Very nice, cozy and luxurious restaurant. It is part of the hotel, in an ancient palace. The sound of the piano. Gourmet dishes. First-class service. The price is high, but it's worth it. Chic restaurant. Piano music. 5 star service. Pratos gourmet. I recommend. A bocado caro, mas vale a pena.

We loved our stay. The place is wonderful and quiet.
We could experience Sintra by foot and leave the car there.
The staff was really nice and super helpful !
And you have to try the restaurant for dinner if you go there, it was simply delicious
I would recommend to anyone.
We had a wonderful time there. Thank you !!

The palace is a historic building of the 18th century cataloged as national and world heritage (Unesco).

It is owned by the Portuguese State, however it functions as a private hotel (of the international chain Tivoli), which has the concession.

As a rule you can not visit the interior of the palace / hotel, except special permits or if you are a client of the hotel (obviously).

But you can access other services in the interior: the spa, the restaurant and the bar (it is not necessary to be a hotel guest, although it is recommended to consult the availability previously).

As a hotel, it is very luxurious, with many furniture, paintings and other original and period decorations.

The setting is exceptional, with a baroque garden, pool area and incredible views of the ocean and the Pena Palace.

For the general public, you are ALLOWED to enter the first lawn garden (old space for training horses) and also access the Triumphal Arch, where you can see the views of Pena and the sea. This area is normally open to the public without restrictions and it is worth it. And the Penalty. ;)

A good experience at a very good price (compared to the location, the service and what you could pay in France) the salmon was very good as well as its accompaniment. The prices are between 25 and 30 approximately for the dishes. The staff are very helpful. The view and the exteriors are magnificent. The wine is well advised and coordinated.
There are however small negative points: a basket of bread, oil, cherry tomatoes and olives charged at 10 (2 x 5 / pp) is a bit expensive compared to the simplicity of the thing
The ice cream for dessert was very small, without presentation (Chantilly / small wafer)
Despite this, it's still a good experience that I recommend doing once

It is currently a 5 star hotel, however it was once a Palace and is very beautiful. You can go to the restaurant, dress code casual chic, or you can go there to have a snack. Very beautiful place, with very professional service, but with a 5 star price.
