It is an awesome resort for families to stay in old bagan. Very friendly staff, very friendly environment, breakfast is great with widespread options (including vegetarian), location is good for visiting the pagodas in Bagan. Beat part is sunset from this resort is just amazing. Very quiet and peaceful. Open space for kids to run around. Rooms are huge 58 square meter for deluxe room was just too big. Overall a pleasant experience! Will definitely recommend this place.

Great hotel by the river. Beautiful well-groomed area consisting of a bungalow to stay. Polite staff. Good breakfast. There is a pool. Successful solution-tables near the pool are equipped with sockets. Please note that the menu and services at the hotel are in dollars.

Bagan Thiripyitsaya Sanctuary Resort- beautiful hotel with the early morning birds singing, fresh air and virgin nature near the Lake. It's located in the Old Bagan and you can get their on a horse-drawn carriage. Also I had one of the most pleasant SPA experiences in this hotel.

Here you can see the Irrawaddy more. Very suitable for the whole family to travel.

Beautiful grounds but only if you get the bungalow rooms. The adjoining suites called the Sakura Inn which the hotel considers part of the hotel is dismal and a throwback into the 60's. A total night and day for the same rates. Beware.

Excellent location, good breakfast and better coffee.

It was comfortable. The New Year's Eve event and dance were also good.

It was a very nice place!
We received a very meticulous response from the front desk, whether the Japanese may be the owner.
The room was not big, but it was a wooden floor and it was very nice.
There was also a feeling of cleanliness.
Also, the facilities are very good and the pool overlooks the river and the view is very good.
As E-BIKE can also be borrowed here, it is good to drive here and go variously.
As it becomes middle of New Bagan and Old Bagan, I think whether it is easy to make a plan for sightseeing and meals, and it is easy to move.
So far, it is recommended accommodation in Bagan!

Nice hotel in a good location in old Bagan. They offer a lot of services. One downside would be how expensive the food & services are at the hotel relative to local prices.

Main hotel building and some rooms have nice river views. Rooms are comfortable but the bathroom is small. Most staff is friendly and helpfull. However the restaurant is ridiculously expensive.

Nice hotel to stay at in Bagan. Friendly staff and good breakfast buffet in the morning. Clean rooms with cold air conditioning.

Hotel environment by the river is superb with attentive and friendly staff. Easy access to recommended pagodas on e bike rentals.

We were there with 12 local friends.
Hotel, pool, rooms and all facilities are really good. Stuff are always helpful and friendly.
But breakfast and pizza needs improvements.
Breakfast has limited varieties for international customer.
Pizza dough looks like keep in freeze.
Hotel 5 stars for me.

Excellent structure for those who visit Burma and also want to relax!

Excellent resort with beautiful views and service. But need to change from one-way to two-way air conditioner. It's very cold at night. I can't sleep well.

If you need a car for your bagan sightseeing, don't hire a receptions. They call a taxi and get a commission. You will pay more charge.

You can see the kindness of the staff and the beautiful sunset.

An A+ location for the sunset.
Beware though, prices are high...

Poor food and very expensive, you can get some gorgeous dishes for a quater of the price in many of the local restaurants. The accommodation is quite shabby and in need of a makeover, definitely overpriced.

The location was very good, close to the main attractions of Old Bagan. It was quiet and relaxing both day and night. The staff is also kind.

We stayed in this resort just one night and felt very happy . We can see the river view from our room and the room is little small but nice had bathtubs and place for relax . It felt like staying in a garden .

There is a different price for locals and foreigners . It is expensive place , the sovenier price is very very high .

Good. Nice staff, room, food and location. However on the expensive end of the spectrum. You can do just as well for a lower price nearby.

Very good location, several pagodas can be reached on foot.
We had anyway the impression not to be quite visible as individual guests: during our stay, we were completely ignored. On the contrary, a group staying during the same period, enjoyed full attentions.
The food in the restaurant was not so spectacular, the choice of the menu was very restricted and quite expensive. Our "atmosphere" was continuosly disturbed from the staff, moving around 100 (?) chairs from one room to the other.
Our bungalow was ok. Considering that the hotel was not fully booked, we expected a room with a better view (river or pagodas).

The swimming pool and the private bungalows are a dream. But the catering service and pool supervision are not up to par:
On the second evening, the hotel privatized the terrace and dining room to accommodate 2 buses of Chinese tourists (it would have been the same for any nationality) not hotel guests with music. Hence noise and the need to use room service, with additional billing. This is not eligible for a 5 star.

Very nice hotel with beautiful view on Irrawaddy river. Food good too. Price are significant but Pagan and all Myanmar are an expensive location

Pretty expensive by Bagan standards, but beautiful resort with great service. Many pagodas are within walking distance and you can access the entire area with available rental ebikes. The gorgeous pool deck is on the river and a favorite spot to catch sunsets.

MAGNIFICENT hotel! I highly recommend this place, incomparable value for money (especially out of season)
Room just what you need (air conditioning and ceiling fan)
With small bathroom and everything you need for the toilet!
(Even laundry !!!)
However, avoid the shop that will try to sell you flip-flops for $ 10 when they are sold for $ 1 in the ti Shop around!
I insist on booking out of season, you will have the impression of having privatized the hotel which is not negligible

This resort has lovely gardens, on Irrawaddy river... particularly nice at sunset!

Friendliest service, very close to temple area, ideal sundowner and pool location with ayarwaddy view, beautiful small pagodas vis a vis reception. For dinner short distance to new baghan / restaurant bibo. Breakfast, dinner, rooms okay.

- The good: nice view, polite staff, nice breakfast .

- The bad: every price in US Dollars, everything overprice like food, drinks, laundry, taxi and bike ( from the hotel)

Nice hotel. It used to be the Government guesthouse. Well located in the old Bagan area with a number of temples within 15 minutes walking distance.

The dinner place is facing the Irrawaddy river and it is a good spot for looking at sunset.

Great location since it's central to both Old and New Bagan. Easy access to many of the pagodas, and local restaurants
