I loved all the animals plus we got to see the baby kangaroo
Went there to see "Nacho" the 5 mth old baby sloth. Staff was super friendly, informative about so many animals. They are a totally non-profit rescue center. If your looking for the big zoo experience, its not there. Its smaller, but way worth the price of admission. I totally enjoyed myself and will visit again soon.
Tiger World is an absolutely wonderful place to visit. My love for Tigers and wild cats is huge so my boyfriend surprised me with Carnivore feeding tour last night (July 16th, 2015) and I am still smiling from ear to ear with the experience we had. We also walked around the zoo before they closed and then came back for the feeding tour.
Our tour guide was awesome and gave great information about all of the animals, and also answered all the questions that people had.
I will definitely be adopting a Tiger, and going back again. I am thrilled with the experience and thank Tiger World for such a great zoo for these animals.
I definitely recommend anyone to go and experience the feeding tour.
My husband and I went and had a wonderful experience. The handlers that took care of the Tigers and the other animals were very knowledgeable and the love that they showed for them was something that would warm your heart. I would highly recommend tiger world to anyone
My family and I love going to see the animals at Tiger World. The people that work there take really good care of the animals and thanks also to the volunteers that help around the grounds.
We came for boo at the zoo, and it was amazing! Great price, great people, and fun for my little one!
Very nice park to view the beautiful animals. We even got a chance to pet lion cubs!
Great to see a place who takes care of the animals that are getting too close to extinction
Very neat place, a little dirty but all in all awesome experience for the money.
This Place is Absolutely Amazing! Had to bring a load of meat for Feed! People here are Doing Great Things for These Animals!
Came down from Indiana to visit family. This place is absolutely amazing! The animals are well taken care of and you can tell the workers are passionate about what they do. I would love to visit it again some day!
This place was nice but I gave 3 stars because there were so many picnic tables to eat at but we could not even sit there because there was bird poop everywhere from the free range different kind of birds. They are cool and all but I really think the eating/sitting area should be fenced off so the birds can t go to that area. It s so unsanitary and disgusting. Other than that like I said, the place was nice. I guess if you don t have any kids or need to sit and take a rest during your visit this would be a great place to go.
3 or 4 lions and tigers but the birds are everywhere. Ducks and geese be prepared
This is worth every penny if we could see all the animals. I just felt short changed after spending seventy dollars and half the animals were not there
Love, love, love this place. The kids didn't want to leave! Everybody should spend an afternoon here. The animals are amazing and appear very well cared for. The place is also very clean. The cats are beautiful and HUGE. Give it a visit, you won't be sorry.
Nice place for families. Staff is nice and very knowledgeable.
We enjoyed our selves.got very close to the animals.well worth the money...they have lions that you will never see any where else..
Amazing place and tons of animals to see really fun and interesting
Wonderful little place. You will never see these big cats so close, and to top it of, we heard them ROAR! Very impressive. We will be back soon!
Simply amazing. U dont get a chance to such a healthy group of tigets lions and other cats anywhere else. I suggest to go at 9 am sharp when they open gates and thats when they feed all the cats. So u can just go with the feeders and see the animals from very close and take some nice pics when they r being fed. Otherwise most of the day the cats would be resting inside the covered area or under a tree far in the corner where u cannot even see them.
We had a blast when we were there. It was just so miserably hot outside.
Really good selection of animals. Enjoyed the white tiger
Great place for families to go!
Calm enviroment, everythings fenced in &' the animals are beautiful. When it's hot out, the big cats aren't very active though so if you go in the summer they will just sleep lol
It's cool to see the animals but they are stuck in small cages.
Been to many zoos and wildlife preserves in my day but this one had more variety of predatory cats than I've seen in one place. Pretty good... highly recommend.
A wonderful place to spend the afternoon with the family! The staff was courteous and quite helpful, and the animals were awesome to see! Lots of diversity among the menagerie, all in all it was an excellent trip, and well worth the money. 10/10 will return soon!
Visiting for 2 nd time and as the weather is getting cold all the cats are active and can see them very close.
Great place to go with friends and family.
Very nice place to appreciate the tigers and lions that are beautiful, and take care of them so much .
Waist of money, bird poop all over the place, and smells like poop
Great family time location. Staff very helpful. Go see the bears.
One of my favorite places to visit for animal encounters...I prefer over the traditional zoo's. I'd definitely recommend for the entire family and each time I go they are always growing
A gem of a place. We came early in the morning so we got to see the animals eat their breakfast.
A great place to take the kids. They have all types of animals you would never think you ll run into in North Carolina. My children love it here. It s affordable and close to home.
They have some beautiful animals there, but the fencing is out-dated and several of the animals appear stressed and/or injured.
It was Exciting to see Wild, Exotic Animals. Amazing. Unfortunately, rotten, spoil meat, unclean water (WATER is VITAL for these animals to drink), wet, muddy dirt and poop smell inside their habitat is very disturbing. You do feel sorry for them. Some are alone, which is the saddest thing, no interaction at all. I think the fence are unsafe. Tigers and Lions are very well capable of climbing those fences. Very Dangerous even if one climbs over the fence. Anyone with children has to watch their kids as they are walking on concrete (pathway), ducks are loose and they poop everywhere. The store shop is small. They do ask if you want to donate. Reptiles will be added to the place, which at this time is under construction.
Love this place. Been going since the year after it opened. Lea (the owner) is friendly and awesome. The staff is usually pretty awesome too. I m definitely glad they have some pavement down for strollers and wheel chairs now. My only issue is we shouldn t be forced to bring our kids through the souvenir shop just to go into the zoo or to leave, not really fair to parents who have to tell their kids no they can t have a toy because they are expensive.
Must see As well as the cat sanctuary if your lucky wnough for access. Actually found them on accident.
It was a great place to see animals up close. The animals looked well and had a good amount of space in their enclosures. I also really enjoyed the feeding cups you could purchase to feed the wolves, primates, birds and bears.
I've been living in the area and I didn't know about this little gem until recently! The prices are reasonable, the animals are super cute and they have way more than tigers! The staff seem friendly and knowledgeable.
A great place to visit with young kids. A lot of it is in the sun so beware very hot days.
Great face to face experience with the animals. Hang out with peacocks and guineas and ducks and chickens that roam free. Lots of big cats! Friendly staff! At first I was nervous cuz it seems like we were driving into a residential neighborhood but upon arriving it was everything I expected and more. They have an owl that just stares at you it's very beautiful.
Took my 3yr old on a Saturday! Absolutely fun and lots of animals to see and feed! Family fun for all! The tigers and Lions you can see very up close!
Awesome awesome awesome!!!! Don't miss this place... What a blast
Animals are very well kept and healthy. Good layout.
Had fun with the kids not a terrible place by any means, the wolf looked very rough though
This place is the most fun in the mornings! They feed all the big cats then the lions and ligers and tigers roar and growl their happiness. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff, too.
Best place ever! Better than any zoo. The people that make this place happen are amazing & selfless people. The animals are so much more lively & personable. You don't see that in any zoo.
Had an amazing time with my baby!! Its so great to be so up close to these beautiful endangered creatures. Michael and Lil Wayne are my favs
What a great place. Took our grandson and he is still talking a out it.
I've been a couple times. Covid hasn't really changed other 5han the gift shop and entry times. But they seem to be lacking on display and upkeep. Otherwise normally a good family visit
Nice place but could be alot cleaner. Price a bit much but you are paying to see endangered animals.
I have been to zoos all over the world....this one is different and one if my favorite as you get to feed some of the animals and they appear to be cared for as pets rather than just animals.
Amazing place! Great what they are doing there at that facility. Went there on our last day in NC. It can be walked through quickly if need be but also offers a good amount of different tours along with encounters.
This is a great place! It's a non profit wildlife sanctuary that puts the money they get back to the animals. Every time we've come here, you see evidence that they've done so, with upgrading facilities, habitats, etc. The staff all are friendly and knowledgeable. The feeding experience was very cool to participate in (helped train a leopard) and would highly encourage visiting them and their animals!
Nice place to take the kids. I do recommend a sturdier stroller if you have kids. Some areas aren't paved and it can be hard to get in with the stroller.
I lo e this place! The only breeder in the world of pure breed white tigers! Also have some animal combinations like Napoleon Dynamite's liger, ti-liger, and others
Wonderful park. Amazing, friendly staff. Animals are obviously well loved and cared for. Will definitely visit again
We love Tiger World. Had to miss Sabre this time but Luna, Radar and Michael were great to see.
Really get to see a lot of tigers and lions and you can get pretty close to them. We have been there multiple times and always enjoy it.
Tiger World is almost everything we want in a zoo without the crowds. You get much closer (but safely so) to the animals, and get to see the big game cats and fascinating animals you always seem to look for. Lions, including a rare white lion and some kittens when we visited, lots of different tigers, a liger (sleeping out of view on our visit), leopards (including my favorite - the panther) and a cougar. And plenty of fun animals like lemurs, various monkeys and birds, a kangaroo and owl ... fun variety.
And as we were leaving, we got the cockatoo to dance with us, bobbing his head and shaking his tail feathers. Fun day!
I have visited several times and enjoyed each trip! It's a far more interactive experience than a regular zoo! It's also very apparent that all of the animals are very well cared for! Take the whole family! You won't regret it!
Enjoyed my visit. It is really nice what this place is doing for those animals.
Loved our visit here. Great staff. Wonderful animals that appear well fed/cared for. Will definitely return.
I love coming here even though it is small and room for improvement. The animals are well taken care of and the place keeps making improvement with more donations they receive. It is a lovely experience everytime we visit. Nice play ground for kids. Handcap accessible park, and clean.
This place is amazing and has all kinds of exotic big cats!
Very nice experience, we were a little scared by the tigers; peacocks, geese and other birds were loose, but was a great experience.
Allot to see, good value for a family. Check out their Groupon deals.
Loved it ...Animals look well taken care of..lots of places to sit if needed...otherwise a beautiful walk around the park looking at many different animals. Staff is friendly and eager to answer questions.
awesome place to visit. This animal sanctuary seems to take very good care of their animals. If animals are u vet veterinary care they will pay a sign so that visitors are aware the animal isn't feeling well. They ensure that their animals get exercise and even perform shows that help the animals in exercise and physical therapy.
This was such a cool experience! 10/10. Tiger world is also a non-profit that does such great work for animals of all kinds!
Loved it!! A liiiiittle on the pricy side, but still worth it. Strangely, 90% the animals were very active, pacing back and forth. The Gibbon monkeys were hilarrious!! Making loud siren sounds with the spectators. Very interactive. Got to get pretty up -close to the lions, tigers, and bears........oh my. Sorry, had to. Lol.
This place was awful. Most of the tigers and lions were under veterinary care. It doesn t look like they are being taken care of at all. They all look miserable. I will not be supporting this place anymore.
Large variety of species, well marked. Nice grounds and gift shop.
