I lived here for two and a half months. The rooms are nice and the beds are incredibly comfortable. Top marks for the cleaners, valet and front desk staff.

Great customer service. Very impressed with how tentative they are.
In an age of quirky, fun places to stay for personal travel and intense competition for business travel, the Westin Edmonton feels like a bit of a relic.
Wonderful front desk staff are let down on numerous fronts. The loaner workout gear program is a great idea for business travelers, but it either takes upwards of an hour to arrive, or, simply never does without repeated prompting - hardly conducive to getting in a quick workout in between afternoon meetings and dinner. The workout room and pool are small and dated, the air conditioning loud and the dining quite expensive.
Asking for your car to be brought around in the morning can take upwards of a quarter of an hour and calling down from your room well in advance often seems to not accomplish much.
My impression is that friendly, helpful frontline staff are let down by poor communication and planning by those higher up. There's a lot of potential here though and I remain optimistic that a few tweaks are all it would take to provide a great experience.
Friendly front desk / concierge staff and the chicken sandwich at the cafe was tasty. Server was very helpful and attentive.
The Weston Edmonton is showing its age. It's dated bar/restaurant area is glaring reminder. Pipes that are screwed to the walls along the hallway as your waking to your room shows a complete lack of sensibility or complete disregard for ensuring a positive customer experience. Be sure to call at least 25 mins piror to the valet to have your car brought up. The beds/pillows were quite comfortable.
Nice clean rooms with great service in a great location!
Beautiful hotel, comfy beds, awesome shower and accommodating staff! Love that they accept dogs!
Location was perfect for the event we went to. The room was clean and spacious.
I can come in a relay at a time when the I am : , . 2 I am the air. the first time I was a good time for a while. how do the air. the first to review the following link I have a good idea of. we will be able, and play with.
I stay at the Westin every time I make a weekend trip to Edmonton. It is a good hotel in a decent location. The lobby is welcoming and I never have to wait long to check-in. The only "complaint" is that the rooms are starting to feel dated so maybe it is due for a renovation soon.
Friendly service, brought luggage up to the room and were helpful with whatever we needed, room service breakfast left something to be desired and was expensive for what it was
This is a spacious venue, with great decor and awesome, professional service. I come here every year for Folk Fest, and every year the Westin staff are kind, accommodating, and helpful. This establishment is top notch!
While this hotel is a fantastic place to stay I was disappointed that a few of the services that I have come to expect to be free were not. This may be due to the fact that this was a downtown Edmonton location.
The service itself was great. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. I would stay here again.
I was visiting a friend there so I did not stay. Lobby was clean and welcoming
The room had peanut on the chair and finger prints all over the glass
Very quiet sleep
Rooms were clean and nice enough, but the price was a bit high given that the beds were only double and that the heater was squeaking all night.
Parking is pretty expensive: SELF = $33/day, valet = $44/day. Quite a rip off in my opinion. Standard rate for 1 room with 2 beds is approximately $250/day, which is quite pricey for a basic room with no extra amenities, although it is very neat & clean. The hotel is equipped with a pool & gym on the 3rd floor, which is well maintained & quite nice. Laundry is available upon request. Breakfast buffet is close to $31/adult, pricey although they do provide a variety of food options with good service.
Very close to City Centre mall & Citadel theatre. Everything is easily accessible by walk. Staff is friendly, helpful & very attentive.
Overall, very nice but it's on the expensive side in my opinion. If I didn't book the room with my points, I would probably opt for another hotel.
The bed and view, as usual, were amazing. The bathroom and the carpets were such let downs. The shower didn't work properly - there was no water pressure and at least half of the water came out of the faucet.
The carpeting was a mess. It looked so old, and there were parts where there were huge gaps in the seams, and other parts with large lumps that should have been pushed out.
It's okay I was only there for a meeting... didn't like the coffee
High standard hotel with very comfortable rooms and perfect wireless internet. For business purposes a great place to stay in Edmonton. Staff is more than friendly and offers all the help en service you need. One morning I had to leave early before breakfast and when I asked for a wake-up call the night before, I was offered a breakfast to go which was prepared and ready to pick up at the front desk the next morning.
Food was good. Buffet. At a staff function so I can't speak for the rooms as I didn't stay.
I want to give a special shout out to the gentleman who was working the omelette station today & yesterday, he is super friendly, always smiling a definite asset to your hotel!!
The customer service is great but poor service,You have to pay for parking and room is not really kool...paid over $200 for a room with low quality service
One of the best places to grab a bite after an Oil Kings game.
It was a good place for a professional meeting. It offered several different rooms and venues for different kinds of presentations.
My wife and I have always enjoyed staying at the Westin. The beds are comfortable and the staff are very friendly. The restaurant downstairs has some tasty items on offer. I guess my only complaint is that you have to pay for the wifi access. Most properties include this as a standard amenity especially in a hotel that is frequented by business travellers.
The location of the hotel is central and is easily accessible by underground walkway to the LRT and downtown shopping centre. Remember to include the cost of parking in your stay.
The Westin is an excellent place to hold meetings or events. You can relax at the lounge or have fine dining in Share. The rooms are practical for business or nice romantic evening. Has all immenities I needed.
Wayne Gretzky stayed here. Saw him in the lobby. It's was nice know to that even a multimillionaire, with the ties he has to the oilers, wouldn't buy a house in this dump of a city.
Elevators kept breaking, but otherwise a great experience
Very comfortable, great staff and services, handy to everything
Staff was amazing and friendly I will stay there every time I am in Edmonton
Stay while attending Food Fest & the Tragically Hip final tour. Loved my stay ....
We didn't stay at the Westin because we live here. We were there for Grey Cup.
Very nice view but paper thin like walls. They're very strict on how many people can stay in 1 room. 1-2 assigned to each bed.
I love the classic Westin . Great staff,a great location, great rooms, well kept with excellent service with a smile. I would recommend this hotel anytime.
Great location, heart of downtown. All the amenities are in close proximity.
Rooms are fine, and service orientation is more business than hospitality. Staff needs more training to serve better alongside hotel customer services needing review
Nice room, they forgot to supply toiletries but comped my parking.
Nice hotel, nice room and close to a lot of downtown Edmonton's shops and restaurants but there's no need to pay as much as you are. Not only that but I feel almost every other hotel I've been staying at downtown has given me free Wifi. I had to print some hockey tickets, went into the business room and then promptly paid around $20 dollars for about 1 minute worth of internet to print these tickets. Parking is rather pricey as well...considering you're already paying top dollar for this hotel you can certainly find other options if you're willing to save some money.
Rooms are great! Very spacious and not too small. Pricing at the Share restaurant is of course overpriced and the midday service was lacking. On the fence about whether or not I would stay here again.
Enjoyed my time in the reception hall. Delicious desserts and good coffee. The staff were friendly also.
Place was very clean and had a very inviting atmosphere. Staff were also very polite.
Was only there briefly with a group to greet a guest but staff were helpful and accommodating. Previous experience with The Westin Edmonton while arranging a major function has been extremely positive. Even had my dog along while picking something up and they welcomed him like a guest - nice to know there's such a quality upscale hotel that's pet-friendly.
Service always excellent but rooms are due for an update. Ours didn't have a fan or an opening window. Faucets and fixtures are a bit worn out.
Nice hotel right in the heart of downtown. Five minute walk to Rogers Place.
Good rooms but a bit dated and the couch had old stains. Trouble flushing toilet. Maintenance was up in minutes. Restaurant was good but service was VERY slow. Later when the place got busy the service was non-existent. Beware the parking charges. $48 for one night Valet parking. I think valet added $18 to the bill. Convenient to Rogers.
Everything was great except for the fact that we paid for Valet parking and our car was parked outside in overflow.. Wouldn't have been an issue but then we parked underground ourselves (to spare the 10 dollars extra to have our car parked outside) and paid for the meter- a mistake on our part- but nothing was done by the front desk/management to reconcile the payment and register our vehicle as a guest vehicle. Very disappointed with this service.
Had a good business stay for 2 nights. The waitor in the restaurant was great friendly and service was excellent. To was good with nice view of Edmonton. Front desk clerk was friendly. Excellent location for business stay.
Had to wait until 4pm for a room. Rooms could use some updating.
The room and the staff were great. Room service ran out of many of the dishes offered which was a bit of a let down.
Room was clean, and features are updated. Hotel is also in a great location, and is near some of the attractions of downtown Edmonton. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Great to see for the first time on a historical your of Edmonton
Attended the event there, it was easy to find parking in downtown around the hotel during lunch hours. Event went well, service was ok, hall was clean and well organized.
The only real good thing about this hotel is the comfy bed and being located close to the Roger's Place. Other than that it was awful. Never in my life have I had to pay for parking at a hotel but "lot" parking is $30 and vallet is $60! Then the halls stunk of fresh paint (although I do appreciate them upgrading one shouldnt have to smell that as it was super strong). The rooms were horribly designed. We were in an angle room the tv was on the right wall on the bed with little movement so adjusting it isn't the greatest, we had a king size bed so there was only one side table. The side that didn't have the side table had all the outlets to plug electric devices into it and the coffee pot was on the dresser had to be relocated to the bathroom for an outlet (like what hotel that offers coffee doesn't have it plugged in?) - overall this hotel is NOT worth the money for the lack of hospitality
Was there for a work lunch function. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent.
The room was amazing. Great view of downtown and spacious. Staff was very friendly.
Went from drinks and it was quiet and classy (complimentary bowl of nuts as well which was nice)
Room was nice, very clean. The shower in the morning had no hot water though. I think that the water tanks aren't big enough for the massive hotel. Parking is hard to come by and expensive. We did valet parking for convenience.
Great with everything you'd expect with Westin hotels
Downtown hotel in the business district, Beds are comfortable and the curtains fully black our the light (necessary with 10pm sunset and 6:30am sunrise as of July). One nice thing about the Westin is you can choose for them to not make up your room for the next night, and in return you receive either $5 at the bar or 500 loyalty points.
