues. Seat frame rail bolts missing. They were finally sent to me but took 5 weeks to get done.
Prior to ordering, I even shared my concerns based on reviews I had read online.
These people will lie to you and tell you what you want to hear until you hand them your hard earned money. After you do that, forget customer service, forget honesty, forget getting what you paid for.
I can almost guarantee you that within the next few weeks you will see a major class action lawsuit filed against these bozos. I suspect that the people running the company are the ones who are driving it into the ground by teaching the sales staff to over promise in order to make a sale, and the reason they don't honor against manufacturing defects or mistakes made by employees, is because they have horribly mismanaged finances and executives who would rather blame the customer than take any responsibility for their own mistakes.
The best thing these crooks do is take pictures. Well, a lot of pictures of their products are actually missing on their own website, so they can't even do that properly. But you will see a center console and think, "This is perfect!" You will pay for it, order it, and immediately enter the Dante's Eighth Circle of Hell.
Until there is a shake up at TMI and the executives are fired and replaced so the business can run properly, caveat emptor.
Called earlier to ask about fitment of a particular part. Sales representative did not seem very knowledgeable. Kept it short and did not give me a concrete answer regarding my question. Not a good experience at all.
How can a company that makes such awesome interiors with quality and style be such liars I purchased an sport r interior front and back seats with bolstered foam and head rest and was hesitant on purchasing it because the door panels weren't available but the salesman at the las vegas convention center during the 2013 sema show assured me they would be ready for my 1970 chevelle with in the next two months that was almost a year ago I contacted a wayon at tmi and he told me the door panels where gonna be ready at the end of the months for four months and now I get a bunch of I don't knows well in my book you guys suck for coming through and standing by your word and im having my own set of door panels made and I plan on selling them to the hordes of folks are getting the same screwing I have for almost a year being they are based in California and we all know how laid back they are there .....You know with all the surfing and weed smoking
Wow, it was amazing workmanship. It was so good I had them do my rear cup holder as well. I will only go to them for all my interior needs. Great customer service as well, Korin is a great guy and knows very much about this business. Recommendable!
I ordered front seats and rear cover for seat on my 1968 Mustang Ragtop. Quality of workmanship is top notch. Customer service I received from a Justin Hoard was incredible.
Incredibly poor customer service. No reply to my first inquiry. A couple days after my second I finally got a reply from someone who didn't fully read my questions, and only made a statement regarding a completely different product. The second reply I got told me they were not able make an adjustment and that if I already bought the same seats for the front of my car that it would match, once again pointing out that he did not read my TWO sentence email. Even if they could've accommodated my request, I wouldn't work with them on account of how poor their customer service is.
They have nice products once you get them 4-8 weeks after paying for them. If you get them the way you ordered them its a huge plus also...the Customer service is BAD!!!...They obviously do NOT care about the customers!!...beware...they started out of the garage doing vw door panels supposedly....but for some reason its takes them 4-8 weeks or more to make vw stuff?????....Hello??...lol....
I own and operate an automotive shop. In May 2017 I contacted TMI about interior for a customers 1970 Nova. Andrew the salesman took awhile but finally put a quote together and gave me a promise time of 4-8 weeks max. I pre paid the $6k for all the parts. I waited 8 weeks, contacted Andrew and immediately started getting the run around. Nothing but excuse after excuse, email after email. Another 2 months went by before I received any parts. Two of the parts I did receive were door panels that were missing essential pieces for install. I contacted them yet again and still the same excuses and empty promises to make it right. I even flew to Vegas to meet with them in person at SEMA. They once again promised to have my stuff within a couple weeks. Now another 3 months have past and still no parts. I have exchanged numerous emails and phone calls with everyone involved at TMI and have demanded a refund. The "manager" promised a credit a few weeks ago and I have not received that either or heard back from them. I will now be forced to proceed with legal action. This has put myself and my reputable business in a very negative relationship and financial burden with my customer!
This company has been great! I work in a collision Repair Shop and understand Quality and Professionalism. Emailed in for some Red 10th anniversary Covers for my 2003 Cobra. I reached out to Michael Koldus and received great customer service and communication. The team that created these covers did a great job. I installed myself, it s upholstery so ITS NOT THE EASIEST but once seen the product it was worth the countless hours and work. I recommend this Company to anybody needing interior, I m picky about my car, and they hit my needs spot on, thanks guys and keep up the great work.
My husband has ordered several items over the past year in building our 1955 Chevy Bel Air.
