My son attends preK at Hamline, and we've been thrilled with the whole experience. From the friendships he's developed to the academic routines he's beginning, we couldn't be happier with the school and his teachers. I sat in on the two kindergarten classes yesterday, and I was impressed, but not surprised, but the consistent engagement of the students. Hamline has a great elementary program, and I'd encourage you to check it out!

Went there to get some food donations. The people were very friendly and helpful.
Went to this school for a tour. I didn't like what i saw. First i saw a gym teacher yelling at students about gum. Ok yeah i get it. That's frustrating to have to clean up gum off the floor. But why are you as a teacher yelling at students. It just doesn't look right. Then i see a class of kids going back and forth upstairs. Ok.....Then listen to the teacher say in a sarcastic tone great you finally got after 3 tries. Maybe we should go for 5 times to make sure. Now as a father seeing all of this doesnt make me want to bring my child here. It doesn't seem to upbuild the students is looks like the thing here is to tear down their self esteem. Just as a concerned parent i wanted the school to see what it looks like from am outside point of view.
