I'm a Canadian traveller who visited Honolulu in the Christmas and I had a great time at Tikis. Reservation was easy as done by phone and successfully got the spot. On the day of Christmas eve, I ordered a Turducken which was a limited time offer and it was great!
Great happy hour with an awesome view from the patio. Helped that it was right downstairs from our hotel. Would definitely revisit my next time in Hawaii.
Fun atmosphere and nice live music. Only got free appetizer (yelp check in) and a couple of beers. Can t complain about high prices in this part of town.
Great spot to dine with wonderful views, atmosphere, and entertainment. The food was AWESOME, and the service on point. Will definitely go back when in Waikiki again.
Good food, small menu choice. On the spendy side. The waiter kept trying to up sell the higher priced menu items, a bit pushy. Great tasting food on the beach.
Thanks again for last night meals!! Food was amazing again. We loved our kalua pig quesadillas and the prime rib poke!!!! All the associates have been nice, patient and kind. Keep focusing on quality. Just please try to improve your beer and WINE list. See you soon! Silvia and the other Queens Beach friends
I had the Fish Tacos. They were delicious, a lot different then one's I'm use to in southern California. They were still good. Only thing I didn't care for was the Taro taco shell. Give me corn any day.
Horrible service! Waited for 20 minutes for our reservation. Then sat for 25 minutes at our table and never had a server even come by to take our drink order. This was after we complained to the manager. We left after that.
Came here twice to try and eat and they ve got a sign saying reservations only even though 70% of their tables were empty and the hostess told me sorry but no walk-in s right now. Second time I came by another sign is out there saying they re not accepting anymore customers when again almost 70% of the tables were empty... I thought restaurants were hurting and needed business, apparently not this one. Won t try coming here again.
Came to celebrate a big birthday and they didn't disappoint. Great drink selection and their butter fish was delicious. Taro bread was so soft and the butter amazing. Love their cute souvenir mugs they offer. Great momento for a special occasion! Patio is lovely with a great view of the beach and trees across the street.
My friends and I had the BEST time ever in this place! We had amazing service, an awesome server, the drinks are so delicious and the food is absolutely to die for! I recommend this place 100 times to anyone! It is Definitely worth your time and money!!
Food is subpar and surprisingly expensive. Most of the waiters and waitresses seem to be space cadets. It was very slow there, yet we almost never got checked in on. We had been done eating for nearly 15 mins before he came by, at which point we asked for the check. A bunch of them were conjugated by the bar talking, instead of serving.
Friendly and fun staff, great service, decent food. Little pricey but it's in Waikiki so I guess that's expected. Parking is a bit of a hassle, but can valet at the hotel right beneath, and the restaurant will validate it. Enjoyed the ambience inside as well.
The calamari katsu (small brown dish top left) was flavorful & tender. The kalbi beef gyoza (green dish) was crispy, sweet, and savory. The guava glazed baby back ribs were tender but they weren t that flavorful. My wife had the catch of the day and she gave her food a 4/5 as well. Food wise the food was just alright the main dishes lacked a little more flavor to them. As far as the drinks go we got the mai Thai and that was great! Prices for main dishes are around $30+ which are a little too overpriced. Overall a good meal.
A great dinner that started with cocktails, a crab dip appatizer and fresh fish as my entree. Add the beach front setting and live music and it made it a five star evening.
My wife and I went, and sat in lanai area, which is self seating, and we were ignored for 20 minutes--waitstaff walked past us, didn't offer menus...or even speak to us. We walked out.
Located across street from ocean and park. Good ambiance. Assigned seating along view side but open tables about them with ocean in sight. Live music and hula dancers. Daily specials and 2-5 happy hour. Fantastic service from Chats who knows how to work the patrons! She assisted customers in both areas and while professional, she's friendly and charming making everyone feel valued. She seems to enjoy her job and it really shows. We will be Back!name misspelled! Chara!!! And the guava ribs were excellent! Thank you, Chara!!!
We used Tiki's Grill and Bar for our wedding reception for our destination wedding. We had a fairly small group and so we held our reception in the main part of the restaurant and ordered off the main menu. The restaurant was very responsive when we were arranging the reservation. For a small fee you can add white table clothes on the tables, which was a nice touch. You can also add cake service - which includes a small table for your cake and desert plates/forks - a huge plus! Our servers were very attentive throughout our time. The food was absolutely delicious! I am gluten/dairy free so I ordered the Ratatouille Tower and added grilled chicken to it. It was my favorite meal during my entire time there, so good! The souvenir glasses they offer are fun as well, and they will rinse it and box it up for you to go at the end, which was very nice! Overall a great experience!
The best bar in waikiki! My fiance has been going to Hawaii for 10 years and ALWAYS comes here, so he was really happy to bring me to meet the regulars he knew there. Rick the bartender is awesome! Service was always on point by everyone working there, they work as a team to ensure you're always with a drink or taken care of. The prime rib poke bowl is SO good! I like to add a side of rice and avocado and BOOM, delicious! One of the best places to also watch the sunset!
I came to Tiki Grill and Bar to celebrate my birthday and our waitress Kim (Kimbra??) Went above and beyond to correct and issue I had with my steak being overcooked. The chicken entree over pasta my eife ordered was very tasty and so was mine once the issue was corrected! The customer service and attention to detail was top notch and we greatly appreciated the efforts to make my day feel special! Thanks again Kim!!!
We ate @ Tiki's every meal we could while we were there. (I dream of their calamari steak to this day) The food is fabulous but it is difficult to top the incredible view of the beach, the friendly staff and overall amazing experience.
One of the worst food experiences ever. Food was bland and service should have been better. Our waiter must have apologized at least four times and no thank you from the hostess on our way out. Given that they have $200+ bottles of wine on the menu made it feel like they were trying to be the Trump Plaza but could barely pull off McDonald's. I had the snapper which I could normally eat five days straight. What I was served had zero taste. We won't be back here ever
We couldn't find a restaurant that wasn't over an hour wait until we called Tiki's. We got in right away, which is surprising because it is busy. The service was quick, food was very good, volcano drinks are awesome and you get to take the volcano home!
Awrsome music every night, delicious food and friendly service. I had the Lychee Martiny, The wipeout and another drink I cant remember the name of it Over all FANTASTIC!!!
I would like to make a formal apology to this place. I told my partner that this place wouldn t likely be good, argued to go elsewhere.... and I was SO wrong. The food was amazing. So tasty and cooked to perfection. Everything we had was delicious. He even said it was the best meal we had on the island this week.
We were so excited to finally try this place out as we have lived down the street from it for a while. We make a reservation on a Wednesday night to take our visiting friends. We arrive on time at 6:30 and are seated. We order three drinks and it takes 20 minutes for them to arrive, and I look around and the place isn t even that busy, it s wednesday. But whatever, I ll give them the benefit of the doubt, but no, when they do the beers are so warm. So we ask for our check for the one drink that was consumed and we plan to head out to get dinner at a place that is actually edible, respectable, and with reasonable prices. It takes another 15 minutes to receive the check for one thing and then another 15 to get our card back. So if you re counting that s 45 minutes, FOURTY FIVE MINUTES.
If you re visiting or a local, avoid this place like the plague. Eat at Yard House, Dukes, Flour and Barley, Doraku, or literally anywhere else.
Matt who works the lunch shift is awesome , very friendly and professional & makes you feel like family . Food was great and great drinks I highly recommend .!
A friend held thier wedding reception here, it was a lovely night, the food was great. We had a buffet style. The noodles were to die for. There was live music, the only thing was the wedding speeches had to be done when the band was on a break. Overall, Tikis was a lovely place to have the reception!
Great service! Good food. Also live music! On Wednesday's they have a band called City Boys!! I love them and their music!! So will you! Give it a try! My go to spot every time I'm in Hawaii!!
Good place, great view! On the second floor and facing the beach off Ala Moana. We ordered a couple of drinks that were too sweet and light on the alcohol but the foodd was good. They had Karaoke going which was fun but painful to listen to at times. LOL. Service was great and good advice on what to order.
