Food and atmosphere was great. Only issue was the conference room was noticably cold and there wasn't a way for them to increase the heat that day. The next day was fine. Silly problem to have though.

We had an all day session for work. The food was excellent. The only issue was the kitchen staff were on the other side of the wall which was not sound proof and they were very loud and distracting.
Room was relatively spacious and well-appointed. I was working near to the hotel, and they were kind enough to push back checkout and extend parking until I left the city that evening. Pool and sauna area could use some TLC, but otherwise the Westin was a pretty great home base for a quick trip to Edmonton.
Rooms are spacious and clean. Showers provide very hot water instantly. Location is excellent for business in the downtown core. Staff are very welcoming. Underground parking is available.
I had a great experience. I stayed on the 15th floor, and my room was immaculate. The washroom was a little small, but it's a hotel and I don't think I needed a whole lot of space. The bed was AMAZING!! Unbelievable how comfortable the bed was. I found the hotel itself to be in quite nice shape, I had no complaints over it needing updating like some other reviews said. The only thing that could maybe be improved was the TVs in the rooms, as it looked quite old, but I really didn't come for the tv. The only downfall really, was the breakfast buffet. The food was alright, but it was very expensive. It was 25 dollars, and I'm not a huge eater, but it was Cheeper to get the buffet by the time I had juice and coffee, so I didn't feel like I got my worth. It would be better to walk to a nearby Denny's, if at all possible. The staff were the biggest plus, from the moment I checked in, to the moment I left, every person in that hotel was courteous and very hospitable. The valet staff were excellent, and greeted me by name. The comfortable beds and amazing customer service is enough reason for me to send coworkers and friends that way next time they are in Edmonton.
I was at the Westin for a meeting yesterday and the service was great. I was in need of wifi and the lady at the reception desk was able to provide that for me. Thanks, Westin!
The staff was incredibly friendly. The food was good as well. The hotel is old and the building should likely be torn down... Refurbishment attempts are apparent though don't cover the aging. Gym is woefully small for size of hotel with limited equipment. Bathrooms are old and shower not up to usual Westin standard.
I was there for an exam only, so can't comment on the majority of the usual hotel services. As for the exam setup, everything was perfect. The hotel itself is clean and easily accessible. There was a public parking just across of it. I give 4 stars simply cause I don't know about the rest of services. I do however, thank the managing team for caring to reach out for me for the missing star. Thanks guys.
The hotel room is good, but a couple of issues 1. The work desk in the room is covered by a glass plate. This means an optical mouse won't work, unless you place a different material under your mouse - I used the back of my tablet cover. 2. There are two power outlets at the work desk. One outlet is used by the coffee maker which only leaves one outlet to charge your devices - pic of power bar posted. Yes you can unplug the coffee maker, but you shouldn't have to. These aren't deal breakers, but are in sharp contrast to the Marriott where the work desks look to be designed and built around the needs of business travelers. With multiple power outlets to plug in laptop, phone and tablet. Also their work desk surfaces are optical mice compatible.
Friendly staff, service is outstanding, location right in heart of downtown, one drawback is that the outlets wete loose (our plug in devices didnt set firmly in the outlet)
Went for an 18th birthday event at the Manitoba/Saskatchewan room. Service was great and the lady, Tammy, that helped coordinate the event was great too. Loved the desserts!
Fairly standard Westin property. Hotel itself is a bit dated but they do try to upkeep it. The only downside is they got rid of the lounge for Platinum and up members. They should bring it back! The gym is also slightly odd in shape as it is a u-shaped fitness centre. Service and staff are top notch!
The level of service and attention to guests is amazing. If you get a chance, grab some dinner at the Share restaurant. Everything was delicious!!! And they're dog friendly too!
Great morning restaurant staff. Small fitness center for the size of the hotel. There is a longer underground walkway to the city center if it's raining or too cold outside.
Great service and great location. Facilities and rooms are dated and in need of updating otherwise good downtown hotel. Wifi was weak in my room which made it hard for work. Lobby bar is pretty good and food is okay. Lots of great options close by.
The hotel is very nice! Staff was able to accommodate my request for a mouse for my computer as I left mine at home and needed it for my work. Room was not quite on the same level as the Westin in Vancouver, but that's a minor gripe. $15 for the wifi even when you're a member of their rewards program seems a little silly! Overall very happy. May stay there again.
Most comfortable bed and linens I've ever felt; helpful and friendly staff. HDMI input not recognized by tv input which sucks. Wish there was a sauna or steam. Hoping the gym is well equipped; going to check out out shortly.
The hotel was nice, spacious and well-staffed. I did find some of the food a little dry, but I guess that's the nature of a buffet. I wish parking were a little cheaper, but I know this is one of the better hotels in Edmonton.
Great service and quick check in. Bathtub tap very hard to turn and some hair in the tub. Otherwise the rest of the room was clean and breakfast was great.
Older but great service and renovated rooms. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was excellent. Lots of power ports in the room and some of the best blinds for the windows I've ever seen which is great since the sun doesn't go down till 11pm LOL
Stayed here my first week in Edmonton and they are trying to recover from a flood due to burst water pipes. So I decided to move on to another hotel until they get back up to speed.
Superb breakfast buffet, with a wide range of options including health-conscious ones. Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff were attentive to our table's needs, and regularly offered fresh coffee and oramge juice. I would highly recommend the Westin for breakfast meetings.
