We stayed here for our wedding night several years...

We stayed here for our wedding night several years ago and will never, ever return to stay here. From the get go it was a gong show to deal with this hotel. We had arranged for an early check in so the bridal party could use the room to get ready. (Our ceremony was being held across the street in the Citadel). A family member had paid for the hotel as a wedding gift but made it clear that the bride and groom would be checking in, not the credit card holder. The staff refused to allow us to check in or go up to the room until the person who paid for the room came to the hotel, which delayed us quite a bit. After finally getting into the room, we find that there is a broken cupboard door in the main room that hangs open and will not close. No big deal. Then I notice the bathroom is not properly cleaned and still had long hairs stuck to the sides of the bathtub. Ick. Looking closer, the bathroom itself seemed in need of some attention. The shower head was starting to come away from the wall and the caulking needed redone. I wasn't impressed for the price that was paid for the room. As we were just getting ready to leave for the ceremony, one of my bridesmaids gasped and pointed out that there was dog hair ALL OVER MY DRESS. It was everywhere! Two of the bridesmaids are highly allergic, and we couldn't quite figure out why their allergies were acting up. Well now we knew. The room was supposed to be pet free. Luckily, it was mostly on the underside of the dress, so we got what we could off and ran for the ceremony.

When my husband and I returned to the hotel after the reception, we were disappointed to find that there were no parking spots left in the parkade. There had been a parking fee when booking and we had registered our vehicle license plate. We ended up paying over $25 to park in a lot behind the hotel. One good thing - we were pleasantly surprised to find a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries when we arrived back in the room. When we went to climb into bed, I was horrified to find large stains on the bedding from who knows what.... To top it all off, I discovered several small red bites on my feet after getting out of bed in the morning. Upon check out, there was a fee for accessing music streaming services. My husband had turned on the TV and accidentally selected the "Music" menu before finding the channel guide. I guess this was use enough for a fee?

We did communicate all of our issues with the staff, and I believe the stay was completely refunded to the family member who paid for it. However, after such a horrendous experience I just cannot recommend staying at this hotel.

Stayed here for an event last week and purchased valet parking. When my car was returned the next morning my car had been torn apart. My registration, insurance, axillary cord, charger, and multiple more items were stolen from my car. I brought it to the attention to the reception and they told me a manager would call my room to discuss the matter and look over security footage. No one contacted me. Upon checkout the next morning i brought it to the receptions attention again, another employee told me that there was nothing they could do about it. They did not let me watch the security footage with them and they still charged me the 95 dollars to have my car broken into and torn apart. Very unimpressed that I spent this amount of money, don't purchase valet parking unless you want your car broken into.

Very poor experience. Poor wifi. Took 45 minutea to logon! Tv remote didnt work and the room was right across the hall from the exit door that slammed all night waking me up.

Room was dated and felt dirty...not a 250 a,night experience.

I attended a work Christmas Party this month and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The buffet was about average but I was disappointed, a little, that no perogies were included. No one's fault besides my lofty expectations. I will probably go back, next year, if my work holds the party here again.

Over priced. Add an extra $40 - $50 a day to your price of the room. $30 for parking (if the garage isn't full). Internet starts at $10 a day for WiFi (didn't think hotels even charged for WiFi in 2015 much less 2016). Rooms were (visibly) clean, I'll give them that. But I'd expect nothing less for the price they charge. And if you're hungry, don't entertain the thought of the hotel restaurant, unless you want to spend $20 for two eggs and bacon. You're better off strolling down jasper. Shop around.

The thermostat in my room was broken. It was set for 33degrees Celsius. While they fixed the issue (quickly and at 9:30 pm) they should have offered me a new room. The food and service are good but not above expectations. There seems to be a lot of miscommunication between staff.

Other than the annoying sound of AC and expensive price, everything including Sauna and pool is perfect . Do not be tempted by the pictures of the hotel showing cute view of city through window. There's only view to the wall of another building unless you can afford Royale suite on top floor, or you're fair skined.

Room was large and clean. Very comfortable. Night staff nice; day, so so. You have to pay for parking. Minimum 30. You also have to pay for WiFi. Slow is 10/day fast is 13/day. Imho parking and WiFi in this day and age should be a given and free.

Enjoyed our stay. Everything was of what is expected. However when offered the upgraded room that was 40% larger we asked to see it. The room was actually less appealing then our regular room. But the beds and staff were amazing.

I must say that the charge for parking is ridiculous. 70$ for two days.

Best experience ever the night before the Edmonton Marathon. After our room was not ready, we were upgraded too an amazing suite on the top floor. My kids had a blast enjoying a superb room we would have never paid for normally. Staff were amazing and pool was great. This is our only choice in downtown Edmonton from now on.

Excellent service from the get go, parking was easy to find. Room was very comfortable albiet a bit dark. The little touches like the bottle of water and the lavender oil made the experience so much better.

Here on business, and am overly unimpressed. Only on level eight, but you can tell the hotel needs renovation in many areas. Walking the halls feel like a 2 star hotel, and the rooms are small. Furniture is worn and TV is like a first or second Gen flat screen and small!
Room service!!! My lord, I could make ten breakfasts for the price of one of theirs!!! And higher end. If you want a cup of herbal tea, be prepared to spend $5.50 for the tea, then another 15% gratuity, $5 delivery fee and 5% tax.
The bed is great. That's the two stars are for! Plus, Wifi is not included in your stay. Ummmm it's 2016 folks. Glad the company is paying. Won't be coming back.

Great stay, great breakfast, great service, water pressure could be better both in shower and in terms of suction for lavatory etc. Hotel slightly older which can be felt in no aircon in hallways but rooms R modern and nice.

We booked a wedding block at the Westin for my wedding and I would highly recommend them. We had a ton of out of town guests and it got a bit complicated but they managed the room block and all the bills perfectly. I also stayed at the hotel and got ready with my bridesmaids. They were very accommodating and the staff went out of their way to make sure I felt special throughout the weekend.

We visited for a dinner event, and were surprised at how good the food was. The rolls were very fresh, the salad was interesting, and the chicken was extremely tender. We also liked the super chocalatey dessert!

Good hotel but parking availability is difficult at best. Underground library parking is sometimes closed. Just drive a little west up the small side street by craft beer market/ruth chris to use that multi-level parkade. About $11 for 2 hours during noon hour.
