This place was okay. For the price we paid, I would have expected something a bit nicer. It's a bit of an older looking hotels and the rooms show it.

Attended the ARA Conference. Excellent service, friend staff.
The hotel had very nice reception areas and staff. The hotel itself is starting to look dated and there were a remarkable number of boogers on the stalls of the common washrooms. But the very competent staff made up for these shortfalls.
Been to the Westin several times. Rooms are always in a good state, parking is easy to find nearby, staff is helpful and their event rooms range from small to large. Nice hotel with lots of restaurants choices nearby.
I've never spent a night here, but I've eaten here and used the parking garage. The staff are friendly, and the food was great.
Though I cant speak to the quality of lodging, I have been here for multiple professional development sessions held in the conference rooms upstairs and am always pleased by the clean, friendly atmosphere and complimentary white tea mints.
I was here for a professional seminar related to my job at Telus. Though only there a short time, tha facilit was well maintained and clean. That's all I can really say.
Great location for conferences and meetings. Rooms are comfy and staff are very accommodating.
Enjoyed the venue for our friends wedding. Really nice and super well taken care of by the staff.
Stayed here for a wedding. For the price of the room you'd expect breakfast and parking to be included but it was not. Other than that the stay was good.
Like other Westin locations, they are clean and well kept. Unlike other Westin locations, the usual amenities you would find are lacking such as the daily newspaper delivery to the door and a rather confusing underground parking arrangement. If you park in their underground garage you can either pay at the meter or obtain a pass at the front desk. Not only can the passes be more expensive if you get one from the front desk (you pay a flat rate of $30; it's cheap if you plan to park the car for the entire day) but you'll need to walk back to the car and display the pass inside the car. Save your time and effort if you park in the evening by paying at the meter. I parked my car at 7pm and paid $20 for a spot that is good until 9am the next morning.
For high-end hotel parking over night should be included. Pay over $200 than an additional surprise $30 for parking. After getting in to my I room I find out that wifi is $2.95 per half hour. You have to sign up for something to get wifi.
For every negative review you read here paid positive review is to follow.
I will not return!
Stayed here in 2006 with a friend. The room service is expensive, & the Westin may have been nice when it opened in the 1980's but now after some 39 yrs later it starting to show it's age. It's lacks the old luxury of the Fairmont Hotel MacDonald across the street or the Chateau Lacombe. My guest room was extremely old looking the mattress was uncomfortable, so when I spoke to the Front Desk Manager he really could care less with no discount offered. My room service to two hour's to arrive when I ordered it at 6 am, I was extremely upset with the Server, but again my concerns were never properly addressed with the In Room Dining Manager. Back in 2006 the Westin was the Sister Hotel to the Sheraton Grande Edmonton, lot's of the management got jobs at the Westin when the Sheraton Grande Edmonton became a Sutton Place Hotel property as it is today. Back in 2000 the Sheraton, previously opened as a Four Season Hotel, then a Hilton, so already it was some 30 year's old & now it's 41 year's old so it's showing it's age obviously as many of the aging downtown hotel's are. It's just not worth the price, but many of the Westin guest's are now corporate client's so they don't pay for their room's so they would care less how bad or ho good it is. When you add on the parking charges daily to your room it's just not worth it. The breakfast buffet in the lobby was over priced & the buffet food was all cold, again nothing was dome about it. The Marriott International chain bought out the Westin hotel chain & the Delta hotel chain from the Fairmont Hotel's company so hopefully thing's will get better. Now the Delta Centre Suite downtown at the mall has a modern look to the guest room's all in white I feel like i'm in a hospital surgical suite about to have an operation done.
They shut off the AC in November when it was plus 20 but after I complained they brought free beer to my room.
We celebrated our son's birthday this weekend by going for a staycation to Westin. We did inform the hotel in advance that it was our son's birthday. At check in the front desk agent Melroy was professional and kind. He also greeted our son a happy birthday. We got to the room and there was a birthday gift from Westin waiting for him on the bed. Every staff we met was kind and professional. The rooms were clean. Because of covid, there is some changes/restrictions, but everything was explained to us at check in. The pool was the best part. Lol. It was clean and the water was at the right temperature. Overall, will definitely go back and recommend the hotel.
Visited the hotel for the conference. Conference rooms are big and facilities are nice
Very friendly customer service. Comfortable beds, clean rooms. Excellent price. I'll come here again.
Best place to stay in the downtown core beds are dreamy
Had a good time having dinner and drinks with some friends here. This hotel is a great option to check out during one of the many festivals because it is in the center of downtown and really close to transit.
Comfortable beds and fantastic hotel gym with free weights ranging up to 50 lbs, 4 treadmills, 2 ellipticals, one spin bike, a universal cable machine, and hopscotch just outside. Entrance through the pool area.
friendly staff at the door. nice touch to have water coolers in the conference rooms. well kept bathrooms.
Stayed here for work and thought the hotel was great. Service was amazing, the bed was insanely comfortable and although the breakfast was quite expensive, it was delicious.
Excellent service. Staff were overly friendly. Room was very clean and comfortable
Rooms were out dated. Mattress have large pee stains. Food very pricey.
Came for a conference. Was a lot nicer than I expected. Roomy and comfortable. Food was decent. Great service.
Can't say the value is here but it's certainly a clean place to stay.
$33/day parking for guests.
Room angles were odd but not unmanageable.
TV would randomly shut off after it was angled to be seen at the bed (most likely brittle or broken wire in power cable)
Attended a wedding at Westin. Convenient paid parking lot right behind the hotel. Event staff were helpful and attentive. Buffet items were delicious except the desserts.
Had a conference here so we had to stay a couple night. Beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean
My friends and I went to the restaurant inside the hotel; Share. The service was good!... Our server was very engaging and in my opinion was great. We had a large party of 10 and the entree did take a bit longer than most liked but the time fly by as we chit chatted. We were there during Edmonton dining week, which for 1 week a select number of restaurants in downtown had a set course menu to choose from. So our menu for that evening has 2 price point options. $28 and $45. Within those you had 2 options for each of your courses too!! The food was really tasty and we all enjoyed the presentation. All in all, it was a good experience. We didn't stay overnight with the hotel though... Just there to eat and experience Edmonton dining week.
A great place in downtown Edmonton. It was clean and the staff was very friendly. Would book again!
Friendly staff and rooms are nice and big, we stay there while waiting for ours daughter heart surgery, we got Referral from Ronald Macdonald, will sure come back there again!!! Thank you
Was there for the BOMA gala and as always the service was fantastic. Our only complaint was my husband's tenderloin was well done and kinda hard, but feeding 300 guests he knew some would be off temperature
Very central location, limited parking however. Great food and service for the lunch and learn I had attended. Had some sound issues at first that were addressed immediately.
This hotel has you pay only $5.00 if you forgot your gym shoes and gear. The gym is an average size, and pool is more of an oval shape, not ideal for laps. The staff are extra friendly and helpful, located right beside the Canada Place building (not the best food court but lots of choices).
the westin is a fine hotel.
I was especially impressed by the quality of the beds and the size of the rooms.
The service was friendly and the breakfast was very good.
The room was beautiful and clean. The beds were great as always. The only difficulty we had was that the security was not friendly when we returned from the dance at 3:30 am. We would hope for better security service from the Westin.
Down town, lots of eateries, pubs, and bars within walking distance. Rooms/beds are comfortable; you don't have to bend over to take a shower, decent Internet.
Great service, clean awsome rooms. Swimming pool and fitness club on site.
Very nice event space. Parking is an issue. Slow bar staff.
Staff were so helpful when my conference location has moved and I was not informed. They helped me find the new location.
This "luxury' hotel is another pathetic example of corporate pettiness. $5 delivery charge for a $20 breakfast ordered from the kitchen. $11 glass of milk, and a daily valet charge of $41 for parking your vehicle less than 2 blocks from the entrance. Gym is a 300sf treadmill funeral with a convenience store that has robbed more people than Bonny & Clyde. Staff is friendly but management might as well be a kiosk that repeats "that's just our policy." And unlike The Terminator, I will NOT BE BACK.
Great hotel with lovely staff. I always enjoy staying here.
Went here for a conference, elevators were not working. The parkade elevator that wasn't working wasn't very clearly marked so I saw a few people wait and wait for an elevator that wouldn't come.
The service and rooms was fantastic as always! We felt very welcomed and enjoyed celebrating our special event!
Very clean, top notch service. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
The Westin is located in a central downtown location which is great for business and social events, it is right across from Sir Winston Churchill Square and very close to Edmonton's major theatre, art, and music hubs. The rooms at the Westin are nicely decorated and clean. The service is generally good, the food at large professional events tends to be cold but otherwise things are good.
Great hotel. Neatly arranged and delicious breakfast.
Cabbies out front very rude when trying to drop off / pick up. Overall stay was good.
Nice atmosphere for my work function. The food was a little plain but still quite tasty.
Service was good, no power and water in morning had to go elsewhere to shower and brush teeth, rooms are dated and parking prices are ridiculous
Stay away from 7th floor. My colleague and I happened to land on the 7th floor even tho we came in on different dates.
We both found our showers have rattling noise when in use and it could get really loud. Also, the temperature of the water is either very hot or barely warm... No such complain from my other colleagues on other floors tho.
Very good conference facilities, good catering, and excellent location for exploring downtown Edmonton
Great night celebrating my sister's wedding on September 15th!
Excellent amenities, well appointed. Very friendly staff. Overall excellent value.
