Nice small venue located near the river in uptown. Even with a large crowd it's easy to get a drink and go to the restroom. There are typically food trucks outside and you can go in and come out as you please. Excellent place to catch a show.

A staple in the NOLA music scene. You never know who you might see rock the house at Tipi's. This place is often mentioned in the lyrics of songs about New Orleans music. The history is rich here!

A truly historic place! Rather remote from the usual New Orleans parties, this club is the best place to enjoy good live music. Bigger than a bar, less impersonal than a big concert hall! An experience to live!

Went to this iconic place we went cuz we wanted to check it out. They were listening to Parliament and the Funkadelics. It was so much fun. It's an uptown and south of Magazine Street. The drinks were good. There was craft beer. Afterwards there's some really good food vendors on the street.

Zydeco at the iconic Tips. Box checked will always make a stop on future trips to NOLA. Welcoming locals and tourists alike. Great drinks, great music, iconic experience.

Pro tip: there are some notable stops and eats in the Garden District on your way to/ from add in Jaques Imos or a stop at the Maple Leaf on Oak Street. And don't forget a souvenir hoody, I almost never take it off.

Great local venue to catch some New Orleans music. Large, but not too large so you feel up close to the band and the sound is warm and crisp. Local brewery to catch some pre-show drinks and eats with friends.

A must see / experience in NoLa! Open late late (like past 4am during jazz fest) and worth the price. Great standing room only venue with enough space to see the stage from anywhere.

Definitely can get a little crowded so get there early to stake your spot.

Sometimes a college heavy crowd compared to the places I'm usually at however it's a very enjoyable music venue and it's not exclusively a college crowd. Everyone seems to have a good time. There are a range of shows.

You haven t been to New Orleans until you ve been to Tipitina s. There s a big dance floor not really any chairs. Most of the time it s standing room only. When the band takes a break go hang out outside, You may make some new friends. Also, there s usually a taco truck or some kind a food truck outside. This is where the radio station, WWOZ First broadcast out of. This is a classic New Orleans venue and favorite of the locals.
