It's the only place to go for a big venue. But it has great parking. Great variety of food. The seats need to be updated. They don't provide good seating for larger people. You must have a tiny butt to seat in any of there seats. And they always over book there seats and you need to find a usher. They always correct the problems. And to many security officers that are want a bee cops that threat the paying customer like bubble gum on the bottom of there shoe.

Love it. Need more parking spaces for visitors but the best safest place to go to see anything. I wish more NY city events took place in the Capitol. Because here is the safest. I send my 13, 14, 15, 16, 18 and 20 year olds alone. The police are outside and inside and who are very helpful and nice.

This is a beautiful arena well put together and built the proper way. I know they're doing updated structure on it with inside of it. Which will take some time. I've never been inside but from the outside I do watch movies in the summer cuz they're free to watch from the big screens from the commercials they show outside that building. It is well secured it's probably the only building that secured very well in the downtown area. Besides of course the governor's palace.
A place to go for great sports watching concerts and many other shows they may have their. It is safe downtown area.

Went to attend the Five Finger Death Punch show. Was a most enjoyable time! Had good seats, lines for refreshments we're not too long, memorabilia on sale was a bit overpriced. All in all a nice arena to see a concert in.

Great show line up. Biggest problem is the acoustics. The seems to be no sound deading material in the place and upper seats are painful if the band really cranks the music. Price on concessions are very high. Security is pretty rediculous

The TU center is great. Even though there was like 20,000 people there last night for Blake Shelton it didn't feel that way. We got out after the concert was over in about 5 minutes. Great show, and accoustics. My only complaint is I am a bigger guy, I can't sit straight in the seats and they aren't wide enough. So after a few hours I was in a ton of pain. Otherwise everything was awesome.

I called this phone number. Had to listen to a lady for 2 minutes talking like a commercial trying to advertise. Any button that you push to speak to someone just circulates you back to the advertising. Only in Albany. Cheap Lazy. Thank you.

Most disgusting restrooms we've ever been in! When you charge the kind of money for tickets and refreshments that you charge you should be able to provide a clean facility for the people attending the event!

I will NEVER attend another concert at the Times U...

I will NEVER attend another concert at the Times Union Center in Albany because I have never been so disgusted by such callous treatment in my entire life! We were humiliated, traumatized, and treated like common criminals! I have been taking my daughter to concerts at the Pepsi Arena/Times Union Center as far back as she can remember. Back in April, despite struggling financially to get her through college, I bought floor seat tickets for us to go to the Celine Dion Concert on 12/7 with part of my tax return, because life has been difficult for us lately and we both needed something positive to look forward to for a change. It was an opportunity of a lifetime for us, so I splurged on tickets. We arrived inside to find personnel blocking access to the up escalator. We thought we had successfully passed through the security screening. I purchased a $7 bottle of water that they wouldn t allow me to take on the floor until they poured the contents into a open lidlless paper cup which I had to sit on the floor because the most expensive seats in the house did not have cup holders! The rows of folding chairs were so close together your knees hit against the seat in front of you! My daughter was enjoying the concert and taking photographs from her aisle seat in section 9. An hour into the concert, a guy from security tapped her on the shoulder and asked her to go with him to the back of the arena all by herself. Without giving me any explanation whatsoever, he took my 23 year old daughter and disappeared behind a curtain with her. I was left in my seat not knowing where she was or why she was taken! She was gone for what seemed like an eternity! Finally, she was brought back to her seat by two security guards and we were asked to leave the concert because they said she had a professional lens on her camera! They told her they didn t know how or why it was allowed through security in the first place. Quite frankly, neither do I, because we went through a metal detector and our belongings were searched. Apparently, that did not matter because now we were being punished for their mistake! We had arrived at the venue early enough, so if we had been advised that the lens was unacceptable, we would have simply taken it back to the car. (Of note, we had similar floor seats for the Thomas Rhett concert I took her to for her birthday in September at the same venue, just two short months ago. She had the exact same camera and lens at that concert and it passed through their screening then too, without a word! So, how were we supposed to know it was an unacceptable lens?) We did receive an email from the venue both times entitled, Know Before You Go , which indicated cameras were allowed but no professional lenses . Since My daughter is a college student and neither a professional photographer nor member of the paparazzi, we did not know her lens was considered unacceptable. After the shock and dismay of being escorted from our seats to the lobby in order to further discuss the matter, the guy from security told us her lens was considered professional because it was detachable . So just like that, because of that assessment, our evening was ruined and we were banished from the center because we didn t know that professional and detachable were synonymous! Apparently, security contacted the show for guidance and we were ejected. We are law abiding, rule following people. A simple request to refrain from using the lens would have been sufficient recourse! Seeing Celine Dion in concert was supposed to be a memorable event for us. Well, I guess it will be, because I will remember it as being one of the worst experiences of my life! #CourageWorldTourDisaster #FormerCelineDionFanClubMember #FormerTimesUnionCenterPatron

Our family attended our first arena football and what an event!! The arena accommodates to their fans with many fun and entertaining giveaways/ freebies! The music can be a little loud-- but definitely keeps the crowd into the game! What a great experience!!
Our family watched Paw Patrol at the Times Union Center as well. The lighting, sounds and actor/actresses performances have instilled a wonderful childhood memory into my boy's life!

Have seen several concerts and the venue is great for it. However, my last visit, beers we're almost $12. Most expensive beer I ever bought. More than NFL games and more than Yankee stadium. Crazy.

The show was great but do not spend the extra money on the floor tickets. Not only do they not stagger the seats, they are crammed closer than airline seats without the ability to stretch your legs out under the seat in front of you. Extremely uncomfortable and even if you aren't claustrophobic when the show starts, you may be by the end of the show.

Very poorly run. Few people available to help and not very disability friendly. I am disabled and it is very difficult for me to get around and they had my husband and myself going all over the, facility during a recent Monster Jam event. Will definitely think twice before going there again.

Took my grandson for his birthday with his mother and father to see monster trucks.
We or on the upper level but still had a good view.
We only found that the food and drinks were kind of high-priced.
So keep that in mind if you go for a concert sporting event.
