fun stuff was out of order, record selection seemed a bit thin based on labels. I have heard so many great things about the nashville location, so why does the detroit location feel so touristy. Wife and I were excited, but we could not find music we wanted on vinyl and the prices for the other things seemed a bit theme park gift shop.

Just as amazing as the store in Nashville! I was here in April for a Jack White show so I HAD to stop by! The shop is super clean and amazing. I didn't have enough time for a tour of the record pressing plant. That just means I need to make another trip out there :) Staff are always friendly and will help you with any questions or concerns you have. Thank you for all that you do!

A beautiful building and store. Even if you're not a fan of Jack White or his other bands this is definitely worth the visit. It's fun exploring every inch of the store. Discovering all the history, music, and interesting pieces that has been used to decorate. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I loved seeing the records manufacturing area. The run tours of the plant on Saturdays.

Cool place, but in store for 20 minutes and was not even approached or acknowledged by staff. Maybe that's part of the "we are a cool store" vibe, but I still believe in customer service. Despite this, a one of a kind place that's worth a visit.

Very cool record store. So much history. Lots of cool vinyl and accessories for sale. We have yet to run into Jack, as many people claim he frequents this location. Staff was inviting and friendly.

This is a remarkable establishment. Jack has brought something to Detroit that no one else could. We are lucky that we have one of two locations. The staff is amazing and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The atmosphere is is the feeling of being at home with the music. Couldn't have made it even better if he tried. Can't wait to see what's in store with the pressing plant.

Beautiful space with loads of quality vinyl. The area in the back is a must see...functioning vinyl press shop ! Also check out the make-your-own-vinyl-record-booth! ($20) Beautiful layout. Interesting selection of merchandise and vinyl to purchase. Right next door to Jolly Pumpkin and Shiniola.

This place is fantastic! It's so color coordinated and cool when you first walk in. They have a little booth that you can record your own music. They make their own records there. There's a factory in the back that you can have tours on how they make the records, or you can just watch them through the glass. The bathrooms were even amazing, color coordinated and clean.

A really cool place to check out in Detroit. Neat area in the back of the retail area that has big windows looking into the vinyl records pressing room. Store prices are average. You can buy anything from a couple hundred dollars bomber jacket to a $1 Third Man Records button. A $6 bandana was a bargain for my sister! A note: This is NOT the Cass Corridor some of us hard core late 70's early 80's kids remember.

Good to see someone still committed to pressing records in Detroit, great views in to the workshop at the back of the store. Small selection of records, but nice represses of some Motown. Great merch section, with super friendll staff

This place is so cool. Lots of Third Man label records, a Make-Your-Own-Record booth, and windows to look out into the record pressing plant. If you haven't been, you absolutely need to stop in

Very neat place! Very friendly staff and very fair prices on the vinyl! There is a window that let's you look into the record producing facility, there's a stage, a listening booth and a place you can get your own 45 made for $20. We will definitely be back!

This is a really cool place. I'm definitely looking forward to visiting again. Some of the machines (house band jukebox, recording booth, etc) weren't operational at the time. But I do hope they'll be up and running again soon. Still, a really neat place.

We have loved this place from the time we first visited! What an amazing investment into our great home city! The variety of music available is such a wide range. We have found albums from old favorites and discovered new awesome gems! The staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful. My sister is from the East Coast and, as a fan of all things Jack White and a huge music buff in general, was in absolute glory here when she last visited. Definitely worth the trip for her and we love that it's so close for us! At our last visit, we got a squeaky Third Man Records dog toy for our little guy!

I wanted to come here after doing research on it for a paper. I planned the trip months in advance, and finally went. This place is amazing. You walk in, and you feel this sort of vintage vibe, the color scheme is yellow and black, there's racks with shirts and hoodies on them, a big display of vinyl records, and a stage towards the back. If you walk back further, you can walk down a short hall and see the record pressing plant through a window. Back in the main area, there is an old-timey booth to record your own 45. This is considered to be the highlight of the place. If you want more information, I highly suggest the video Adam Savage did about this place.

Cool record shop owned by jack white of the white stripes / raconteurs / dead weather. They only sell records on their label though ( for the most part)... they press the vinyl in the adjacent factory. You can watch them work or catch a tour of you are lucky. But Book I advance. They sell out quick! Lots of cool merch and memorabilia hanging up. You can record your own record and have it pressed to vinyl on the spot. But the machine always seems to be out of order. Cool stop overall. But thenNashville store is cooler IMO.

A Gem in midtown. You should really check this out for yourself and definitely bring friends or family from out of town. A real vinyl record press (full on factory) in the back, you can watch thru glass. They have live performances here on occasion. Cool merchandise to purchase including records that were pressed here. Great gift ideas or buy something cool for yourself.
