Incredibly scenic location, super friendly staff.

Incredibly scenic location, super friendly staff.

I highly recommend this location for families, no end of things for the children to do, paddle boarding, couple little beach s, beautiful lake for float tubes, ghost town with all manner of attractions, amazing grounds. The only thing I d mention is it s not exactly quiet as the highway is close by but other than that a great place for a stop in or a stay.

I really recommend this place with their amazing Ghost Town! The hotel is located beside the lake and the view is fantastic. The Ghost Town would be the best museum that I ever visited in Canada! We had a great time with our friends here. The staff also are very friendly.

Most underrated stop between kelowna and calgary. Lots of historical buildings and they keep adding every year. The trains are a huge hit with my son, he loves walking through them and seeing all the different types.

Fun ghost town, lots to see and a ton of Canadian history. Enjoyed the rail history and touring the cars. Also seeing the old stores and old brands that are still around today was eye opening

The hotel does not meet the modern taste, the decor fits in with the outward appearance, since everything is kept very decent to dark, it does not quite agree with me. Room service and breakfast were ok.

Rooms have beautiful views, and get quite cool at night, but the lack of accurate temperature control might put some off. Beautiful grounds but slightly dated. It's also a maze to navigate. Overall though, charming! Can't recommend it enough!

Pretty good if you ask me. Yes they have no AC because they generate their own power -- makes sense. You might think twice in really hot weather. The dining room isn't fancy but come on folks. People come here for the jaw dropping scenery, not fine dining. Breakfast in particular is excellent. The ghost town is interesting and the train ride is worth the money -- someone complained that it's really short but really, it's $2 for adults and $1 for kids. You can't take a bus for that.

If you are stopping in the Revelstoke area just for a bed for the night you can get a similar room for less (not a lot less) at the Super 8, but if you want a neat experience, Three Valley works for me.

We did not stay at the hotel but went to the "ghost town" which was an interesting experience. This place is a hoarders paradise. At times I was completely confused at what I was seeing. There is such an extensive collection of stuff. There is literally something for any collector to see.

This place was disgusting. It needs a major make over. Everything is old and smelly. No wifi in the rooms. Dirty towels. We did not get any soap or shampoo. When complained to the front desk they told us to come there and get some. There seems to be an open sewer canal just behind the hotel which smelled horribly. The restaurant was lowest grade as well. We paid $170 for the room. I don't think it's worth more than $80.

Excellent customer service and everyone here has been very informative on the history of the family run business. Prices are very reasonable for the chalet and rooms are clean and very welcoming. Beds are comfortable and every room has its own view. There is Nothing better than sitting on your own private balcony, overlooking the garden and beach, to relax after a long day of site seeing. Gift shops are very reasonably priced if not cheaper than most others and the restaurants have great food, decent sized portions and reasonably cheap. We usually don't eat at the restaurants we stay at because they are so expensive but here it was cheap enough that we are most of our meals here. The ghost town here is a must see and has some very unique items and displays. It is only minutes into Revelstoke and The Enchanted Forest. We can not say enough about this place, We highly recommend it. Already looking at another holiday here in Sept. 2019.

I have noticed this place since I was old enough to see out the window traveling with my family and have never stopped before. But this trip with my own children we decided to stop and was a great choice. Tons of historic buildings have been moved here and erected into an excellent little village. Old car museum ( some pre model T ) and a train round house full of rail cars to look through. Finished off with a little mini golf. If you think this place looks interesting trust your instincts and come inside. You will be pleased.

The staff there are great. From booking to check in, the restaurant and gift shop all great people. BUT. the restaurant was grossly understaffed and most of their customers couldn't understand that. The line up at the gift shop grew quickly as well. The rooms need updating I understand it's a "heritage" site but the rooms are from the 60s not like the ghost town that was from gold rush days. With a bit of work this place could be a must stop for travellers instead I find it just as easy to go to Revelstoke to get a more modern room

We ate here and had a great diner lunch. We spent most of our time at the ghost town which undersells the amout of stuff there is to see. Old cars, trains, mining, antique clothes, early telephone equipment.. allow for at least a few hours.

were driving through and wanted to stop by and check out the ghost town, however we were very deterred by the price. $14 a person to walk around an empty town on the side of the highway seemed a bit too much not including a tour guide even. especially for a road stop attraction seemed too much. other tan the outrageous prices the hotel and and view were amazing. not sure of the prices on the hotel rooms but if they were decent enough seems like a great place to stay if you're in the area

The room was too expensive. Far too expensive. Excellent view. Very nice staff. Restaurant has below average food. Sad to say they use instant mash potatoes. Half price coupon off the ghost town but for price of rooms and gifts they should include the ghost town for free. Please whatever you do guys update the pillows! If you stay here may want to bring your own.

Great place to stay. The staff is all super friendly and helpful. The restaurant has good homestyle food and great views of the lake. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Ghost town is really cool and great for a walk through history. Sand beach on the lake with kayak rentals on site. Rooms all have a wonderful view of the lake and garden. A must stay for a relaxing getaway.

Hotel in desperate need of renovating. The tub in room 418 filled up to the brim while I had a shower this morning because it was clogged. Yuk! No AC made for a very hot evening trying to fall asleep. No WiFi. Very disappointed in the food and service. Our server was awkward and odd. Told us she thought another one of her customers was drunk and about to drive but she didn't want to call the police because she was too busy and almost done her shift.

I have yet to come here but I had to stop for a photo. It is such a beautiful place in an amazing mountainous region of the Rockies.I also noticed a sign there for a ghost town so it would be a cool place for me to explore! This whole area is amazing with tons of trails and attractions all over the place.

We just stopped off to take a look at this place (driven by it many times on our drives to the coast. It is an interesting place just west of Revelstoke. It is essential built by one family. The restaurant and cafe menus were not particularly inspiring. But the "ghost town" might be worth a return visit.

Cool place to stop if time permits on a trip. Located close to Revelstoke set off a scenic backdrop next to the lake with ability to rent equipment for a day on such. The lake does get rather choppy at times (work with railway that operates adjacent and see the change in the lake very rapidly with storms or changing wind patterns). Ghost town located at the site as well which is entertaining to take children to and learn some historical facts as buildings were relocated from various parts across BC. Have never stayed over night in the hotel but is quite popular with tourists and visitors.

Wow! This place was amazing! We went to the Ghost Town and were blown away by their collection of collectibles (cars, trains, you name it). We thought we would just spend a couple of hours here, but it's so large, that you need the good part of a day. We couldn't believe the round house. They had some amazing old trains that you can walk through and that was what I found the most impressive.

I can't find anything negative to say about this place. If you're an old western history buff, this place is a must.

Neat place but lacking when compared to modern hotels. Would be a lot nicer if the garden was well maintained (like turning on the fountain and cleaning the standing water) and there was a nicer restaurant/bar.

Was a great location for a couple of nights to stay. There's a lot to do there and there's even an adventure outfitter on sight.

It us an older hotel but it has aged well. Of course due to its age floors can get a bit confusing as it is a very large hotel with floors that don't always match up number wise between wings.

The rooms are a touch generic for the queen rooms and it is starting to show its age.

As for the ghost town attached to the hotel it is s cheap visit when you stay and worth the price of admission. Time is starting to take its toll on the ghost town and some of the information needs to be updated. Also there are several displays that are set up that do not include information about them. This leads to a sensation of a museum in the midst of completion.

The food was good for the price and the servings were generous. The view from the restaurant and patio we're exceptional.

There is also a lot of activities nearby as well to pique the interest and the garden is great both night and day.

The pool is titanic themed and basic with a pool and hot tub.

Yes it's old and a bit rundown but it's very quaint and beautiful and in a nice location. I was not impressed upon arrival but ended up having a good time there and enjoying their multiple things to do on site.

An OK place for a nights rest, but get ready to forgo any means of communication or productivity for a business trip. Wi-Fi simply did not work, and there is no cellular signal in this area. I was given the excuse that the broadband 'runs out' because it's a satellite connection, but this struck me as odd as they have cable TV (terrible little TV's, by the way). Also, there is no climate control in the rooms (only a fan, which was merciful), and as my room was quite hot, I had to leave the screen door open and listen to my nieghbours while trying to sleep. Paper-thin walls as well. All finishes and furniture are tired-looking and dated. Really this is just an expensive motel in every sense, except that it cleverly looks like a mountain chateau, and has a gorgeous setting. Staff was friendly and accomodating, and the restaurant serves a good breakfast. Take the helicopter glacier tour if you think it's worth 50 dollars per six minutes. Overall this place would be bearable if the Wi-Fi worked (and was in each room, NOT just the lobby), wasn't so busy, and was 40 dollars less per night.

This review is going to be a two part review as this is more of a heads up for future guests.
Part 1...I booked this trip for my mother in law, my wife and two girls. When booking I phoned in to make the reservation and pay for it with my credit card. This was my gift to my family. When making the reservation, the front desk was more then helpful in taking all my credit card info and from what I thought, understood that this was going to be a gift and paid for by myself, with my credit card. I can order something on the other side of the world with my card and not have to be there in person. Three Valley Gap...apparently not. Even though if I didn't show up for my reservation my card would have been charged. My wife had to use her debit card of which left her with no money for the rest of her trip, and put her into her overdraught which cost her a 25$ penalty.
part 2... My family did have a great time at the hotel from start to almost finished. They enjoyed complimentary tickets into the ghost town, they had great views from the room, and made good use of their pool. All of which was taken away from them on check out.
We are going into 2020, there must be a way for your company to either change their rules, or at least have a look at them and make some adjustments.

The view and the grounds of this hotel are incredible and there are lots of fun activities to do with kids of all ages from kayaking, to paddle boards, to ping-pong, checkers, pool table, and swimming-they really have it all!
As other reviews state, this hotel is in dire need of an update and some freshening up. The linens should be white and crispy instead of brown bed in a bag type linens and the rooms could use some new carpet and better lighting. Other than that, the staff were very friendly and informative :)

I have not stayed here. I did stop and enjoy the beauty of this area. The gift shop and restaurant are very dated. Friendly service. Kayaking and canoes are on a honor system. Put your money in the box sign the book grab a lifejacket and paddle. $15/half hour. The views are worth the stop. Area itself stuck in the 80s/90s. I still would recommend stopping.
