Small rooms with decent beds. Bathroom a bit pokey too. Staff v pleasant though and the beds are comfy.
Stayed here quite few times now, so yes its a good hotel. The room is a little small but its single occupancy, bonus has a bath. Visited the gym for the first time and its not 2 bad. May be a bit crammed if busy but hey its a hotel gym. Staff always seem to be happy enough, bar seems moody but service is quick and inattentive. So to sum up for the money at its location you can go wrong.
Nice hotel .a few mix ups. Mostly sorted out. The rooms are not very big .We had a superior double ,which basically ment you could walk around the double bed.
Good restaurant service. Old hotel, uncomfortable beds, facilities that sound at all hours disturbed sleep.
Good restaurant. Old hotel, non comfortable beds, noisy installations disturbing a normal rest.
Clean and well presented room. Comfortable bed. Bathroom decoration was beginning to get tired. Inclusive buffet breakfast was very good.
Almost a very good, staff very friendly, breakfast was very sufficient, a third coffee machine would not be bad. Completely satisfied.
Without doubt one of the worst hotels I've stayed in, room service doesn't answer, they don't call back you can't turn the radiators off and you get called at odd hours from management, do yourself a favour and book with a hotel who care and employs more staff
Great hotel, even upgraded my room on arrival. Staff very helpful and great location. Room service was excellent too.
Large venue with good facilities for meetings and conferences
Very mixed, the place is OK but the room was looking a bit dated. To make matters worse though they have charged a bottle of wine to my room that was not ordered. The receptionist told me it work be sorted and I would get an email to confirm, this has not happened and is tanturmount to robbery, would suggest you do not leave the hotel until you are satisfied.
Spent two nights at the hotel. Had problems with our water. They change our rooms, upgraded us, and gave us free breakfast for two mornings. Nothing too much trouble. Friendly staff. Great breakfast, lots of choice. Only ten minute walk to old Street tube. Would recommend, and competitive price. Best to be in the main hotel check when booking.
Good Location for Downtown Attractions.
Walk to the Tube & Double Decker Bus.
Awesome Breakfast included.
Best Workout Facility. Includes Hot Tub, Stream Room and Sauna.
Suggest you leave plenty of time to get to your airport flight. Over 90 minute Uber, or 30 minute Uber and 40 pound airport train ride.
Entrance and staff very well presented and helpful room was disappointing very tired and dated such a shame
Very spacious rooms given its the centre of London with very helpful staff
I paid the gym. It was good and you have the essentials. Some cardio machines, weights... there's also a pool, sauna and vapor. The bathrooms are super clean in the mornings and in the evening are ok.
Decent bar food and breakfast for the money. It was the cheapest too.with parking, pool and gym within a couple of miles of central London. Gym is alright, pools a bit small, gets very busy.
The public space was lovely and reception pleasant, but the room was absolutely dismal. The furniture and walls were in dreadful condition, the room was small and cramped, and even with the radiator turned off I was roasting (yet it was More
Spacious rooms with complimentary mini bar. The rooms are rather tired and in need of refurbishment, especially the noisy air con. On the plus side, the rooms were very clean and breakfast was great. Staff very nice, especially Molly on reception. The one major blip was that we requested the mini bar was topped up after breakfast with cokes/water and this did not happen. Overall good experience, however it was a business booking....I wouldn't book it for a city break as it is clearly geared towards the business traveller.
Always my number one place to stay. Rooms are clean, spacious, great price. Cannot fault!
Very good hotel in two buildings the old part is a remake room and bathroom more not always very clean, very very poorly insulated cars and noise from the street and the neighbors of the rooms that sometimes are not very discreet during their spousal or not, impeccable for the cons for the new part, reception, rooms, services no complaints and buffet for breakfast very varied and well supplied.
The only problem: speak English because the staff does not speak our language at all but we are very well.
Very good hotel in two buildings the old part of the house is not so very clean, very very poorly insulated one hears the cars and street noise as well as the neighbors of the discreet during their conjugal spouses or not, impeccable by cons for the new part, welcome, rooms, services no complaints and buffet breakfast very varied and well supplied.
The only downfall is to speak good.
Greeted by friendly staff, refreshments good and comfortable conference room
Meeting venue. Comfortable, but not easy to locate the room initially - even the reception desk were a bit confused.
This hotel is getting better. Compared to the last times that I have stayed here the hotel is making small improvements. However the rooms are smaller than elsewhere and the buffet breakfast still needs some work. The restaurant is much better with some good and tasty options (though a little on the pricey side.. you can pop out and find better value within a 5min walk). Big plus for free wifi and health suite access. If here for work/conference it does the job now. The room is a place to work and sleep. The area nearby is vibrant and worth exploring... but for couples etc wanting a romantic break or luxury experience you should still be looking elsewhere for now. The place holds promise for the future so keep your eye on it.
Room was cozy and warm. We lived in the separated building , very nice. Close to subway. Great restaurants nearby.
Had to stay there for a night to save me from the pain of an early saturday morning trip to London to make it to a 9 45am digital conference at The Brewery in London. The room was quite tidy the only shocking thing in a British hotel in Mid London had no tea making facilities in the room. I was truly offended but too lazy to complain as had a long hard week. But the breakfast was spectacula!!. Good quality full English buffett breakfast that was yummy!
You really can not expect much from the rooms and the breakfast on the weekends is connected to a large queue until you get a table. And then a queue at the coffee machine and then the plates are all yours and yours.
Standard room was acceptable for an overnight stay with work. Nothing out of the ordinary. Clean and functional. Area is not the greatest.
Had a Course there and loved it! The Staff is lovely! And the premises are super clean!
Nice hotel, totally get what you pay for...
rooms are a bit dated, with needed refurbishment, but even so comfortable and very clean.
Staff was very helpfull, breakfast is recomended as it has a big range of things to choose from as wel as good quality.
Walk to tube is about 10-15 minutes depending how much you've already walked that day.
Room and bedding OK, furniture quite old and worn. In a quiet area, but a bit expensive.
Enjoyed our stay in London at this hotel. Would definitely stay there again
Only visited to see a guest, all was in order AFAIK.
Well.positioned hotel. Good food at reasonable price
Quiet clean. Really welcoming staff. Comfortable bed. Good establishment
The hotel is a bit old, but clean. The one person room is small but since you spend most of the time sleeping, it is no problem. The personnel is very friendly, the breakfast really fine. The location is good as well, only 1,5 mile from the Tower Bridge.
Room was dirty, paint peeling off the doors door jams, and walls. Cracks in multiple walls, they look like they have not been cleaned in months, bulbs blown. A total of 2 sockets in the room total, so its charge laptop and have a light on or charge laptop and have fan on (no AC), no way to charge phone or other electronics if you want to stay cool and work. Beds are on wheels with no stoppers so you can't even sit up in bed as the bed moves away from the wall and you risk falling out the back of the bed. WiFi is so slow the hotels own website wont load. I would give zero stars if I could
Hotel too far from metro. First night, woken up twice by the smoke detectors, (the second time I put it in the bathroom, 30min after approx, woken up a third time by the hotel staff who banged on the door to put the detector) it was not just in our room but in the whole hotel!
2nd night, slept very well, probably due to the 16kms on foot during the day.
Sound insulation is non-existent.
Ordered a burger, this one was very simple (bread, steak, salad and tomato) and very expensive, almost 16 pounds!
Regarding breakfast there is a good choice. For the rest I did not take advantage of it (swimming pool, gym ...)
Despite these inconveniences, had a pleasant stay in London.
Decent hotel 4 star breakfast, good nights sleep. Old Street Tube 10mins walk.
Great hotel with great customer service, staff made the stay a great one, would recommend.
it's a lovely hotel but the bedrooms need to be refurbished as the windows where broken and there was no heating and that bathroom was dirty otherwise everything else was fantastic especially the beds
