Small but charming, just opposite the castle, two large car parks just outside, and various restaurants just up the road.

The Theatre Royal is a small local theatre which shows local and National theatre productions. Every seat has a good view and the prices are not exorbitant.
Fantastic theatre, wonderful helpful staff. Great plays and also tours.
I totally enjoyed. Nice clean theatre, with comfortable seats. Had a very good view of the entertainment (Motown).
A magical place, high-level performances, more immersive than any movie.
An amazing evening to watch The Queen of the Night show. This show was worthy of a West End production at a very reasonable price.
Another year & another Panto
Just Brilliant
Good theatre that has s variety of different shows, however being Windsor did mean expensive parking if driving.
Lovely little theatre never been before but will go again
Need to sort out their heating. So cold it effected our enjoyment of the show
The annual theatre at Windsor, what can I say other that 'Brilliant'
Very nice theatre, but food pricey and funny seats in some places. Great during panto season!
Lovely bar service and coffee area. Knowledgeable and friendly staff.
My husband, son and I went to see the exorcist tonight and it was absolutely brilliant!! The cast and acting were amazing well done all of you pure brilliance!!,
We had a great time watching 'what's in a name?' on Saturday afternoon. Very funny. Was easy to order drinks for the interval as well. We were visiting for the weekend, so not local, but will keep a look out for whats on for a future visit
First time I visited the Windsor royal theatre to see the live show adaptation of the Exorcist which had loads of jump in your seat moments .
Lovely theatre with helpful and friendly staff. The seats was very small and cosy. Would definitely visit a show again
Went to see the panto with the family and it was lots of fun and silliness just as one would expect. Theater is small and a little cramped in the seating but the show more than made up for this.
The royal theatre was absolutely superb. The measures in place make you feel 109%safe and the staff could have helped more. No getting up at the interval apart from a loo break but drinks brought to your seat. An exceptional performance of Love Letters. A must see and a very safe environment. Well done to all that made it happen and long may it continue.
Got quite pricey tickets for what felt like a budget production (with great actors though). The theatre itself is lovely and the staff are friendly too.
Great theatre but seating is very cramped...productions are next best thing to west end ..worth the money good night out
Lovely little theatre. We visited for the first time recently to see a very short running play. Both the play and theatre were great. Seating is comfortable, although a little cramped - could do with more leg and arm room. However the venue is nice and we'll located for car parks and restaurants before/after a performance. We will definitely return.
Great old theatre. Social distancing actually makes the experience less painful as you have room to adjust yourself on the uncomfortable seats. Just so wonderful to be back in the live theatre area.
Lovely theatre, cosy, quaint with lots of atmosphere.
Lovely old theatre and fantastic panto! My family and I really enjoyed our afternoon out just before Christmas. We prepurchased the booster seat/snack pack for the children but as it happened our seats (middle of the circle) were raked steep enough not to need the boosters. We had a great view. Note that leg room wasn't brilliant for the grown ups, if we go back we'll try a different area of the auditorium.
Great theatre with a lovely atmosphere. Remember to allow lots of time for parking if you visit.
Went to see an amateur production of Cats. There was nothing amateur about this wonderful production performed by children of various ages. The theatre itself was delightful. Tasteful and charming. Lovely bar area for drinks during the interval. Parking in the nearby car park was very expensive - the only downside to the evening out.
Love this theatre. My son has performed on stage here. Great shows and on most Sunday's you can also attend a local church service lead by, KINGS CHURCH INTERNATIONAL, great preaching and wonderful worship.
Lovely theatre but towards the end of the show I found the seats where getting uncomfortable.
Lovely theatre in the centre of Windsor, and great for avoiding the normal long trip home associated with visiting London's West End theatres
Lovely olde world character theatre in the presence of Windsor Castle
Brilliant theatre, recommend to all, lovely staff :-)
Traditional theatre. Smaller than the west end but the sane sort of feel. Circle bar looks out over the side of the castle. Staff great!
lovely clean theatre watch ELO encounter live band performance
Fantastic show, Elvis, brilliant. But let down by the facilities. Long queue for the ladies toilet during the break. The bar area was very squashy too.
Lovely old fashioned theatre. Being a bloke, I'll definitely go again.
Love this theatre
Great production of Joseph
Great place to watch a show, some cheap shows here but very good
Lovely theatre, we have been a few times now when visiting relatives in the area. Parking close by, if a little pricey, but theatre experience spot on
Very polite staff, I watched Grease and it was amazing, good atmosphere. The prices at the bar are very expensive and the que for the toilets was ridiculous but overall had an enjoyable evening here.
It's a nice theatre but the rows of seats are too close together. I'm 5'6" and my knees were digging into the seat in front. I was very uncomfortable at The Lady Vanishes!
We all enjoyed the pantomime we saw. Wouldn't recommend the circle very last back seats. Very uncomfortable and hardly any acknowledgement from the performers we are there. Take own drinks also very expensive.
Great little theatre owned by Bill Kenwright that hosts pre-London westend shows and travelling theatrical companies. Also puts on a great Christmas pantomime. Check their website for up coming shows.
Saw Whitney queen of the night. The best show I've ever seen everyone got up off their seats and started singing and dancing really the best hope they do it there again would love to see it .it's well worth going
Great acting. Great shame no one bothers to check hearing loop. I lost few of the plays highlights, as I could not hear exactly what was said all the time. Hence lower star rating.
Great show today - Feet of Flames - brilliant performance x
Great venue for a family outing. Staff all very friendly.
Amazing crew and awesome place. We shall definitely return.
Very good fun
Social distancing respected
Really enjoyed like going back in time, great show Jersey Nights.
The Theatre has a great ambiance, only one criticism when it was refurbished they should have made a bit more leg room between the rows,
Brilliant. The show was amazing and Steve Blakeney wonderfully funny and his costume changes fantastic. Our grandsons loved it. Best ever.
Myself and my mother attended Windsor Royal theater last night, It was opening night of a play called AMY'S LIST.. i can honestly say this is one of the best plays iv seen. It had simple & effective humor whilst remaining quite dark. This play was both thought provocing and relatable despite it having being writen for the stage in the 1970's. The Repertory did an amazing job & really brought this play to life.. As i said this was opening night... so any1 living in the windsor area i highly recomend seeing this play :-)
We went to watch the Christmas Panto at this theatre. Probably been to 8 pantos in Windsor in the last 10 years which probably says enough in itself. The theatre is fairly standard and what you'd expect. It is well located near the castle with several car parks and restaurants close by. This year we were in the circle - further from the stage but still a good view. As far as the panto goes, I think Steven Blakely and Kevin Cruise are the real stars of these productions and make it hugely enjoyable to watch. I'm sure there are better, more lavish pantos you could see but we're very happy with our regular visit to Windsor.
Beautiful old theatre. Seats can be a little cramped and you need a strong behind for the bench seats in the gods. Gets some really good shows there. Lovely bar
We love coming here for panto every year. Such a lovely theatre.
