Saw twenty one pilots there and had an awesome time even with bad seats! The staff weren't very helpful and everything seemed a bit unorganized and hectic but we made it through.
Ridiculously over priced for anything. No lines, just a big mess of people trying to get through one door.
Went to the Times Union Center for a concert and had a fantastic time! Plenty of security around and everything went very well.
Fun watching the home team win the league championship in the home arena.
Great place to see a show indoors. We were in the cheaper seating and still had a great view. Blake Shelton put on a great show with his friends. Very modern facility plenty of food and drink stands. Easy access to mens rooms and the woman seemed to adapt taking over the stall side of the mens room.
Great parking great events, just wish Albany cared more about sports
Went to see joel osteen ministry last i was thier was when the miami sound machine was there air temperature was comfortable.
Not sure why concessions cost almost as much here at Yankee Stadium. This is a small market with shows that can cost as little as $9. Why does a pint and a pretzel coat 16.50?
I haven't been here since it was the Knickerbocker arena lol. Very nice up to date inside. Metal detectors and security was not too bad. Real nice flow. The prices of food though is outrageous.
Nice facility. Saw Metallica. The concessions are VERY overpriced. $7 for a liter of water.
Excellent Staff, was vendor for event and very accommodating. Food was good at concessions (they have DD coffee!)
I've been to the TU many times while I've lived in Albany. The service and that I've experienced has been good and the venue is reasonably clean. Hopefully the new facelift the building is getting looks good when it's all done.
Very small. Good for concerts. Billy Joel bent there 9 times tho! Under construction during visit.
A venue that has been in operation for many years should have its crowd control policies firmly in place. Saw Def Leppard and Journey in May, the lines in went fairly fast & smoothly. However the smoking section didn't open until after the concert began. A fight broke out in the hall and security was slow to respond.
College of St.Rose graduation was here. Very well done
Have seen many show here over the years and name changes !
Came here from Rochester for a concert. Would suggest going early to find parking. There is a parking garage on Hudson/near the USPS that is $11 for 4 hours+ if I recall. I think things close at 8pm in that garage? So if you come 3 hours ahead of time you only pay $7 (1 hour starts at 3 bucks, and increments up 2 dollars per hour till the max). Leave backpacks and waters in your car cause they won't let you take them in.
Nice Greek restaurant near by (The Taverna) and The City Beer Hall. Would suggest getting drinks at the Beer Hall and saving the free pizza tickets they may give you for after the show. We did and drove back eating pizza. It was great.
Venue is ok. I don't think spending the money for seating is worth it unless you're old/tired I think the folks in the standing room only section had the most fun. Beer is expensive (2 cups of shock top was 25 bucks) but what do you expect? Albany police were there offering free water to people who didn't have alcohol which I think is stupid. If you're drinking you're more likely to NEED water than those not. Doesn't really avoid the problem you're intending to avoid. It could actually make it worse.
Great experience and very friendly staff. But it was a little tight especially when everyone was leaving
Good arena to host public events. Most event I look forward is regional convention of Jehovah's witnesses every year.
Nice venue. Went to a Jeff Dunham show... Clean and comfortable
Nice sized venue. Vendors, comfortable seats, large bathrooms.
It's showing it's age but it was good to see it's being taken care of
Great for concerts. Venue is small enough so there's really not a terrible seat in the house. Will be back again
Great night of worship tonight
Thank you to the times Union ceyet for hosting a great event
Decent venue with lots of options for concessions and seating. Went to a concert here and it was pretty ok. A little bit dirty, and some of the amenities were outdated. Older bathrooms and drinking fountains. Seats were very comfortable. Overall, not bad. Not the best arena-type venue I've been to, but certainly not bad.
We went for a Siena game and had a great time!!! Love that there's more food and drink options.
Attended convention here. Nice arena, well maintained. Great location
Loved this place as a kid, RiverRats, and Arena Football. Sad to see it all fade away
Great venue for sports and concerts pricey concession stands
Had a pretty good time just everything was so over priced
Big arena and nice seating.
I attended a few concerts there and a convention. Had a great experience each time.
Very poor ventilation extremely high concession prices totally ridiculous ,excellent Elton John concert
I attended the petting zoo and it was not worth the money.
Nice venue and the parking was the easiest I've experienced at an arena.
It took 45 minutes to drive from Ama Cocina to the parking lot. We were one of the fortunate ones that made it before the start of the show. Many came in at half time.
Everyone had to go to the Times Union Center for Arena Football. Every seat is a good seat with a fun block party 3hrs before the game. Good food and prizes to win.
Had a great time seeing Disney on Ice. Seats were good but not much room. Getting on the road after was difficult though.
A little more than twenty years later from the last time I saw The Phish from Vermont at the Times Union Center I was back again. Let's just say that everything right in Albany. Killer light show and sound that filled the room.
Handicapped accessibility horrible. Staff very helpful going in. No assistance going out. Garth was awesome. Thrilled to see him but I will never go back. Outdated facility even with renovations. Seats uncomfortable. Could not get directions leaving. I was alone with a cane. Couldn't find elevator. Could not be picked up where I was dropped off as Pearl St was closed. Walked to State St to be picked up. Little scary alone. Garth and Trisha rocked. TU not.
Great entertainment venue in downtown Albany. Lot's of good shows and stars. Undergoing some renovations at present.
Seats were a little small. Bathrooms were clean. The tile craftsmanship was outstanding, flawless. People were very friendly.
I've been to bigger venues but this is a nice clean place, and I had a great time. It's pricey as it should be as other are also. I will be going to the times Union center again.
Plenty of parking options and easy to navigate, this venue is hear due to its size and layout. Concession prices are out of control but that's more of an issue with the vendors. Proctors are always helpful and nice. Bathrooms seems to be in good repair and clean most of the time. Plenty of places locally to grab something to eat and drink as well.
This stadium is clean and well maintained. The consession staff is helpful and friendly. The security staff are alert and aware of their surroundings and helpful as well. I felt safe and able to enjoy the Harlem Globe Trotter event with my family.
This place was built badly and continues to be run badly. The seats we had were being dripped upon by the AC (I hope it was AC condensation). The floors were slippery and smelled of stale beer.
The Albany Empire put on a good show and an entertaining evening, but the venue is not a good representation of Albany. We can do better.
