My family and I have had a good time at a variety of shows at the TU Center. The biggest problem I have is the lack of quality food to eat. Everything is fast and fried. How about a sandwich shop or some other kind of healthier food? Otherwise, we enjoy going.

We're lucky to have this center here. The updates over the years are very nice. I only wish that vendors at these events were not allowed to charge such exorbitant, unfair prices for the souvenirs. $5 for a bottle of water. $18 for a plastic souvenir cup with a snow cone in it. Makes it so difficult for young, struggling families.

With needing accessibility for my husband in a wheelchair to minimize length of walk from parking garage into the venue and to an accessible section inside the arena, I made 2-3 calls to a number found online that addresses accessibility questions. I received excellent info on what level to park on in the garage that would allow me access to a bridge that brings you right into arena. They had my tickets at a remote site near where we would enter the center and had assistance finding our section. All in all, their direction made it very easy to get to the concert in a venue we had never visited before. Call and make arrangements ahead of time for accessibility needs. They were very accommodating.

The TU is tidy, with symmetric offerings of beverages and food around the loop. Naturally, everything is priced up, but it's worth heading in pre show for a Druthers beer, rather than dealing with the Albany bar mobs. Seats are pretty comfortable, but no beverage holders, and if you're taller than 6 foot, you'll have to sit sideways. Choose an aisle seat if you have the option. Not too many bad seats here, and the nosebleeds are no where close to the jaw-dropping heights at MSG. Parking is a challenge. Worth the walk from the Hilton parking garage.

The acoustics are AWFUL, the security people are horrible. 1 sat in section 105 row CC, a security guard in a white shirt shined his friggen flashlight in my girlfriends face to shoo me 18 inches from the isle back to my seat (thanks! this would end up causing an argument between my girlfriend and I) but this same JACKASS was oblivious to people jumping the wall to get down to the floor and standing at the wall interfering with our view. Never again! I will NEVER go to the Union Center to see a show again. Bush-league! A waste of my money!

Four of us went to see Jeff Dunham and it was a GREAT SHOW! Aside from the show though, which seemed to be a full house, the experience itself was very nice. I was surprised we were able to get in and out so quickly and smoothly!

Excellent venue for sports or concerts. Plenty of food and beverage stands. Friendly and helpful staff. Relatively reasonable prices. Mr Mike Decker helped us find our seats and I can only say that he was the most helpful and courteous event staffer I've ever met.

Saw the monster truck show here with my son. It was fun. Very loud though so bring ear protection. Parking was a good walk to the center. Police presence was high. I fealt very safe in downtown. I would go back . Don't stop at the McDonald's near by. We waited at the order screen for 20 mins with no cars in front of us. We eventually drove off. But definitely had alot of fun. Pricey for sure. Not a cheap show !

I feel like such a petty person but...it's so expensive. I know bands or artists who come here absolutely are part of the problem but there are some seats they sell and really ..you'd have a better view on your couch

Arrived here, 11/24 @ 7pm after a 3.5 hour drive, among dozens of other unsuspecting folks to learn the event that I had purchased tickets for 3 weeks ago (as a surprise bday gift for my husband) was postponed until 3/16. No phone call, no email, no mention of postponed show anywhere online. Doors plastered with calendars that still claimed the event was going on tonight. Tickets purchased from @Ticketmaster. Never returning to this venue and spreading the word.

We've been here many "times"! For concerts and graduation ceremonies and basketball games. It's a fabulous venue for all of these events. They have held the NCAA Women's Basketball Regional Championships the last 2 years (and numerous other times), where we get to see the UCONN Women play for a trip to the Final Four. And as the Women have made it to the Final Four for 12 consecutive years, we really enjoy the TU. We've never had a bad seat and find the TU convenient, comfortable and attractive. I could complain that they charge $4.50 for a bottle of water and that the bathrooms can be crowded at half time, but don't buy the water and you won't need the bathroom.

The arena is fantastic. The audio is really nice, the view from where we sat in the 129 section was really good. But the seats aren't very comfortable, especially if you're somewhat tall, and the eventual pain in your knees starts to distract from the show.

Also the staff are super annoying. We watched a Cirque du Soleil show where photos were allowed but not video, i can't tell you how many times they kept harassing us about not taking video, every time we were just talking still photos.

Just ban photography altogether, it would be less harassing to your patrons.

The concert was awesome, but make sure you have lots of money with you available. $16 for 2 -20oz. bottles of Pepsi and a soft pretzel. Then $18 for dough balls with powdered sugar on them. And then we stopped at the bar on the way in. 2 Captain and Cokes $26. Ya, bring lots of money!

Handicapped? Unless your wheelchair bound stay away! No place for us with problems walking
or needing support (cane). Especially needing to use bathroom as they are ALL down a flight of stairs or at one end of venue, which is a very long haul.

Decent place for a show... recently sent the Times Union Center a note through their own website bringing to light a safety issue concerning a damaged seat. No response. My advice, be careful... here's what was at my seats

Awesome time I finally got to see the inside of this place and let me tell ya it was an awesome Christmas present! Times union Center delivered when it came to food. It was like going to a show at the fair with your selection of fair food. Except it's not a fair... It's a convention center. Mediocre at best but still entertaining show and great hospitality from the staff.
