Great place to grab some lunch while in Lisbon, big choice of food and drink stalls/ restaurants
Nice place to have a snack, drink or dinner in a cool atmosphere. The tables are in a market place, what is really nice. Surrounding them you have a lot if different stores, so that everyone can find something. You can also get Pastel de Nata here, which is packed for travel. 1 Euro each, so definetly buy them here and not at the airport.
Great quality food and service. Always busy. Something for everyone to enjoy
A fun place for supper. A variety of food offerings from soup to Sushi to stir fry and more. Wine and beer readily available. Order from a restaurant the find your seats at one of the many communal tables. Reasonably priced. Great food value.
Place is nice, you can eat something "different". But if you are looking some place with local food, and local people, this is not the place to be. Prices are "for tourists".
Sooo many choices, fresh food and amazing cocktails
A must visit in Lisboa! Great portugueuse food, plenty of restaurants with different budgets, melting pot place where you can feel the good vibes of the city, meet local people and tourists from all around the world gathering around the same table sometimes sharing their food. I definitely recommend
A uniq place to eat and see the local trandy food variaty
Great food - the only trouble is in finding a place to sit during lunch hour. Oh, and deciding which delicious food to eat!
Nice place to eat everything you want. Quiet busy but if you wait near a table you ll find a place.
Almost no warm food available before 12:30. Boy at a tapas bar almost fell asleep ignoring 7 people waiting to be served
For the foodie in you. Known for featuring restaurants with 5 star chefs for 5 euros, you really can t go wrong. Well known A Cevicheria chef, Kiko Martins even has a spot there called O Surf & Turf . (See first picture with the tree roots)
We enjoyed a beautiful grilled octopus dish at place called Monte Mar. We just loved the Time Out market and already want to go back!
For those with kiddos: there a small fish tank near O Surf & Turf that seemed to attract a lot of attention and interest from the 1-6 year range. You may want to check it out!
Big, noisy, crowded food court with various types of food, predominantly Portuguese. Hard to find seating at the family style tables. Tourist trap at tourist prices.
I really enjoyed visiting time out market because its kind of the best of every dish all combined into one place! The only downside was it being so crowded but thats understandable though. So just make sure to look for a place to sit first before you order anything.
Too crowded and not very good value for the price, we were very disappointed by some dishes. Lisbon has far better options for food, you can skip this one
The experience was good. You have a lost of options for food and drinks. However is very touristy. Don't go if you want a local experience
Well. If you want a local experience that'a definitely not the place!
Large selection of small restaurants with great food and fair prices. In most of them, you have the chance to try something small to open your appetite. There are lot of common tables in the middle of the area, so you can buy foodies from several places.
One of the best experience you can have in Lisbon. Crowded place with a lot of options. You will want to try all the food. Super recommended.
Great food! However since we were there in July it was very crowded.
It's kind of like any hip food market (e.g., smorgasburg in NY) with a Portuguese twist. Worth going to just for the variety.
Visiting Lisbon for a week. This is a great place to get amazing food. Huge variety with all price points. Just be prepared to spend some time finding a place to sit. Definitely worth it. I think we went 2-3 times.
A very nice place to hang out with friends and family. A good choice if you want to eat authentic Portuguese food starting from starters and tapas and ending with desserts for a very reasonable price. There are many food and drinks stands/shops and places to sit. The entry is free and no booking is required. There are public toilets and it is an indoors market.
Really it's a cool place to experiment, there are many people and great places to find food from local cuisine to American burger! Sadly, I just made a bad choice... I experimented much more from a Chef's cuisine and just got a simple ratatouille with rice and polpo, and on side many fired polpo for 14,00 ... but got great Pasteis de Nata then...
Lots of different foods, a good place to go to have a quick bite especially if you're not sure what you want!
A way to try all the fancy food from top chefs in Lisbon in a more relaxed atmosphere. Also allows you to try a few different places! Cool large market set up with community seating in-between and some bar spots at the individual places. We were super impressed and it is clearly a very popular place as it was very busy
Cool place Where you can try a lot of portugese specialities.
Lovely food in a friendly and warm environment. The central court is buzzing.
Way overpriced for what it brings, its a trap for tourists! there are better places with the same price! ask local people or research better!
Amazing options at this market from really talented chefs. It's pretty overwhelming having to make decisions. But definitely get a Pastel De Nata at Mantageiria. Best I had my whole Portugal trip.
Such a great spot to try an eclectic assortment of foods. All using local products.
Very busy and chaotic. But fantastic vibe and amazing selection of food!
I so liked the TimeOut Market in Lisbon because of the atmosphere and the different desks where to buy food and drinks of all types. I enjoyed it very much especially for breakfast! A must have to visit for a snack.
Fun touristy upscale foods with prepared plates and meals with traditional Portuguese food at an inflated price by local pricing but still within reason.
Tip, if there's a long line for the bathrooms go up the stairs of the river side entrance and voila - no line.
Close to lovely River Teju walking path and the Cais de Sodre train station Lisbon area villages, beaches, Belem and Cascais.
Turistic spot in The center of Lisbon, always with a lot of people. Great if you want to eat something fast, but good. More than 15 spots from the best of Lisbon
Busy and touristy but very cool! Lots of great food. Worth a visit!
Such a great place! Every city should have a place like this! Gives you a feel for the vibrant, cultural energy of Lisbon.
Just found this place nearby. Food and drink next to market.
You can have a lot of different Portuguese specialities in this market. Small restaurants around and all the tables in the center. It used to be a market but had been converted to a eating area. Very noisy as it attracts crowds, and open until late at night. I would recommend it although I wouldn't considered a must.
A very worthwhile stop whilst wandering the streets of Lisbon - there are so many food stalls here with the top selection of vendors from the Time Out group.
Worth the stop to refuel on your exploration of Lisbon.
Too many people and touristic spot, loses the magic of it's function; very pricey compared to what you can get litterally 50m ahead
Quite packed at dinner time (7pm and later), so kind of hard to find seats. Food is good, but nothing astounding and a bit expensive for what you get (in terms of quantity and quality).
A nice concept. Good ambiance, plenty of choice when it comes to good food and drinks, but unfortunately finding a place to enjoy it is difficult. No place to go with a (large) group, certainly not during the "rush hours" of lunch and dinner.
Good place to get gifts for your family and friends.
Great variety of food and good quality. Pricing is a little high for what you receive.
Great food market! More than 20 different places to buy food from and join seating area.
If you are here when the local market is open (which is in the other part of the building) it is worth a short visit.
Very cool place to have some good food, with lots of different shops, for all tastes. They don't offer enough dessert options though.
Really good place to eat for all different pallets.
A combination of a normal market (fruit, vegetables, fish, etc.) and a food hall with a huge variety of different restaurants. Great for lunch, although it can get pretty busy.
Very nice ambiance to see Portuguese people having lunch/dinner and enjoying various kinds of food. The bar serves interesting cocktails.
Great place to go for a on the go dinner and meet friends
It's a nice place for people to meet and have something to eat. They provide various of food, like steaks, seafood, asian and also snacks and good wine with reasonable price. Cozy atmosphere, in the evening seems more attractive because of the light. Would go again.
Great market to eat or drink, all the stalls look amazing
Crowded and too expensive, there are better places around
Awesome place with plenty of food but not enough of seats. MUST to try.
Not what we expected from a market. It s more a big hustle bustle food court. We didn t end up staying. Had different expectations
Have diner here! Place was packed when I visited but worth the walk from my hostel.
Pretty great place to eat, especially if you are not sure what to get. It is pretty crowded therefore it could be somewhat difficult to get a place to sir, but it wouldnt be too difficult. The prices are alright, i paid about 15 euro for a burger, and it was delicious
A place wit a huge variety of places to eat onder one roof. However, it is too small for the crowd. You will have troubles finding a place to sit down especially if you will come in a group.
Wonderful place to meet with friends. Lots of choices. Remeber to being your bold/mean friend to ask for seats. Tables are limited.
Great selection of varied cuisines. Place was clean, festive and friendly. A little on the pricier side, but still worth it.
High quality nosh. This isn't your average food court.
Great place to taste local food in less official atmosphere. All range of restaurants.
A good place to try a lot of the city s most popular dishes. It get really hot in there so avoid the hottest part of the day.
Modern, urban setting while very relaxed. Like a mini Reading Terminal Market in Philly.
So much Food to choose from
But not cheap
Very busy at 1 pm
Nice option for a meal and some alternative shopping
Full of life and so many good choices, a place to go once when in Lisboa, it is a mix of food from the world and typical Portuguese food
A great place to go get some quality food for a cheap price. It is a massive hall with food stands lining the sides and then seating in the middle. Be warned, around lunch time it cam get pretty busy and you'll need to fight for a table.
Lovely, informal market, with a vast variety of food & drinks. The only possible downfall is that it's very crowded, but that also adds to the charm.
Very nice food and drinks but it is often very full and not so easy to find a seat
Different type of special food
Little expensive but it worth to try it
Traditional market, converted into a food court, if you have little time and want to try gourmet Portuguese food it is recommended. It's not cheap but you have many options to choose food
Tourist trap. If you can afford to waste your time waiting for your check and bad service, this is your place.
Went to Pap Acorda restaurant upstairs however next time back I'm definitely trying the market on the main floor. Looks like a lot of fun.
Such an amazing place, with amazing food, a great selection and fantastic prices!
A huge hall where you can taste a lot of different kind of food (Portugal and international). The best chefs of Portugal run small restaurants here. Great wine, beer, cocktails are also offered. Not inexpensive, but you can taste different cuisines at the same spot. The food is given out on trays (self-service), the guests than share long tables and can make new friends from all over the world. Recommended!
Great selection of amazing food but be ready for it to be crazy busy!
Very spacious place! We were very impressed by the Mercado in Madrid so we thought the market would be worth a visit. While the variety of options is not as great here as in Madrid, everything we bought was very yummy- definitely worth a visit especially after a nice walk by the sea since it is quite close to downtown Lisbon.
-great choice of food but also a bit too expensive
-nice location and good music
Everything you could want to sample all under one roof. Some fantastic food and drink spots. Can get very busy so you need to time it right.
