I was here for Infantry Officer Course (I-BOLC). I lived in Norton Villages. I paid $1000 flat for rent and utilities for a 2.5 bedroom, 1.5 bath for which I was happy. The responsiveness of the maintenance crews were always in a timely manner; normally within 1 or 2 business days. The housing staff were always professional and very polite. Especially the lady who worked the front desk (will not say her name).
I also enjoyed that I lived within walking distance of the gym, library, theater, running trails, fast food stores, and my job location. Station here as a soldier in training, I could not ask for a more ideal location.
If i have any complaints, one would be that the A/C did not work well upstairs where the bedrooms are. I bought a mobile A/C unit to keep my room cool. Secondly, I disliked havjng 1 full bath, but my roommates and I made it work. Sharing 1 restroom while in training less than ideal. Third, I hate all of the grass weeds that grow in front of my apartment around my A/C condenser. The vines grow from the ground to the roof. This was the one work order I repeatedly asked about getting complete. I understood it was the landscaping crew and not the maintenance team which possibly caused the delay. Still, the front of my house looked like Jurassic Park. It was pretty horrible. No one else house on the block had the same issue. Lastly, did not like the mold in the restroom. I bleached it as much as I could, but it is time for a complete renovation. Mold spreads so you will have to get rid of all the infected parts.
Overall. I was pretty satisfied with my stay. I was here for training, not for 5 star luxury living.
