Oh my! Awesome experience and great, thoughtful, and helpful staff.
We have been treated with the best attitudes every one happy and glad to see you
The views from the cabins are amazing. This is the 4th time I have stayed here, and I would definitely recommend it. The cabins can be a bit cramped, but they have nice kitchens and large windows. All of the staff are very friendly. I would also recommend the rafting trips, which are all very fun.
Excellent place to stay for riding Dr. Park and other nearby trails.
We had a blast rafting and felt extremely safe and in great hands with Vito!
It is very accomadating, in a great location. Cabins are clean, of many varieties, much better than one could expect.
We've been coming here for years. A great place to visit and stay.
Nice place with outdoor seating. I had a Reuben and fries! AWESOME!
The cabins are cute, and well stocked for relaxed camping. The general store had a decent selection of goods and my friend in the single room above the store loved his kitchen and air condotioner. Despite the occasional haughtiness of a resort employee, and the location's somewhat cantankerous position towards burning medicines, I would return again!
They should have longer than 6 month leases for winter
Great location and great fishing on the Taylor River
We only went to rent some fishing rods and bait, etc. The guy was super friendly and helped us get our fishing licences, and then sold us some rods for the same price as renting them! Overall great experience.
Whitewater kayaking was a great experience. Fun, knowledgeable staff. Good addition to your trip.
A lil slice of heaven in the Rockies. This place has it all , rafting fishing, great food cold beer. Cabins on the river, the staff is outstanding and service is at the top of the list. Conveniently located and a short drive to Crested Butte, Taylor reservoir, Gunnison. Biking, sling, hiking a outdoor paridise.
Rafted from them, ate, fly fishing lesson all great. Really nice folks. Very helpful and friendly. Shopping options were a plus too. Will come back place has alot to offer.
We had the best time! We are definitely going back!
My husband and I used Will Coates of Willowfly Anglers as a fishing guide for a full day fly fishing trip during our stay at Three Rivers Resort. He was awesome. He was patient, very knowledgeable about fly fishing and an overall nice guy. We fished in multiple locations on the Spring River and caught a rainbow trout and brown trout. It was a full day of fishing with a great lunch, beautiful vistas and great company. I highly recommend him as a guide and this fishing service at Three Rivers Resort.
We stayed two times this year and every time we loved it...clean, well stocked, peacefull, my kids enjoyed it. We will be back next summer..whitewater rafting was amazing down the taylor river our guide( Dirk ).. Did a good job..thanks for keeping us safe...
We've been rafting with 3 Rivers Rsort for over 20 years. We have only had positive experiences, increduble journeys and expert guides in the rafts. This is a high quality organization with excellent management and a very skilled staff. The raft trips are phenomenal. We'll be back again next year.
We stayed in a wondeful cabin with a hot tub. The staff were courteous and made sure we had everything we needed. Will definitely be coming back here!
The hospitality here was the shining star. The food was good, the wait staff was fun, and enjoyable. They even hooked is up with some coffee when we forgot ours. We started in cabin 4 which was a short walk to the river. The beds were comfy, the bathroom was proportionatly huge with Tom for two people. The shower was a rare find, tall enough for me and my dad at 6'3" each. While the kitchen was a little cramped i really can't complain as everything else was well worth price. I will definitely be coming back.
Fantastic spot! Well laid out, handy off the road and a real gem. We had a cabin, #58, on the river and listening to the river every evening was very calming and soothing. Location to Crested Butte and Black Canyon of the Gunnison is great as well. If you stay here, do yourself a favor and take a 40 minute drive up to Taylor Reservoir. Very beautiful up there with a great country breakfast and lunch cafe in the summer season. Only drawback (s) is the master bedroom in our cabin was pretty small but doable and the shower is short if you're tall, I'm 6'4" but it worked. Smokehouse restaurant on site does a dandy job. This is a nice quiet location, and we will certainly be going back to cabin #58. Loved it...
This place is so much fun! So much to do and see from dawn to late night.
Liked the place very much . Enjoyed my stay although I didn't get to spend a whole lot of time in the cabins .The staff is excellent and very friendly All their recommendations from sight seeing to food was excellent. There are several good vegetarian options at the smokehouse. Next time I will stay in a bigger cabin .It was smaller than what we expected.
Fun and exciting course. Our guide was Tyler. He was knowledgeable and kind. We were picked up at our hotel and driven to the 3 rivers office. Everything went smoothly. Very nice staff.
My family has made so many unforgettable memories here. I love this place, everyone is so kind. You have access to so many fun outdoor activities when staying here, you can go fishing, go out on ATVs, or just relax and enjoy the amazing views around here. They also offer white water rafting and all the guides I've had were super fun and I've had a blast each time.Three Rivers has been part of so many happy family memories, and it has become one of my favorite places, and I plan on continuing my family trips there for a long time.
Loved it. We had a cabin with hot tub near the river. We will be back.
Great staff and facilities, the river guides are the best!
Ate at the smokehouse, food was great, large portions of meats that are tender and delicious, giant desserts, pick anything you can't go wrong!
Apartment nickel, clean and very pretty, can be a bit small (be careful with the head in places).
River at the foot of the magnificent apartment (watch out for children)
Small flat: a park for toddlers, we quickly made the tour. However, there is a basketball court
We travel to Pitkin Colorado every summer and this was the first time we've done white water rafting at this location. Since we had a 7-year-old in our group we did the Lower Taylor tour. We requested to have paddles as generally this particular tour has the guide doing the majority of the work. It was so much fun. Our tour guide was hilarious and enjoyable. He knew we wanted the higher rapids so he was able to adjust our raft accordingly. We will definitely be doing this every summer. The staff was amazing. They have a photographer that stops at certain points along the river to take photos and I was extremely impressed with the quality. I was hesitant about taking my phone but they do have a wet bag for you to put it in before you start.
Went on a white water rafting with Adam as our guide and had a great time!
Fantastic! We stayed in the 15 person lodge right on the river. The cabin was clean and organized when we arrived. It has a hot tub, a Weber gas grill (super clean) and a fully stocked kitchen. The staff is super courteous and helpful. Nothing but good things to say.
Please note, this review is based solely on the *restaurant* and solely on the service received. Was not able to order food, as the staff was unwilling to accommodate a Service Animal.
Upon arriving, I was immediately asked if I would be staying for food. After responding yes I was told that Service Animals are required to be at a part of the patio removed from the main section. When I affirmed the dog is an official Service Animal, and not an ESA or similar, I was told again that I was not allowed to be seated at the main patio. Accustomed to dealing with this ignorance in staff, I shared that ADA law requires publicly accessible establishments to provide equal access. Bob stared at me, turned with menu in-hand, and walked away (with the menu), never returning, or acknowledging my presence at the restaurant again. Highly disappointed in such poor behavior, and outright discrimination as he continued to walk past me to serve other customers.
For fuller context, the Service Animal laid under the table while I was seated, and was behaving appropriately from entry to exit. Additionally, it was 4:30pm on Sunday, and not incredibly busy.
Won't be back. Not at all like it used to be. RV spots feel like a mobile home park. No fire ring for campfires, spots packed on, not many trees.
Great fun on the rafting trip, good food at the resort. Staff was very friendly and our raft guide Joelle was a rock star!
We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Our cabin on the river was just right. Sitting on the porch listening to the water was relaxing. Most all of the staff were professional and cordial. One exception would be the grumpy man who came to service our spa. He was wanting to place blame for the spa being low so he would not have to fill it. We really enjoyed our raft ride.
The cabins were very clean and had everything you could need in them. The staff were all very helpful and answered our questions on the area we had since this was our first visit and did not know the area well. We went to the area to ride our ATV and could do that right behind our cabin. Was great. If we come back to the area would definitely stay here again.
Love staying at Three Rivers! Beautiful modern cabins!
Stayed for five nights in a cabin on the Taylor River and did a full day float trip with Willowfly Anglers and guide Evan Hammans. The cabin was extremely clean, had nice amenities, and the location couldn t be beat. The fly fishing float with Evan was great! I learned a ton from Evan and we caught a lot of beautiful fish. It was a great day on the water and I highly recommend Evan!
The young lady behind the counter was very helpful with the information that I needed to take the rafting trip..
Had lunch at 3 Rivers. Barbeque chicken, hand cut fries, baked beans. Social distance, and mask. Food was good and waitress helpful.
Kylie was a great guide would recommend Three Rivers
This was a nice place, nice facilities, nice people, a bit pricey but still nice. The people are super nice, or river guide, Mike, was really knowledgeable surrounding area I'm very polite. Just for clarification Three Rivers Resort is all Almont. Are there restaurants pretty good too.
I took my kids as part of their birthday presents. They loved it! The older two got to go rafting and we were all able to go horseback riding. Thank you for a great experience!
Liked seeing the wildlife....fishing very good ,perfect cabin along river, very comfortable!
This was a great trip! Our guide, Olivia, was amazing. She made me feel very safe! We never got stuck and didn t lose anyone. So much fun!!! The kids loved it. If you don t like being cold make sure you get the splash suits, top and bottom. Some of us only got tops and they were very cold! I got both and did great.
I haven't visited here as a guest during the busy season so I can't say anything relating to that, but I rented a cabin for the off-season, in the winter. The staff are awesome: they make me feel welcome and at home. The place is well-maintained, and OMG IT'S JUST BEAUTIFUL There are clean coin laundries on-site which aren't over-priced, and trash receptacles convenient to the cabins, so you don't have to tote your garbage too far. The kitchen in my cabin is well-equipped with newer, clean, appliances. The kitchen sink is plastic/fiberglass/something, so one must be careful not to put hot cooking pans in it - not a drawback, just something to keep in mind. The countertops are Corian as well as he windowsills. There's even a little electric fireplace. The heat is all electric which may get a bit expensive, but I am totally okay with it, because that's the only bill besides rent. You can choose to have internet installed for a one-time fee which is totally reasonable. The free bus through the valley is a short, beautiful walk away, less than 5 minutes. The most awesome thing I can say is that the winter rentals are very affordable. Finding a place to live in this valley sans roommates is really difficult when one has a strict budget. I am so grateful that they do this. I get to live right on the river in an adorable cabin all winter. It's really a dream come true for me and I am glad Three Rivers made it possible. My experience has been very good and I would recommend this place to anybody whether for a short-term visit or a long-term off-season rental. So peaceful!
The lodges are spacious and clean! Very great location for fishing.
Had an awesome experience on our white water rafting adventure. Our guide, Fish, was amazing!
Nice place with lots of cabins to stay in. Helpful staff.
Great place to share time with family in a safe and comfortable setting, all the while being surrounded by the beautiful mountains and clear running rivers of Colorado. Staff is excellent and the fly shop is very informative and friendly. I had a blast and will make it back there some day!
Fantastic family day trip! My son & husband did the Upper Taylor River trip and had a fantastic time with guide Matt. My 11 year old can't wait to go back next year.
Definitely get at least the water gear jackets. Gear is complimentary. I also strongly recommend helmets. Photo taken by and purchased from Three Rivers Outfitters.
My mother, 7yr old son and I visited 3 Rivers in June of 2017. We absolutely loved it. Perfect location. Very easy commute to Crested Butte or Gunnison. Great price, great food, great people. We will definitely be returning soon.
Top notch staff, equipment and outfitter! Knowledgeable guides who were quite entertaining and personable! Super patience with kids and first time float fishers. Hands down one of our favorite excursions!
The resort is a great fishing area the tailor and the Green River combine and form the Gunnison River all right here. If you like to fish this is where it's at and not too far from Crested Butte which is a neat mountain town and big ski area. I totally recommend.
The location and the amenities get it 4 stars. Overall we were very pleased with our stay. We stayed in in the mayfly cabin. It felt like a home away from home. It was clean and relatively kept up pretty good. Although, Our cabin could have used a new bed. By far the nicest and affordable cabin "lodging" I've stayed in. I'd recommend to a friend and definitely will go back.
This place is fantastic. I recommend Holden Rexius if you want a great fly fishing experience.
We did the upper extender with Christian. Had a great day, lot of fun! Christian was great, all the guides seemed fun. Highly recommend
I went for the rafting. It was a blast. Completely. The guides completed the great experience. Great quality trip.
Went river rafting on the lower Taylor river. Ruth was our guide and was AWESOME. I recommend requesting her for your trip. Awesome outing I would recommend to all ages.
Not only was the staff friendly and helpful but went beyond to help me when I had a flat. Thank you and I'll be back.
One of the best resort by the Taylor river near Crested Butte and it is a must visit when in Colorado. The accommodation is cabin style which are very comfy and have got all the required stuff to cook and eat. They also have in house heating as well. The staff is really helpful and you can book all the activities at the concierge desk.
The accomodation was very nice. Spacious cabin will plenty of amenities. Right next to the hot tub which was nice. The wifi/internet was very poor, however.
Not a whole lot as far as amenities, but cozy cabins with great fishing in the area.
