By far and away my favourite Hi-fi specialists. I unusually deal with James and greatly appreciate his depth of knowledge.
He really listens to what you want and point you in the direction of exactly whay you are after. Easily 5 out of 5.

Really great service and advice from James. After discussion ordered a speaker at 1 pm and had it installed and working by 4:30 pm on the same day. Cant ask for better. Also the price was very competative and the B&W speaker performs brilliantly. Thanks Team

Extremely sound advice, pardon the pun Thanks to James for his expert knowledge and recommendations to enhance my setup by the introduction of an external DAC. Audio quality now unbelievably satisfying from all sources including Sonos, blu-ray and high-res files off my MAC (to mention a few) -very impressed!! The OPPO rocks too, such a great addition. Cheers guys.

I bought a Cocktail Audio X14 Music server. Very happy with the prompt service, the phone call to advise of progress and the equipment. The X14 is wired to a hi-fi receiver and has a wonderful sound with lossless files. Tivoli Hi-Fi included a CD player in the price which is appreciated. I enjoyed dealing with them.

Thanks to Tivoli Hi-Fi for selling me an Astell & Kern A&Ultima SP1000. I called at the end of 2017 and was offered the best price. Thought I could find cheaper overseas... Been through the US, Europe and Asia, came back and bought it from Tivoli now 12 months later, because they were the cheapest. Thanks again to Tivoli for great pricing, quick service and helpful staff.

Great buying experience. Paul was very knowledgeable and flexible in providing solutions to my preference for a surround sound setup in the living room. The after purchase experience has to be commended as well. I had an issue with the finish defect on the product and they took care of the exchange with no fuss.

No snobby attitude. No pushy sales techniques. James was more than happy to demonstrate practically everything he had around their multiple rooms in their store. He made me feel comfortable and answered any questions I had. Furthermore he spent considerable amount of time with me, explaining each item he used throughout the demonstration. No online store will beat this customer service!! I suggest you give it a try! Thanks!

I've been buying Hi Fi items from Tivoli Hi Fi for more than Forty years, and they still don't bar the doors when I appear or block my emails.

They have always been infinitely patient and polite, and will always offer constructive alternatives if I'm heading in the wrong direction.

The store set-up itself has always made it easy to compare any or all alternative.

I've just purchased a new Amplifier on-line.

Just as easy and reliable as going in store. You even get a follow-up call to check that you are happy with your purchase and advise of shipping.

I can hardly wait to do the fifty year review.

My experience with James and all those I came into contact with at Tivoli, from first till last, was never less than top-notch professional, and friendly and engaging. No hard sell, no upshifting, no distraction from the pleasure of learning about hi-fi and how to listen to wonderful music. These people love what they do and share their enthusiasm. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else in future.

Hey Goeff, just a shout out about the new fiber optic HDMI cable I bought from you yesturday.
I need to let every one to know it's one of the hottest interconnects that I've bought in the last TEN years, the difference it made to my setup via the FOXTEL 4K box was profound. As it's the only HDMI lead that has worked perfectly and as you know I've had issue with a range of products including the cable that FOXTEL provides.
I just can't say enough about how well it worked from colour manegment to depth of field on image.
Put simply just BRILLENT!!!!!

I have been trading with most of the audiophile shops in Australia, I do agree with most of them are serving their clients far better as compared with Hong Kong one. Tivoli HiFi did impresse me a lot this time round with their excellent service, which being fast response, very helpful, good pricing and quick posting. I do highly recommend them and I am sure everyone of us has understood them well already

Excellent Service, Dependable Advice, always...

Haven't updated my Hi-Fi equipment for sometime, was totally ignorant about streaming devices. Paul Ong patiently helped me understand the concept and choices. Bought a Bluesound Powernode 2, experienced some teething problems at the start, Paul methodically diagnosed the issues, now resolved. Totally happy with the equipment and service. The entire Tivoli team was helpful, they work as a team, covering for each other when your consultant is out. I am a repeat customer since the 80's, the service and advice have remained top notch all this time.

I cannot speak more highly of the professional , passionate, friendly and committed folk at Tivoli. James, Paul, Leonardo, Phillippe and the rest of the staff at Tivoli are just fabulous to deal with and are so helpful. My experience with Tivoli extends now well over 15 years , and I cannot recommend a better provider of their services. I have completely renewed my hifi system in recent times with Tivoli s expert advice and assistance. Nothing is ever too difficult and these guys go out of their way to put the customer first every time. Tivoli s facilities are second to none and are a must see (and listen). They have great connections in the industry and can be relied upon to provide the best advice - they allow the customer to patiently and comfortably consider what equipment is best for them without any of the sales BS. These guys have integrity and back their fabulous products to the hilt. Go to Tivoli - you will see for yourself. Cheers, Parko

Really shocked by the service that I received toda...

Really shocked by the service that I received today. After selling one item that wasn t up to the job, they insisted that a second part was needed to improve its performance which I then purchased. Turns out the salesman was wrong and the two parts were not compatible. This would be be easy to fix if I lived close by but I live 3 hours out of melbourne and had the items posted to my home.

The next time I was in Melbourne I took the add on item, an antenna back in for a refund to which I was refused as I did not have the receipt they had sent to me despite them having access to the record of sale on their system. To add to the mess they do not send email receipts at the time of purchase so baffled by the very unhelpful service I was forced to return home.

I d be a lot more understanding if I d purchased the wrong part but this entire transaction was done on their advice and nether component has performed as promised.

In summary, quality audio, terrible service. No point buying from brick and mortar stores when they give you the same run around you get online!

I'm was super content with customer service at Tivoli. James (team member) was quick to respond to my emails and provided me with all the info I needed before purchase (Dynaudio wireless digital speakers). I got photos of the actual product before and after it was prepared for shipping.

I have been dealing with James for a few weeks now...

I have been dealing with James for a few weeks now and have been really impressed with his willingness to answer questions and set up multiple sets of gear for listening sessions. I have extended my commitment to Bluesound at the store as an interim measure while I look to switch from my existing AV set up in to dedicated 2-channel HiFi system.

The customer service to date has been in the upper level of my experiences. The fact that James has listened to me a tailored equipment to suit my taste and budget is appreciated. And best of all no HiFi snobbery! Great place to learn and listen.

A great store with audio products that range from affordable (for those with modest budgets) to high-end audiophile quality (for those who, like me, can't bring themselves to tell their partners how much they spend on each new piece of gear). The staff I have dealt with have been friendly, helpful and knowledgable. Not just with each item purchased but in ensuring that each component integrates well with existing components. I now have the best hi-fi system I have ever owned and take delight in using it every day.

SAT 11th JAN I had a terrible customer experience ...

SAT 11th JAN I had a terrible customer experience at Tivoli - possibly the worst I've experienced in a retail store. I was asked to leave a demo room despite being there before anyone else and waiting to be served. I was in Showroom 2 looking at the B&W 803 & PS Audio amp - yet to be greeted and wanting to hear the 803s.

A tall/heavy employee serving another customer walked in, said Hi, and started changing some equipment for that customer (Dynaudio speakers w/ Arcam amp). This woman seemed to have little idea about audio, let alone high-end, as she pointed at the cone on top of the B&W 803s and asked "what are those?" - tweeters!!!

It was then the employee asked me to leave the room that I was already in before they were. The woman didn't seem to mind me being there so, I asked whether I, too, could hear the speaker/amp combo. No - he again asked me to leave. I heard the woman make a surprised "oh" as I left.

I left the store and bought my speakers elsewhere during the week.

2020 JAN 22 UPDATED response to Tivoli s response in photo:
1. For someone who wasn t present when this incident took place, the misrepresentation of facts in Tivoli's response is astounding
2. Cust Svc Mgr just said hi/how s it going? - not can I help you? or what can I do for you . Don t lie and make things up
3. No one welcomed me into the store - and, no one greeted me. I understand as, you were busy with other customers and have no qualm with that. But there was no conversation until I was asked to leave the showroom
4. No one encouraged me to look around - I was only greeted with a hi . Another lie
5. My remarks weren't derogatory - they state facts - that s what happened. Although, I accept I shouldn t be judgemental of this woman s inexperience with audio
6. You don t get to dictate how short or long I wait to review you
7. You don t get to dictate how I choose to provide you my feedback
8. You don t get to choose the time/place for me to write you a review
9. How arrogant and privileged are you to think you can dictate to me how I provide feedback? No wonder I had such a poor experience and everyone I ve shared it with has experienced similar
10. I understand you only want positive feedback on Google - if that s the case, only provide positive customer experiences
11. There are better ways to handle how you provide private demos - how you treated me is not one of them.

In addition to his extensive understanding and knowledge of Hi-Fi components, James genuinely cares about the products he sells and ensuring that they are transported safely to the customer.

James went above and beyond to help us with purchasing a set of speakers which involved transporting them from Victoria to South Australia at Easter time during the Covid-19 Pandemic. James kept us informed during all stages of the process and called us 30 minutes AFTER the speakers being delivered to our house to ensure that they had arrived safely.

These speakers have been a long time coming for us, and we are very grateful for all the help and assistance James provided to us.

Great experience. Great staff. I was quite surprised when I asked the staff about auditioning a B&W 603 speakers and he actually carried that heavy thing upstairs (the listening area) for me! (Most other shops would have either told, they don't carry that brand or come back later and they will have the speakers ready for audition)

James and Matt were great! James sourced, and Matt re-set up our home theatre after we got hit by lightning and had to replace basically all our our electricals last year. Great service!

And then this year when our TV antenna was blocked by new 2 storey home going up next door, Matt spotted the issue immediately, and helped us to solve it. Tivoli Hi-Fi to the rescue again!!

James is the Expert Guru of Tivoli Hi Fi, Camberwell. Having problems in recent weeks getting to Netflix on my BeoVision Eclipse TV. Each time I clicked on the Netflix Icon it said I was not connected, so I would have to put in my password to get reconnected. Frustrating indeed. Called James and he dropped in after work. Was, as is his is habit, very polite, friendly and courteous and within 20 minutes fixed the problem. He also checked, because he is so thorough, the sound and other aspects of the TV. Wow! everything works perfectly. James is a Gem, worthy of a Gold Medal (if I had one). Keep up the good work.

Purchased a number of items from Tivoli and the experience over the years has been excellent.
Have been interacting with James predominantly and his knowledge experience and advice has been great. He has looked after me well.
Look forward to eyeing off the next 'toy' that I decide to purchase.
And for the record - excuse the pun, I am a mid market audiophile applying diminishing returns as the boundary for my great hobby.
