I have been staying at this resort for over 30 years. I stayed as a kid with my folks and now take my friends and family for nice long weekend get-a-ways! The last time we stayed was TERRIBLE. We suprised our best friend for her 40th bday w a suite. When we got into the suite they gave us the wrong room, the room had an awful awful smell and the fridge was broken. We call housekeeping and they send a man for the fridge and said they would bring stuff to make our room smell better. When the man came and "fixed" our fridge he didn't and all the stuff we put into the fridge was ruined. I called the front again and told them about the friend and that our room still smelled. The gal on the phone said sorry and asked if I wanted to speak to the manager an I said yes. The next day (no manager call yet?) the second half of our friends surprise was our husbands came. We all had to change rooms. To check into our next room there was one man checking in and a LONG line. I waited over 15 minutes. I explained to the man when I was checking in about the previous day and he said "oh I apologize, who is the bday girl? I will send her something special to her room" I got into my new room (none of us were close tone another) my toilet hadn't been cleaned, I didn't even mess with the fridge and we just went to the pool. The next day I asked the bday girl if they did anything for her ad she said no???? The next day I emailed La Paloma about my stay with pictures of our room. No one has contacted me trying to make things right. I will reconsider staying there and I recommend that you don't book here. the resort is going downhill, I won't even mention how some of the others guests were that stayed there????

It was a nice stay. I was concerned that they aren t limiting pool visitors, it seemed there were too many people for comfort down at the pool. Alas, it is just my opinion.

The Azul restaurants breakfast was very pricey for what you get. The food was not fresh. (It was a little unappetizing to have stale/cold pancakes)

It was a nice stay for the weekend, maybe next time we will come on a groupon:)

The location and layout is beautiful, the rooms are relatively clean, the service is FANTASTIC, and the conference rooms are very clean & fictional. The only thing that I was not impressed by was that their main building did not have modern amenities (i.e. family restrooms, nursing mother room, etc.). I was there for a conference so I spent a lot of time in their main building and the guest rooms are in a separate building so it is a good walk away.

Father s Day weekend!! At checkin my room was not ready, waited more than 1 hour, then went to check on the room status and it was still not ready. Since it was passed 4PM they switched rooms. Got to the room, wanting to take a shower and relax the shower had pubic hairs called the front desk to switch rooms instead they send housekeeping to redo the work. The lights were not working, housekeeper got maintenance to change the bulbs but they guy never arrived. Typical Motel 6 feel, Horrible hated every second of being there. Never again!!!

Anna and I walked up to the Westin for an afternoon cocktail and found paradise! The expansive main lobby was knock down gorgeous but Westin's greatest asset was behind the BAR. Michelle "Ashley" made us feel welcome and so comfortable. She talked up the Westin Resort in a natural, authentic, sincere manner that has made the Westin our new favorite spot. P.S. The beverages and appetizers were great and reasonable.

I was here for a guest lecture through the UA. The hotel itself is gorgeous with beautiful decor and breathtaking views of the city and mountains. The service at the event was excellent as well.

The stay was fantastic. We were there for a wedding and the setting was picture perfect. The pool was a lot of fun and the pool bar served drinks quickly. We even got an upgrade which was much appreciated. Would definitely stay there again.

AMAZING. The number they had listed was not the number to reach the hotel.
Once I reached the hotel - our experience was first rate!
Great stay, amazing amenities.
We will be back!

Not impressed so far, I've called twice to make a reservation and been on hold for over 10 minutes each time. This is without even speaking to someone yet.

Beautiful facility located at the foothills of the Catalina mountains. The rooms are located among some very nicely landscaped pathways. You may see wild life including Javelinas as I did on my stay. Great views of the Catalina mountains. My room was very nice with wood simulated tiles in the foyer and bathroom. The bathroom was huge with a wonderful shower, tub, and dual sinks. Amenities include several pools, hot tubs, and a swim up bar with food! Green areas for pets and service animals. Huge open entry with huge open main space and bar. Great views of the mountains from the entry. I was there for a convention and the amenities were world class. Other amenities include golf and tennis.

Please book somewhere else. We had so many issues from locals bringing in alcohol and being stoned drunk to scary food choices at azul's. Then to top it off a man from room service was rummaging through our room before check out and caught him in the act. The managements reapose was pitiful.... "we will look into it" that was all we got then shipped on our way... Stear clear of this place.

Our guest who is attending for the big meeting sponsored by an organization to be held in January 2017 was charged already for the booking which is unusual and surprising for most known hotels in the US. We tried calling the accounting office to provide us copy of the prepaid invoice and it took us many calls to get the attention of the accounting personnel. And the worst of all the accounting personnel was rude and didn't follow the request to send a copy of the invoice to the right office.

This place is perfect for young kids and adults there is a water park and there are tennis courts along the courtyard. Its all around great place to spend time with family for the day, or night whichever you decide.

Here for a meeting - the staff are excellent and the location is very pretty. They know how to keep their corporate customers happy. I would recommend this location for offsite meetings to any company.

Stayed here from Saturday to Wednesday, my husband stayed until Thursday because part of it was a work trip. Breakfast Sunday morning was incredible, Leif the cook made the best omelets and has a fun, inviting personality. He made sure my breakfast experience was perfect.
I like tea with my breakfast, Sunday they just gave me tea, mind you they had about 9 choices of Tzao, it made my morning. Monday they gave me tea, the pot of hot water, and a plate with honey, lemon and cream. It was wonderful. And then my server made sure I had a hot cup to go! Talk about feeling cared for! She did a magnificent job. Monday we ate in a reserved section for the company my husband works for. Again I was given a cup of tea, I asked to keep the hot water, was not given any honey or lemon. I'm not trying to complain, I just don't understand why different servers are doing it differently. I mean for the money it costs to come here and eat breakfast here I expect service to be consistent.
The room and bathroom are very big with a soaking tub, shower and beautiful view and close to the gym. It's a bit of a walk to get to the pools but worth it. They have about 8 pools plus a lap pool behind the gym. Three of those pools are jacuzzi's. I had to ask for more wash cloths on Tuesday because they got to give us more on Monday.
Over all a great place to stay. I would stay here again.

Where to begin with this place.... For $250 a night I expected a higher end room with quality service, a decent view, and minimal effort to get around. Wrong on all counts. Every bit of effort for the resort was thrown into the idea of an ideal pool party scenario. I've had better quality rooms for around $100 a night that included breakfast. The bed was mediocre and lumpy, the lights were all super dim (2 didn't even work), 2 power outlets weren't working, the coffee and the maker both were absolutely the worst, and the AC wouldn't cool the room lower than 72 degrees (no matter what it was set to). On top of that we had to park at the front and then walk about .25 mile to our room because there is no parking by the rooms period. The golf cart taxi service is barely reliable since everyone is asking for it to avoid hiking to the restaurants or parking lot. The only thing decent about the place are the pools (if you like the drunk party scene) and the luxuriously decorated and feeling of the front lobby. Everything else was extremely subpar. I couldn't have wasted my money any worse than spending it on this place. Literally go anywhere else people.

Great resort overall with a few big misses. The place is falling apart in some spots including the main lobby and bar area. There is a massive stain on the ceiling from rain damage, the marble is faux on the walls and has seen better days, there are quite a few areas that have paint and surface damage that have been left without repair, etc.
Overall the pool area is great but there are a great many bricks that are loose around the pool and I saw more than one person catch a flip flop on the edge and go for a tumble.
Last, once you are past the front desk, the rest of the resort is run by teenagers. That can be good or bad but they don't have the skills to talk to people when it is time to close the pool for a monsoon or at 11 PM - also, why did it have to close at 11? Noise is not a problem at this resort and there are no lifeguards on duty even during the day.
Anyhow, still gave it four stars as it is overall a nice place to stay.

The food here is sub par and the rooms are that which you might fin anywhere else the price you pay is really for use of the club that has the same name. Pools, tennis courts and lobby are nice. The carts taking people around takes away from the atmosphere. All around good but some major shortcomings for a 4 star resort

This place exceeded my expectations. Our room was very spacious in the bed was comfortable. There are very nice paved walking past throughout the property surrounded by imaculate landscaping. I would highly suggest this property to anyone with mobility issues. Not only is the resort full of wheelchair friendly pathways but they also have complimentary golf cart shuttle service. Our particular room had a amazing view of both sunrise and sunset over the mountains. It is located in an affluent area and for the price I would consider this a value filled experience.

The place was super clean and very comfortable. I was especially happy to get a good room after 900 miles on the road. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I would have liked to take in a round of golf but needed to be in Austin the following day so no fun was had on the golf course. If you're passing through I would strongly advise staying here.

My checkin experience was great! Michael couldn't have been more professional and genuine! Once in my room there was a half empty bag of beef jerky on the floor by the curtains. Ok I can deal with that but what I can't understand and am extremely upset to have the lady at the front desk wake me up at 5:30AM to verify my credit card the last day of my stay!!! I have been here for a couple days now. A simple message keft on my room phone would have been more professional than waking up not only a hotel guest but spg member!! Will reconsider recommending the Westin La Paloma Resort.....

La Paloma has beautiful views everywhere you look! They also provide great service and hospitality, easily handling extremely large groups for corporate events. The dinner was delicious and was steak with chicken. However, I noticed that the temp of the steaks was inconsistent and I ended up with a well done steak versus those around me who had medium rare steaks. Still overall a great experience!
