High end grocery market. Great fresh produce and ready made foods. Expensive!

When trying to find a specialty item, or a unique treat for my family, I love coming here. I've never been disappointed and staff are always amazing. People don't always pay attention when parking, so be careful. I've almost been hit here a few times!

Great grocery with a fresh selection of everything. They even have their own line of frozen foods that are wonderful.

If I could give NEGATIVE STARS TO THIS PLACE, I SO WOULD. STAFF IS HIGHLY DISRESPECTFUL, THEY DO NOT EVEN GREET YOU properly. My father is disabled and wished to shop inside, they clearly refuse and say only one person per family. Should I leave my father outside. They grabbed the cart from my hand. These people should get a life because such people are bad influence to the village grocers. I once loved to shop here but definitely wont be shopping here again. TRAIN YOUR STAFF TO SPEAK WITH RESPECT OTHERWISE YOUR BUSINESS WILL DEFINITELY BE IMPACTED THE WAY YOU HANDLED YOUR STAFF DURING PANDEMIC. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE STAFF. SPECIALLY THE LADY( MANAGER) AND THE GUY AT THE DOOR.

YOUR NOT THE ONLY GROCERY STORE IN MARKHAM, THERE ARE TONS OUT THERE. DEFINITELY LAST TIME VISITED HERE. WONT BE VISITING HERE EVER AGAIN AND MAKING SURE WILL TAKE THIS TO SOCIAL MEDIA TO EXPOSE VILLAGE GROCERS HOW THEY TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS. SHAME ON YOU ALL.

The Village Grocer has both good and bad parts to the store. The prepared bakery items are very tasty and well prepared. The prices for them are fair.

However, the rest of the store is not at all impressive. The quality of the groceries/meats are comparable to The Garden Basket but at a much increased price and reduced selection. The staff were not helpful. When I asked for pancetta, the girl at the deli counter asked "Is that some sort of meat?".

Would only come here for bakery items. The rest can be found in other grocers and butchers around the area for much better prices.

In my opinion this is the best grocery store in the city. Epic dessert options, stellar meat and fish and incredible fruit and vegetable. Very pricey to be sure but very much worth it. Not as expensive as Whole Foods but definitely as good or better quality. Catering and breakfast options are also fantastic. Try the chicken and goat cheese sandwiches; it's the best sandwich I've ever tasted.

Unique grocery store. Have interesting items that you don't see at a regular grocery store. The photo is a Hydroponically grown tomato!

The quality is never disappointing (it achieves what Whole Foods only pretends to be). There are a plethora of products you cannot obtain at the big box stores. The produce is local and delicious. This is one of the few food places that I am always excited to visit. There is a community atmostphere with friendly clientele, which makes it a must-go for people visiting the city.

It's perhaps a little outside my price range so I only come here for very specific and small purchases. Saying that, the people and products here are top-notch. Deli and bread selection is great, and their cakes/desserts are also a good bet.

The Village Grocer provides a wide range of good quality foods prepared in-house as well as a wide range of fresh fruits, vegetables, meat and fish. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

There lunch counter is amazing! The sandwiches and wraps awesome as well as the hot table! Great place to go with friends.

went to this place to pick up my pre bought my easter turkey and they had sold 10 of my 18 ponds of turkey. I left with my 18 pounds of turkey but they took 10 pounds of someone else's to give me my food.

Fantastic staff, great meat, vegetables, deli and baked goods! Floral arrangements are first rate. A lovely selection of plants and nursery stock in season. Great job Evan!

Awesome boutique grocer with so many delicious gems to be had. A little on the pricey side, but worth the money.

Quality at its best. Everything they sell is top notch, the croissants are baked fresh on the premise, it is hard to just eat one, loved their meat department, store made deli meat are second to none, also top quality produce.

Worst customer service. I went in today to buy just one milk packet and the greeting girl at the entrance was incredibly rude, first stopped me and my wife , by saying only one is allowed that is ok. After that She was forcing me to take a cart , I said that I am picking a Milk packet so why to take a cart .i will be quick, she said no. I left after that, I have never seen such a bad customers service . Why do you hire people who are so rude and Sad that it makes people not want to visit ever again.

It was a pleasant shopping trip until I checked my receipt when I got home. I bought one box Bahlsen's Afrika Dark chocolate wafer crisps, one box Bahlsen's Leibniz milk crispy cookies & I bought only 1 box of Bahlsen's First class dark chocolate flavoured crispy wafers but instead they charged me for 4 boxes of the First Class. I am overcharged $5.49 x 3 times! So disappointed. I hope it is not intentional! I live downtown, so it's a long way to go back there again. I don't know whether they have video at the cashier to show what I've bought. It was my first visit there after watching a clip on YouTube talking about this grocer. I really should check my receipt every time. Hate that I cannot trust people to do their job right.

Has a couple of key Macedonian products which is nice. Ajvar, Lutenica, and Fino Apple Chips.

Really nice store with large selection of meats and cheeses, and just a small freezer section which is rare and refreshing

Something different than going to big box grocery stores, wonderful shopping experience, great selection of homemade frozen foods, baked goods, deli meats. Homemade stuff is quite delicious. Worth the premium prices every once in a while.

Has my favorite sausage here. The sage and onion is my absolute favorite. Also amazing baked goods and huge selection of condiments. Cute Finnish grocery store with all the nostalgia to go with it.

Amazing store. Their pre-made items are super fresh and tasty. I love the potato salad and coleslaw. The bakery is outstanding with tons of options and well priced. The best is the meat counter though. The ground beef cooks up well and isn't dry like so many chain stores. A little more expensive than most places but well worth it!

This is a very nice and small grocery store, very cozy, clean and well organized.

Here you can find almost anything you need with great quality meat and produce. Their baking products are quite good and delicious. They also have a nice deli section with good variety of products, and there is also prepared food available.

They have a reasonable sized parking lot structure which is very convenient.

Amazing everything! Really,- where to start? Fish, meats veggies are all of the highest quality. Excellent prepared foods. Even wine and Craftbeer. A must stop shop!

They have some decent niche items in the the produce area, very good sauce selection too.
I really like their steaks and prime burgers, sauseges are pretty good too. I've asked questions about the meat blends or ingredients and they usually "don't know" which I find strange for a specialty store.
Also don't buy any of the salads at the front, sort of basic with the opposite of "basic" pricing.

Top end eats and groceries. Getting a bit crowded these days.

Delicious beef stew and lasagna were delicious, the ingredients were also beautiful.

They have delicious and well priced cakes. I would shop here again for their hot foods. Not crowded either.

Don't go here without having a coffee first, you'll need to caffeine to get through. There is so much good food and ingredients here: cheese, fresh bread and vegetables being highlights. The range of unusual and unique cooking ingredients is huge with almost all cuisines at least having some coverage.

Beautiful nice clean store. They have varieties of high quality products. Many made in Canada products as well.
