Very wide assortment of natural foods! Beautiful produce and the deli and bakery have some of the most delicious recipes! There is outdoor seating available for a quick bite. Service dogs are welcome here as well!

Trying to cut back on meat and dairy? This place has all you need. Get the Seitan from Ortons. It's great! Tons of Herbal extracts and essential oils too. For the meat eaters they do have a remarkable butcher.

The hot bar and deli are always stocked with a variety of mouth watering items for every diet! I am vegetarian and eat predominantly vegan and am never disappointed with my options. The staff make you feel welcome and are beyond helpful.

It took me a while to warm up to this community and I finally joined. There are plenty of good sales and discounts to offset the high prices. They also have a program to reduce food prices if one relies on EBT. The people in each of the departments will go out of their way to help you find what you want. This is a topnotch cooperative and is well worth several visits until you become familiar. I think you will like it!

Great local co-op with a nice selection. The butcher counter, in particular, is the best I ve encountered in Minneapolis extremely friendly service, willing to answer questions, and a large selection of organic and grass fed meats. Lines at the front lanes can be slow moving sometimes, but I figure that s just the nature of a co-op where many things are sold in bulk (i.e no bars codes). Speaking of bulk their bulk selections of rice, nuts, beans, everything is exceptional and a great way to save money and buy exactly the amount you need. Finally, I will say that the membership is a great deal. If you shop here regularly you will more than make up what you ve invested in a few short months thanks to the generous sales and monthly discount.

I appreciated the large variety of fresh produce, supplements and bulk items. I found a great gluten free selections even in the hit food area which was a pleasant surprise. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

This co-op is really close to my apartment. This is probably the only reason I find myself going here any more. Prices aren't too crazy compared to some... I am really not one to complain, at all. But I seem to find that if I'm in my work clothes, suit and tie wear, I get dirty looks from both the customers and the staff. If I wear my normal clothes, no one gives me the time of day. Today I went to pick up some parsely and kale. I grabbed a few other things, and was looking to ask someone a question but could not find a single worker who didn't speed walk the opposite direction of me. As I sat my things on the conveyor belt the boy bagging asked me a question but spoke so softly that I had to move closer to him. Thus allowing me to forget my parsley in my basket. She scanned the items on the belt and then looked at me for a few seconds rolled her eyes and said "you need to take that out of the basket". I said "What?" And she just pointed at my basket on the belt. I realized the mistake I'd made, but would it really have killed her to take it out of the basket herself without being snobby? As I waited for her to give me my receipt she stood there looking confused so I said, "Can I have my receipt please?" And she sighed. As the woman behind me put her basket down with a few things in it, the cashier said "Empty your basket." In the snobbiest tone. I'm sorry but I think the workers could be a little more kind and willing to help rather than avoiding you and being rude.

Incredible selection of local and organic produce and other products! As a non-local and enthusiastic co-op shopper, the bulk section was the best I have seen at any co-op across the U.S. Well done!

New interior and exterior! The remodel has opened up the store giving it a wonderful, spacious feel. Finally, customer seating inside, and new this summer, patio seating out the south side door. You won't be disappointed with this new Wedge!

Combining a bodega, cafe and community space well takes talent and the Wedge has pulled it off. They've got a small selection of quality groceries as well as a deli and baked goods. I like to grab a coffee and a scone in Sunday mornings and read, then get my groceries (combined with Marissa's down the street you can get all your staples).

The staff are very helpful and the buffet is stellar! I can't recommend a better place to find local sourced items for your kitchen and home. You must try their organic goat and sheep's milk cheeses!

"The Wedge" is a simply brilliant Co-op. I've traveled a lot, and lived in different states so being health and earth conscious, 'finding the co-op' is always high on my agenda. The Wedge is absolutely world-class. The selection, the care, the quality, the long-term employees, the reliability.. I cannot say enough positive about this co-op. FIND YOUR WAY THERE when in Minneapolis. Make it your go-to if you live here.

It s your uptown neighborhood co-op with some additional frills. Coconut soft service ice cream, full fledged cheese section, an actual bakery, meat dept. and hot foods. Well, some of that has taken a break during covid but they ve been really good about social distancing. Most of the time I ve popped in for a thing of ice cream and a box of lacroix, and it gets the job done.

Yes!

They do care about quality. And I benefited from their educational magazines. Once you go organic it's hard to go back.... nothing else tastes right. They gave me opportunities to try organic produce and products and I have stuck to those.

I love this location. They always have the off items I can't find elsewhere. I love all of their bulk items that contain everything from flours, beans, granola, soy sauce, syrup, nut butters, salad greens, detergent, shampoo...etc. I have dramatically reduced my wasteful purchase of products in new containers every time I run out of a staple as I now refill containers with higher quality for less cost. Their spice section is also well stocked with most of the odd spices I need. Their baked goods are addictively good and their meals are also delicious. I am also in love with their newer, longer hours. Highly recommended!

Manager threatened to call the police on me becaus...

Manager threatened to call the police on me because he didn t like my tone when I said I did not need to go to the express lane. Said I was combative. I m all for helping people check out quickly, but the employees shout Sir! Sir! sir! from across the store, and it s just annoying. It s one thing if I m 4 feet away from the express and I m 5th in line. But to have 3 people tell me about the express lane when I m perfectly content being next in line, and employees are sneaking up right behind me and getting my attention, it s awkward and weird. I simply pointed that out, and the next thing I know, the manager is saying you have to use a more pleasant tone next time you re here. I told him I disagree, and he threatens to call the cops. This place is so politically charged, I thought they would be against unnecessary police intervention. I didn t call anyone names, didn t do anything threatening. Just had an opinion and a tone the manager didn t like. The customer doesn t have to have any kind of tone to shop at a business, especially when they aren t causing any harm. And he had the nerve to call me buddy. This place is horrible, and I ve never received any kickback from the membership I signed up for 2 years ago. Never ever shop here.

The new redesign is worse than the store was before, unless you spend the entire time in the bulk section. Basically an over-priced, corporate coop that can get away with anything because everybody who shops there buys into the marketing. As an organic farmer, I can also tell you that the Wedge is not the wonderful supporter of local farms that it claims to be. They buy in limited volume, support very few farms, and completely threw Gardens of Eagan under the bus. All of these five star ratings seem to indicate that people that shop here don't actually care about how ethical and sustainable the Wedge is, as long as it makes them feel better to shop there.
