Flipping spectacular. Loads of animals and we arrived at lunchtime, only made it about half way around by closing. Prices in the park are on the more reasonable side and there was so much to see. Parking took some tactical hovering but only took 10 mins. We will definitely be back!

This was our second trip to Seattle and also our second trip to the zoo. It's a great destination and is easily accessible. It was a little busy with children on a field trip running wild like children do. I wondered if the animals were offended as being the ones labeled "wild" as most of them were lounging about.

Visited the zoo while in Seattle on vacation. The zoo is great with a large collection of animals. They are accredited by the AZA which means that they are a conservation organization which is so important to ensure the survival of all the animals you see on display and more. Definitely recommend visiting if you live in Seattle or are just visiting. It is sure to make everyone at least a little more invested in our planet's health

I LOVE Woodland Park Zoo! The staff are incredibly kind and accommodating, the animals are so lively and entertaining, and the whole Zoo is just a wonderful experience. Make sure to bring a carrier or stroller, because it s pretty spread out and little ones can easily get tired. There are small parks/climbing areas and things for littles to do inside the zoo like the zoonasium. Make sure to grab a map when you go inside so that you don t miss anything. Easily one of my favorite Seattle places.

half of the things are closed, for half of other half they have put barricade and you need to see from quite distance. And with the probability that many animals just sleep most of the time, your chances of seeing walking animals or proper full view of animals are limited. it doesn't justify the time and money.

I absolutely loved this Zoo and would go back in a heartbeat, the only downside was the other people not caring about their children and letting them run a muck. The workers couldn't care less about the visitors either. A group of children was chasing a poor peacock trying to rip its feathers out and the parents were encouraging it, multiple workers walked right past and did not do anything to stop it which is why I am giving it 3 stars.

Parking is relatively easy with a wide range of lots, and finding our way in. We were able to take advantage of being members of the Oregon zoo for a discount on tickets for the family. Great animal exhibits inside, and different structures and areas for kids to play throughout. A large cafe with a decent selection of food that tasted fine for cafeteria food, but quick and easy to grab lunch and easily find a table. The navigation and signs left us constantly reviewing the map to make sure we were heading to the right place. Some of the events with posted times collected large crowds of your typical people who make things frustrating. Adults standing in front of a bunch of kids to see a tiger but can't fault the zoo for it, but it did then create huge masses of people once the events ended who crowded up areas and made it hard to move. Could have done without the difficult to enjoy timed events. When exploring at my own pace along with the normal flow it was as great as any zoo I've been to.

Most recent visit was to see the zoo lights, very nice evening with a ton of themed light displays. Plenty of photo opportunities, as well as zoo photographers taking photos (for sale). Would absolutely come back again!

The zoo is very nice and you have views from different angles of the animals habitats. Bring your own food or prepare yourself to buy expansive food inside. It's a good thing, though that the food revenue also supports the zoo.

A beautiful zoo with lots of green space, wide sidewalks and wide selection of animals to see. We bought a family membership because we like going so much. It's worth it if you plan on going more than a couple of times a year.

The food selection is fine but the prices are a little high so we generally bring our own water and snacks. Then we get lunch elsewhere.

Spent a great day here! There's a one way system in place to minimise crowding and the staff are all very knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about the animals they care for. I think some of the exhibits were closed due to the season/covid restrictions so will definitely have to go back!

The zoo is huge. One day will not do it justice.

They are also doing a lot for conservation. The western pond turtles (endangered) have been bred and reintroduced into nature from the zoo efforts.

A membership is worth it if you are within driving distance.

Great place to take the whole family. Only drawback is the cost of admission and everything inside. Pack a lunch because the foodcourt food will break your wallet. Besides that, the Park was a wonderful place, full of amazing animals and staff. Lot of other things to do too. Our family loves the indoor/outdoor play areas and concerts.

The kids loved the Woodland Park Zoo, which is about 20 minutes bus ride from Seattle Pike Place Market area.
We got to see a lot of the animals. The Zoomasium area for kids age 8 and under is great! They spent more than an hour there playing while the adults could rest. The Food Pavilion was right across so we got to eat after we dragged the kids out of the Zoomasium play area. A large coffee was $3.5 and kid s meal was $8. You may want to bring your own food if the kids do not like fries and hot dog type of food. There were plenty of bathrooms and water stations around.

We live close enough that we just go for an hour or 2 and do small sections with the kids. The afternoon 2 hour before closing seems to be good for seeing the animals being active. Must be feeding time.

I went with family on Labor day. Hadn't been in years. Very enjoyable time and good exhibits
Helpful staff. Admission and food is spendy, but what we did eat was prepared well and tasty. (Hamburger and fish/chips)
Miss that they dont have elephants. But there are so many interesting fascinating creatures to observe. We also rode the beautiful 101yr old carousel, so cool!

Easily walkable. A nice variety of local and exotic fauna in (mostly) natural habitats designed to stimulate their inhabitants, while giving them places to rest from view of the public. Prime examples include: the orangutan exhibit, the venerable Savannah and don't forget the rhinos!

Great zoo. They have many different animals. The staff is kind and welcoming, and the animals seem to be in good care. I love coming here on the weekends. Also, very good control during Covid.

Been to the zoo many times before, but first time for zoo lights! My 1 year old was probably too young to really enjoy it, but I can see how an older kid would like it. They have a live showing of a few animals between 6 and 8 otherwise you just follow the lighted path they have set up and see the outlines of animals here and there. We got lucky with the weather but it was cold! Hot chocolate, coffee, and other snack stands are set up here and there, with a stand for adult beverages too.

I love the zoo! The exhibits are great, lots to see. Bring a sack lunch, food is expensive. They have these great water bottle filling stations too, although I couldn't find one from the map and it was quite frustrating. Enjoy!!!

Beautiful park and animals, but what upset me was that it was mine and my husbands first time there with our son and we couldn t even take off our masks for a photo. We saw the photos at the end and you can t even see our faces. Not cool. The Seattle Aquarium let us remove our masks for a photo.

Visiting from New York, the WildLights exhibition was one of the more delightful attractions in Seattle. I really liked the giant Lite-Brite with colorful glass pegs. The inside displays of bats, a sloth and a huge lizard were fascinating.

It's okay wonderful event venue and great workout walk around the park with jungle gym stops for the kids but overall has very little animal exhibits for a zoo. It's more like an event venue with some animals visitors and parks.

I went when it was raining off season and most of the animals were still out. I've also been during the summer when it's packed. I'd suggest sucking up the rain and going off season because there are no lines, no hordes of people, it's cheaper and the parking is easier.

The kids had a great time. I however realize how small and barren and depressing the enclosures are. I wish they could all be free in their own environments with acres and acres of space to roam and forage.

I've been to the Woodland Park Zoo a couple times with family and we've always enjoyed it. We brought my grandma once (not this past visit) and rented a wheelchair for her. It looks like you can rent other things for kids, like wagons and such, which I wish we would've gotten (so maybe someone could have pulled me around).

Tickets are kind of pricey, but I'm hoping they put it to good use maintaining the zoo and caring for the animals well, which seems to be the case... Great time at the Woodland Park Zoo.

I think we have a really great zoo in Seattle. The habitats are a lot nicer than other places I've been and there's a variety of rare and extraordinary animals. One of my favorites is definitely the red panda; it is adorable

Even with Covid the zoo was a wonderful experience. Some people still didn't understand staying 6ft apart but that should be expected. Zoo staff was very good at making sure masks were being worn properly. Everything seemed clean and safe.

It was okay. Didn t see lots of animals though. However, you can feed the penguins for $5 (please check the time bc it depends on the time & day). Overall, very good place but when I visited the Zoo there weren t many animals.

Being able to feed the birds seed sticks was so incredibly fun! This zoo was perfect to visit: a wide variety of animals that could be seen in a few hours. Not too big and not too small. I'll visit again the next time I'm in Seattle!

First time visiting for the lights, and was not disappointed. We went towards the end of the night on a Saturday, and while there was a decent crowd most areas weren't over packed. There were multiple areas to warm up and get something hot to drink, and places to buy light up souvenirs scattered around the park. Definitely great for families and kids, but also good for a date night if you don't mind crowds.

Woodland Park Zoo is the best Zoo I have been to. The animal enclosures are large and have a abundant amount of enrichment things for the animals. There is also excellent viewing options for all ages. The layout of the exhibit has a good flow that doesn't require you to double back a bunch.

With its commitment to conservation and education, the Woodland Park Zoo offers visitors a unique opportunity to learn about wildlife while enjoying a fun day out.

In addition to providing a great experience for visitors, the Woodland Park Zoo also plays an important role in conservation efforts around the world. Of course, no trip to the Woodland Park Zoo would be complete without seeing some of its most famous residents up close! From majestic lions to playful otters, there's something for everyone at this amazing attraction. Be sure not to miss highlights like:

- The Tropical Rain Forest exhibit: This immersive exhibit takes you deep into a lush rainforest environment filled with exotic birds, monkeys, sloths and more.
- Zoomazium: Designed especially for kids aged 8 years old or younger this indoor play space encourages children’s curiosity through imaginative play.
- Northern Trail: Here you will find grizzly bears playing together or swimming in their pool; river otters frolicking; snowy owls perched on branches; Steller’s sea eagles soaring overhead; harbor seals sunning themselves on rocks.
- African Savanna: A large open area where giraffes roam free alongside zebras & ostriches

Overall if you're looking for an unforgettable day out that combines fun with education then look no further than Seattle's own Woodland Park Zoo!
