Some of the staff is great a few not so much. Parking is horrible, hot deli is awful, never have chicken tenders and just tell me why they can't have them. I go james Bay or hillside they usually have them if they don't they tell me shop and they will make them. I know that sounds stupid by it's one of the few things my kid will eat and they never have them.

Well "Thrify's" is a very ironic name for this chain of stores. A tub of yogurt will set you back $4.99, a box of cereal will range from $6.00-$10.99, fruits and vegetables are also very expensive. Expect to go spending $100-$200 per person for groceries. I wouldn't have a problem with these prices (you get what you pay for, and "Thrifty's" has excellent service), but I think it needs to rebrand itself. Hands down this is one of the most expensive stores I've been to. Management should try to get these spiralling prices under control even if it means slightly fewer staff.

This is my nearest grocery store and the staff are always helpful and fast on the till. Sometimes the produce is a little beaten up so I suggest going in the early morning or late evening once they've restocked. Weekends are usually extremely busy, especially on holidays.

Thriftys at fairfield plaza is a very busy store. I do try to go at off times but still it gets extremely busy. The layout and size of this store could definitely use a makeover...the aisles are not wide enough, the entranceway is jammed many times as the way it is set up is too crowded. The produce section doesn't seem to work either. Everybody seems to get in each others way! Just finding a plastic bag you have to go on a search. Parking can be tortuous. As it is the go to plaza in fairfield, perhaps its time for a new design.

Its all about Thriftys in Victoria! I think they just meet the needs of the community with the types of foods that they sell, the service and where they are located. Fairfield Thriftys is my neighbourhood grocery store and I am always there. It's always packed which kind of drives me crazy, but what can you do.

Pretty small Thrifty's compared to some others. Not very well organized. Some of the cashiers don't know how to bag and many staff don't follow their training. Produce here is pretty good as is with most Thrifty's, but their bulk section is poor and some prices are far too inflated.

I had placed an online order for my mother yesterday and i made the delivery time for today and the order came in the correct time frame but they forgot my milk , even though they didn t charge me they could of called to inform me if they were out of the milk I wanted ... it was a bit disappointing. They also charged me an additional $4.95 for a packing fee which was not specified online , the only fee it said I would be charged is a delivery fee of $3.00. The delivery man seemed rushed and wasn t the best customer service experience . This is why i rated 2 stars.

Visited store lots of times while House/ Pet sitting over the last few months. Good quality stock and helpful staff. Only caution I have is be patient grabbing a parking spot as it is extremely busy parking lot with all its resources. Drive slow and be courteous.

I was in the store last night at 8:30 with only 2 cashiers on and lines for them half way down the aisles. While people fumed, there were numerous other staff working all over the store who, even if they were not trained on the tills, could have been helping to pack groceries. I gave up and went to the Market. Whoever was the manager last night should be taken to task, the impression was that you had a lot of unhappy customers and that your staff could not have cared less.

It's hard to access things in the produce department. You have to park your cart away and try to make your way through real chaos. And you keep stumbling over clerks scattered everywhere in the grocery store and blocking aisles. It's obvious we bother their employees. It also appears that it's ok for their employees to run fast around customers when they have to move from A to B. Never seen a deli clerk available behind the counter. You have to wait, ask and complain to be served. Seriously, I prefer the other location in James Bay. The Fairfield Thrifty Foods is the worst experience you can expect while shopping in a grocery store on the Island.

Full selection of Thrifty's usual fare. This is the original store from the beginning of Thrifty's. Perhaps a little on the smaller side but it does have great staff and everything you need.

Handy. Open 24 hours. Very expensive. Crowded a lot. Has most groceries. Parking under cover in back. Hardly used. Everyone parks in front. Toilet in mall. You need combination. Pharmacy reasonable and great staff.

Absolutely everything we bought that was locally made or grown was 5 star. From the produce to fresh meats to dairy. Customer service was superior in all departments. Wish we had this store in North Carolina, I would shop exclusive. Thank you for doing what you do.

OVER PRICED UNTRAINED STAFF. Clearly proper training of staff in helpful customer service is not a priority for the owners or management at Fairfield Thrifty Foods. You're lucky to get a "you're welcome" from some of the younger ones. Others are so entitled that asking them a simple question will send these snowflakes over the edge. The older staff can be quite helpful and courteous, but it's not a priority for management to train younger ones in this very important part of representing their store. To me there's an attitude that people will shop there regardless, so why should they make an effort. Well I'll tell you why. There's Fairways, Save On, Whole Food, Oxford Foods, China Town, Wal-Mart, that's why and they care, and they show it.

This is a good Thrifty's, parking lot is quite busy but the store is laid out relatively well and they have good produce. I really like the fresh seafood selection at Victoria Thrifty's and they always have ripe avocados! They are my go to avocado store. In case I didn't mention it, I like avocados.

Cashier did not have any interaction with me while he was really friendly with everyone in front of me. I said hi he looked away. I said thanks he looked away. Didn't ask if I need a bag. Nothing.

This is my least favourite Thrifty's. The store is cold (both temporally and in the Customer Service sense). I find the store disorganized and a lot of the staff unfriendly. I have only shopped there twice or three times and am not in a hurry to return.

Best of the Thrifty's Stores. Best selection, best service, best flowers, lots of parking. In the same mall there is a Pub (Ross Bay Pub), hardware store, Pharmacy, Post office, gas station close by. They even have a Japanese restaurant!
