This is definitely a place that I recommend going to if you want to volunteer to help out in the aid of packaging and boxing for food for families and needy children. This is a very well put together place and the staff was very nice and very helpful with information on what they do to provide for the community
I definitely recommend people going here in doing some good work for the community if you're interested they do a lot for our community...

My company, Alternative Peer Group, partners with Three Square to get our kids food. Everyone there has always been super helpful, but mostly I want to appreciate our driver David. David goes above and beyond to be selfless and help us in more ways then just delivering the food. He has become a friend to us here, and I will be sad to have another driver next year. Thank you Three Square and David for all that you do for the community

My Coworkers and I volunteered here today. We helped put together lunches for school children at various schools in the area.

This was beyond a positive experience and we will certainly be looking for other opportunities to come back and volunteer again.

What this facility does is truly magical. From the various organizations donations to the volunteers that fill its walls its inspirational. I recently volunteered with a group of friends from work and needlessly say we had a blast. We were tasked to pack lunches for children and seniors in the kitchen. As I manned the veggie area of our assembly line I was surrounded by other volunteers sharing their time. I had the pleasure of befriending these amazing people and learning about what Three Square and its volunteers do for the Las Vegas valley each day. If you haven t spent time here then you need to schedule a time block and head on down. I suggest you schedule for the afternoon volunteer opportunity. This way you ll be able to see the final product and quality of what was completed.

It's a one Stop Shop. We have a call center that will help you with applying for government snap programs. We feed people all over the city like libraries, local schools, after school programs, mobile stops, weekend meals to hold children over until Monday that can fit in their back packs and much more.b

My wife and I had the privilege of touring the Three Square food bank on April 25, 2014. I must say "impressive" only comes close to describing the experience. This is a very large facility (think multiple Sam's clubs put together). My wife and I learned that they do a lot of good within their community. The statistics on meals served and food collected were inspirational. Just when we thought the tour might be finishing up there was a new community service or portion of the facility to review. My wife and I were struck not only by the genuine caring of the employees at the facility but also by the effectiveness of the operation. Having managed businesses and large events in the past I am very impressed with well run facilities and logistics. Three Square appears to excel in both of those categories. Our compliments to Three Square Food Bank and their staff for exceeding my wife and I's very high expectations of what makes up a great nonprofit.

Had a food drive at work and dropped off over 500 lbs. of goods. Took a tour of the faculty and it was awesome, looks like they do so much for the community. Great organization. Ryan Widdis was a super nice person and answered all our questions and also gave us some insight on future ideas we may use. Thank you all at 3 Square.

I volunteered here a few months back, I worked in the kitchen packing lunches they send to the after school programs to feed the kids, that last meal makes a difference for a lot of children that might come from true low income households. I have one very important suggestion to actually clean and disinfect the surfaces which are used to pack the meals. After the first set of volunteers finished around noon, the counters were just wiped down with a not so clean white towel. Hopefully next time I volunteer I can update my review

I went to 3 Square with my church. It was really fun and we volunteered to help pack lunch bags for kid in need. We had a large group and we were able to finish in like 2 and a half hours. The time went fast and we loved helping out the needy kids and seniors in our community. Such a great organization.

Horrible place. Don't waste your time! A place the upper crust go to feel good about volunteering. If u are in need of food, they will turn you away!!!!!
Volunteered, for over 3 months, so I know how much food is there. They get major contributions from many corporations, and many organizations. I witness Chum Lee from the television show 'Pawn Stars' volunteering and cooking that day. All the executive types, where all around grinning, soaking it in. There were no regular types allowed to interaction with him. Even tho the staff eats free, they will not offer you food. I find them to be heartless individuals! I use to also work with adults with disabilities, have a college degree but hit hard times after a two year lay off. So I also accompanied these clients to volunteer. To see the abundance of food and to be told when you're down, "We don't give out food! Well do all the people who donate to you know this. My mom use to go to a local church when we were children, and they would give her a CARE Package, they called it. This place only give to agency's not people! Starving to death, I call and I simply ask, is it any way they can make me a little box of food. The lady says I have to go to a local agency. I tell her I'm w/o transportation, 11 miles from there agency, across from Nellis Air force base, which is literally only mile from them. She says, well we can't do anything, maybe get you a " peanut butter sandwich ". I had to use exact quote because the disrespectful attitude was too much for me. I was floored! All that abundance of food and I'm demoted to a peanut butter sandwich. I find their, agency goals unrealistic. You want to help the poor but not get next to them. Last week I was able to walk to a Church about 8 miles away, but it almost killed me. I was so hurt on way back, brought tears to my eyes. Food is the greatest gift you can offer a broken soul. I'm 53, yet I kept walking for my livelihood. Just call it like it is. If you can't touch the individuals, who are the poor, why are you around. There listings are also not updated, that Church almost turned me down after that long walk, because they said the hours 3 square had listed were wrong. I guess they felt pity on a broken spirit, because, they did make me a small CARE Package. My mother would be happy to know, some places still have compassion for human being. So be aware, don't go to their doors, they won't help you, unless you jump through there hops. Thank God, for the compassionate ones, not agencies in it for donations and tax breaks. Most agencies like Catholic charities are the same. They only deal with continuously homeless population, if you don't have a case already, they just think you are visiting being hungry. Lesson learned, don't just blindly volunteer, ask how the food is distributed! If you were in need, could YOU get help? Before you sit and pat yourself on the back about a rewarding volunteer experience!

Our company schedules 2 to 3 group serve days at Three Squares a year and this is my third year doing it. The people at Three Square are awesome, they need volunteers to help with all the packaging and distribution of the food they deliver throughout Las Vegas, everybody should spend one day serving there... A totally awesome experience. Go online to sign up, and you can bring your kids too.
