After being with our advisor for many years, we made the move to Thompson Wright in Leek. In all honesty we should have made the jump sooner. In our first year alone we received advice on better, more efficient ways of record keeping; expenses that we hadn't claimed previously; pre year end tax planning and our tax liabilities were clearly explained to us fully rather than simply an 'amount to pay' on the page. Rachel and the team are always on the end of the phone when we need them. All in all, we are very happy with the service to date and would recommend TW to anyone.

In this time, Jess, Rachel and their team have helped enormously on a day to day basis with several changes within our business most recently with the purchase of the building we trade from. They were invaluable in this process and along with Sarah and Stuart (Financial Advice partner) their clear, astute, level headed advice and working relationship with our Solicitors kept the whole process from collapsing several times and saved us a lot of money in the long run.

I have been a client of Thompson Wright for several years now. My business is very small in comparison to other Clients that they look after, however, you wouldn't know it. The level of customer service that I receive from them makes me feel like my company is all they care about. I have never received this level of service elsewhere. Fantastic ,professional but friendly service that keeps me on the straight and narrow. I trust TW with anything financial including financial advice from a regulated professional advisor. They are also always ahead of the curve with their IT offerings, that make business life easier. I don't have time to do most of the mundane tasks that are essential when running your own business, they take away the headache. The service is platinum standard. I was recommended to use Thompson Wright by my brother-in-law who has used them for years. I have found them to be very customer focussed, very responsive in communications even when they can't deal with my E mail queries immediately. I have also found them able to answer all the questions I have raised when discussing my accounts, and they give me total confidence. I ve conducted business with Richard Thompson for 20 years or so supplying professional staff to his firm. When the time came and I set up my own business it made sense to place the care of my financial affairs with Thompson Wright. It was one of my better decisions and although I m only a small business I have been looked after very well in the last five years.

My Client Manager, Jenni Wilson, and her team are attentive, friendly and happy to take ownership of any issues that I might raise with them. Although I have an accountancy background and could handle a lot of accounting tasks myself, I find it makes good commercial sense to concentrate my time and efforts on running my business.

I recommend the firm completely. Are they the cheapest for a small business like mine? No, but you get a lot more for those extra professional fees. You get what you pay for and in my experience that s top quality client service and peace of mind.

TW have been my accountants since 2001. They have supported me with book-keeping, accounts preparation and both personal and corporation tax advice and compliance work throughout. They have also been instrumental in carrying out a financial restructuring of the business twice, plus they dealt very effectively with a very unpleasant (and unfair) HMRC investigation.
I have found their support so complete and comforting that I never thought of switching accountants when I moved to East Yorkshire a number of years ago.
