So happy I found Thoughtful Paws! My dog has never been this relaxed after going to the groomers, she looks adorable and the price was amazing, thank you!!!
I could not image how hard it is to have to ask your clients to please comply with very clearly stated Covid safety guidelines. Thank you for your bravery in your efforts to help protect us all from a deadly virus and the risk of another lock down
Always a awesome experience. I would not take my dog any where else.
Amazing experience. Have been bringing my little dog here for regular grooming for six years.
Personalized experience, excellent customer service.
I truly believe this place is writing fake reviews for their company to keep their business open. They are not friendly at all like other reviews have stated. I had booked an appointment to get my dogs glands drained and his nails done. (I've been going to them for 3 years) on their automated voicemail they said to make sure you are on time or they will charge you for your next visit due to covid. All fine I decided to make my appointment and be there right on time. Now I didn't bring my mask because the last time I went there a few weeks back (still during covid) I went in without one and they were all okay with it. Now it's not the fact that I didn't wear the mask that bothered me. It was how I was treated upon arriving. I totally forgot my mask usually I wear it everywhere but this day I had alot going on and it slipped my mind. Now if she would have politely said along the lines of "hey I really want to be able to let you in but I can't because you don't have a mask I'm so sorry just bring one next time we can book you another appointment" but no I knocked on the door and she sticks her head out the window and without a nice greeting and not even a hello she snaps at me and her voice was literally so ignorant. Her response "um do you have a mask" (basically getting petty and loud with me) I replied "no I'm sorry I honestly didn't know" she replies in her stuck up arrogant voice "well you can't come in its all over my websites and everywhere" I reply "are you able to pick him up at the door" she replies "um no I would have to be near you to do that" now mind you this is all in a belittling rude voice tone. I then said "okay I wish you would have told me this on the reminder message you left yesterday" she goes "um I did leave that on the message" (which I listened to this message 3 times and she never once stated that and I never seen it anywhere online because again I went a few weeks prior and they all were not wearing anything) I replied "um yes I actually have the message" she replies "you might want to listen again" I might want to listen again? Way uncalled for and not a professional environment. I replied to her that the way she speaks to people is so wrong and petty. She just wanted the last say and she seems miserable. Won't be returning. And lastly I understood that it's a pandemic and masks are important that wasn't why I'm writing this review. I'm writing this because the way she spoke to me in a very rude tone and body language was extremely mind blowing to me. Not professional at all and if this is how they talk to a human I would hate to see the way they talk to my poor dog behind my back or any animal in their care. And they will probably reply and act all apologetic or defend themselves but there is nothing to defend they were at fault for this rude attitude and nobody deserves to be talked to the way she talked to me. I am a very kind hearted person and barely ever give anybody a bad review. Insanity.
I have been taking my little dog to Scott and Angela ever since we moved to the Comox Valley seven and a half years ago. They have consistently been caring, pleasant, always on time, and make my little fur child look beautiful. In fact, I have had people stop and ask me where my dog was groomed. We always have several appointments booked ahead and I would not even consider going anywhere else. Thank you, Scott and Angela, for being so good to us and for putting in the additional safety precautions so that I feel comfortable coming. Fun as it was taking the scissors to my shih tzu s long fur while you were closed, we are SO happy that you are able to see us again
From setting up the appointment to picking up my dog thoughtful paws has been nothing but professional and friendly. My dog clearly loved it as during our walks today she kept trying to pull me back. Plus they dressed her up in a nice handkerchief and she refuses to take it off. Great value, great customer service, and terrific job grooming my dog
This place used to be great - friendly and service oriented. Now, I feel their response to Covid is exaggerated and that impacts this business. There is plenty of protection inside the door but there is the unreasonable demand to stay outside. You are absolutely unwelcome if you forget a mask. Well, Costco for example, provides a disposable one to their valued customers. I was allegedly reminded on the phone message - untrue. Listened to it twice. Scott, to his credit, was solution oriented and resolved the matter. Angela could do well to revisit her customer service philosophy. Having said that, our dogs looked great, as always.
I'd give this place more stars if I could! My dog absolutely HATES getting his nails cut. He literally turns into a demon.. the vet is too scared to cut his nails, and suggests I sedate him to get them trimmed. At home I've tried everything to do it myself, but it's still not possible.. Then I bring him to Thoughtful Paws and he's so calm, and doesn't get aggressive or reactive at all. They really know what they're doing!! They're super kind people, and I think my dog picks up on their energy. I really can't recommend them enough!!
Simply the best! My pup loves going here and always comes out looking fantastic. 100% recommended.
