Our stay at the Vermont Inn was awesome!! Kayla and Mike provided a relaxed easy environment for stay! And that s saying alot considering we were there as part of a big -ish group for our daughters wedding! Food was excellent! And the Inn as a wedding venue is simply magical! We happened to hit leaf peeking time and wow!! Kayla was amazing with wedding details! High recommend the Vermont Inn!!

The Vermont Inn is officially our home away from home. The innkeepers and the staff truly make you feel like family. We booked the entire inn for our wedding ceremony and had free range of the whole place for the weekend! This place is sooo cozy with amenities around every corner and little hidden hangout rooms. My wedding guests were amazed with how warm and inviting this place was. The staff was so accommodating with all of our special requests and they were very helpful throughout our wedding event. Thanks to them, our wedding was the most dreamy and beautiful experience we could have ever asked for! We are definitely gonna be reoccurring guests for our upcoming anniversaries. I can definitely see why their slogan is "Come as guests, leave as family."

We had such a lovely stay at the Vermont Inn for a birthday weekend! I can't wait to come back. The rooms and Inn itself were lovely and rustic, the breakfast was out of this world, our server Jameson was great, and the experience was seamless in the midst of COVID. Truly can't say enough good about the staff and Inn itself - highly highly recommend!

Such a nice stay!! My party (three of us) stayed for three nights at Christmas. The place was large enough that we rarely saw the other guests. There were two to five other families there, some with young children who seemed to enjoy having the run of the place. There was only one night when we didn't get the hot tub all to ourselves.
The co-owners were on site and available to us. They made recommendations where to visit, and upgraded our room for free!
Breakfast every morning was extensive (included) and delicious, with gourmet coffee and massive pancakes.
This inn is a hidden gem. For real, it took about five minutes to get to Pico, which is SO worth a visit for skiing or snowboarding. Killington was MUCH busier and twice as expensive for lift tickets! And the Inn was located only a few minutes from town, where there are plenty of shops and restaurants as well as a grocery store.
If I were to go back to Rutland, there's no doubt in my mind I'd look to the Vermont Inn for accommodations.

this inn has such a homey atmosphere. absolutely loved our 'suite' and the rest of the place. Fireplace and Jacuzzi bathtub in our room made us feel like royalty. The downstairs is comfy with a few chill living room areas and a separate bar area. Breakfast menu in the morning is restaurant quality, loved our veggie omelets. They even had a gym and hot tub outside under an awning which was a great way to relax after a long day on the mtn.

It was home away from home. The breakfast and coffee were excellent. The couple that run this Inn Amy and David are so helpful and friendly. We just loved our stay with them. We will b back some day.

The Vermont Inn was a wonderful place to stay for a night in Killington and conveniently located minutes from the mountain. Emily and Mike were great, they were extremely accommodating and the entire house was warm and welcoming. We stayed in the Pico Room which was very clean and had a lovely fireplace. Breakfast was delicious and the Mike's cookies were top notch. We loved every bit of our stay and we're already planning our trip back.

Very chill and nice place. Amy the inn keeper was especially helpful and kind, accomodated a larger room for us. Breakfast was made to order, generous portion. There r reading corners on level 1, which made a good place to chill if you dont wish to stay in room nor go out. Just a small comment: fridge area could get a stale smell at times, maybe that was due to the food smell left by guests. But i realised it was cleaned up v soon. Will def recommend this place

This inn was amazing! I surprised my mother with an overnight stay here for a girls weekend. She was so pleasantly surprised by how beautiful the place is, inside and out! The family that runs it is so lovely and kind. We had a nice room, peaceful and quiet the whole time. They offered a seasonal cider which was absolutely delicious!!! We had recieved great dinner recommendations from one of the owners. Breakfast was made to order, their adorable and pleasant son took our order and was very prompt and respectful. I'd definitely stay here again!!!

We brought the kids for a night. The Windam suite was gorgeous, with plenty of room for all of us. The four post pillowtop queen bed was very comfortable. The pull out sofa bed, not so, I hear. I suspect for a child sleeping on it as a couch rather than a bed might be comfier. Everything was clean and well stocked with glassware, lotions, shampoo AND conditioner, none of that all-in-one stuff. The jetted tub was very comfortable for one or two and even with a splashing baby! You share a fridge with other visitors in a nice little coffee room. More than one label in the fridge reads "take one on us!" from other friendly travelers and the communal areas are really sweet. There's a nice game room, a T.V lounge with videos, coffee/cocoa/tea and cookies in the reception area, a breakfast room and bar, a gym, hot tub, outdoor pool, kids play area, walking trail, fire pit, and Adirondack lawn chairs facing Pico mountain right across the street. The included breakfast is so good; with real, not canned, fresh melon and berries, big fresh bagels and herb cream cheese, that we didn't even try the pay-for-breakfast menu items, like the spinach and feta omelette or pancakes. Amy and her husband were very pleasant and accommodating, they even had aspirin on hand for my wife's after dentist visit headache. We look forward to checking out their Two Birches suite, without kids!

We stayed at the Vermont Inn for 1 night for a Wedding up the street. The service was wonderful. They let us check in a bit early. Their Breakfast was amazing. The Location is perfect for so many activities. Close to skiing, hiking, climbing. This room served its purpose and was very clean.

They have beautiful suites, and accommodating owners. A little bit away from the main destinations, but a great hotel. Breakfast is fantastic. The Vermont Inn is worth a stay, especially with their sauna and jacuzzi.

Very friendly staff! Beautiful scenery. Place is well kept, including the grounds. Stayed in the Lilac Room. Cute and very clean room. Not a very large room, but perfect for a couple staying for a night. Offer multiple options for complimentary breakfast. Overall enjoyed my stay. Would recommend it.

Amy & Dave are amazing and very welcoming! We had our dog with us and he received his own little doggie bag with presents and then the entire staff spoiled him the entire stay!! The room perfect, the 24 hr coffee available, perfect. The afternoon cookies, homemade, perfect! We sat in the bae/lounge area relaxing with the owner and other stay while our pup was making himself at home! I absolutely loved this place and we will definitely be back! Thank you Amy, Dave and everyone else who welcomed us and made us feel like family! Oh, i forgot to mention the wonderful breakfast available and included with the stay! We will see you again! Always, Connie, Dale and Porkie

This place was very welcoming and neat. Old place with lots of charm. I would recommend this place if your looking for a comfortable place to just rest your head and enjoy a fabulous breakfast before heading out on your adventures.

Very pleasant place in the Green mountains to stay. Amy and David are the hosts and are so willing to make your stay enjoyable. Plenty of cozy places to sit. Pool table, sauna, hot tub, pool. Very good breakfast. If the sun is out and the air temperature is good, there is a patio to eat on. Both Rutland and Killington are minutes away. Stayed 8/22/19 and will stay again.

I had my wedding there. Emily and Mike, the owners, were so helpful. The venue is wonderfully rustic and all the rooms have their own personality. They have a stocked bar, which was fabulous for keeping the guests happy. All in all, we've been working with the owners for a year and everything went smoothly without much trouble. Highly highly suggest this place for events or just for a room. Plus, free hot breakfast from a small menu in the mornings!

Had a wonderful time. Loved it. Second time there, this time for our honeymoon. Able to bring our 10 week old German Shepherd. Staff was amazing and friendly. Very accommodating and they make an amazing breakfast, those buttermilk pancakes are the best.

My husband and I are just leaving after an amazing anniversary weekend. We cannot say enough wonderful things about this beautiful inn. The service was exceptional, the food was excellent and the rooms were clean and comfortable. If you are coming to the area, do not look any further. This is the place to stay.

Thank you so much for such a fantastic weekend. We will be back.

Really awesome place to stay, we got great value with it being so late in the season. I gave the place four stars for two reasons; the first being the cleanliness of the hot tub...have a feeling it wasn't being used much this late in the year. Not a big hang up. Other reason was the pillows, they suck lol. I know to bring my own next time which rectifies my only real problem.

With that being said, this is a quaint little b&b close to Killington. Everyone on staff was lovely, the breakfast was AMAZING, and we will definitely book again. Thank you for your hospitality.

My girlfriend and I were on a motorcycle trip and the Vermont inn accommodated is immediately on short notice since there was a huge storm rolling through and we were living off the bikes. Needless to say I would recommend this inn every time! Breakfast was great! Service was great! Prices on point! Stay here!

We LOVED our stay at the Vermont Inn. The rooms were very clean and nice. The breakfast was yummy and we had the most handsome little waiter, who did FANTASTIC!! Thank you, Jameson!!
Michael and Kayla, the innkeepers, were very friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay great!!
Thank you both!
The grounds of the inn were beautiful with all the fall colors.

We will stay again if we ever make that direction again.

There could not possibly be enough positive things...

There could not possibly be enough positive things to say about both The Vermont Inn and its Keepers, Amy and Dave. Besides being extremely gracious, accommodating and friendly hosts, I can quite literally say that they were our guardian angels during times of trouble. During a 3 night stay for some skiing at Killington I managed to blow the engine on my 2014 Chevy Equinox (which had zero issues before that point). The engine's dying process took place across 2 locations - first at the mountain when the car wouldn't stay running at the end of the day. As a last resort, we called Dave and Amy for a rescue and 20 minutes later, without hesitation, Dave had bought us motor oil and arrived where we broke down. The oil got the car running and Dave followed us back to the Inn to make sure we were safe. Once back at the Inn, my car died for real and for good - the 3 quarts of oil Dave brought us were exactly enough to get us safely back to the Inn. But now we were stranded. Not only did Amy and Dave allow us to stay in our room an additional night *free of charge* and on merely their good graces - they also made us dinner the night we were stuck and breakfast the following morning...once again without hesitation. Coincidentally, another guest staying that weekend had broken her shoulder on the mountain the same day, and again Amy and Dave allowed them to stay an extra night merely on their good graces. This was the first time anyone had been stranded at the Inn, let alone 2 different guests - yet Amy and Dave were not only okay with but *happy to* help and offer their support in any way possible. All this is besides the fact that The Vermont Inn is beautiful, historic, charming, comfortable and very conveniently located. To us, Amy and Dave are no longer "just" gracious hosts - they are very dear friends. We look forward to returning, perpetually, and would highly recommend staying here to anyone who may be interested. The experience and hospitality is above and beyond.

Gorgeous grounds with plenty to do. I wish we would have stayed for more than one night so we could truly enjoy all of the amenities (which include an in-ground pool, hot tub, work out room, fire pit, and reading nook.) Our room was clean and the perfect size for the 2 of us with a lovely view of the mountains. They upgraded us to a complementary sit down breakfast, which gave the options of french toast, pancakes, or an omelette. Both the french toast and pancakes were delicious.

Great place to stay since we had a wedding nearby. The included breakfast was fantastic every morning with a variety of hearty options and good portions. Everyone was friendly and the place seemed well kept and clean. If I ever get back to the area I would definitely stay again.

I absolutely loved this place. I found in on a fluke & so glad I did. Mike & Kayla are great, very helpful & accommodating. It was the perfect place for a relaxing weekend. Breakfasts were absolutely delish!!! Jamison was awesome as our waiter on our second day. Great job Jamison! And to make it even better home made chocolate chip cookies In Our room upon our arrival & pet friendly!!!! Will definitely return!

The inn is clean, cozy, and welcoming, but more than all that, the Vermont Inn possesses that extra Vermont B&B charm. Chocolate chip cookies at the ready, sweet tea and raspberry lemonade on tap, a nice lounge area...and above all, the friendliest staff working there in the form of the owners. Would love to be back!

The Vermont Inn is a charming, quaint inn run by the sweetest innkeepers you will ever meet, Amy and David. The Inn is situated between Rutland, a cute city which has great restaurants, (Table24, Roots the Restaurant) Weston, which houses the famous Vermont Country Store, (a must-see!) and Killington where we went snow tubing. Our room had a fireplace and was super clean and well-kept. There are homemade cookies every night! It is so nice to walk downstairs in the morning to a homemade breakfast. There is a 24/7 tea/coffee/hot cocoa room, games to play and books to read on the porch. 10/10 would recommend. We can't wait to come back! Big thanks to Amy and David for making us feel welcomed and for giving us a wonderful inn-experience! -Diana and Kevin from NJ

We wish we could give more than five stars. We stayed in the Fairhaven Room for two nights with our dog. We were greeted with fresh baked cookies, a full inn tour with Amy, and our own doggy welcome package. The fairhaven room was perfect for us with a private entrance that was great for taking the dog out for a walk on the property, on the private road next to the inn, or a hike on the trails close by. Breakfast every morning was so fresh and delicious. The inn keepers, Amy and Dave, were beyond amazing and made this visit to Vermont truly special! They made sure we had everything we needed and more. We can t wait to go back! The inn is the perfect distance between killington and Rutland. We were able to get to downtown Rutland in 10-15 mins and the Foundry restaurant in killington in less than 10 mins.

Stayed here in the summer for a weekend getaway with my fiance. We were among the few guests there at the time (as it's a more popular winter destination) and absolutely adored our time. Emily was extremely friendly and helpful, the location is stunning, and the rooms were very comfortable, clean, and private. Perfect place to rest, read, and hang out, or venture out a few miles for hiking and walking. Can't wait to go back! Highly recommended.

Currently in a long distance relationship, and this bed and breakfast made for the perfect halfway meeting point for the two of us to get away for the weekend. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area, hiking, horse back riding and of course skiing in the winter.

The staff were of great hospitality and warmth in their customer service and the breakfast at this bed and breakfast was of course amazing!

Spend the day enjoying beautiful Vermont to come back and enjoy a drink in the hot tub before retiring to bed, made for a perfect weekend away!

We ll be back again for sure.

I truly don t have enough words to describe how wonderful this inn is. From the cozy hospitality (amazing breakfast, homemade soup, cookies, and readily available hot tea and coffee) to the many lovely spots to relax and read or just unwind and take in the peace and quiet, this place is SO special. We were visiting family in Rutland and even my native Vermonter husband was very impressed. We can t wait to come back and feel taken care of again. It was truly like coming home, even though we had never been there! Thanks again!

Such an absolutely beautiful place. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Although I was not an overnight guest, just there for a wedding, I would recommend somebody to stay here. The food was great, drinks were not bad in price, and the bar was so cute! There is a wonderful view. Pool on site also a little playground for the kiddos. There's a portable fire pit lots of comfy lawn chairs. My only tiny issues were the bathroom off of the bar was also really small and I have no idea if there were any others. There was also what appeared to be a leak coming from the toilet which unfortunately leaked onto my skirt. But with that being said I notified the staff and they were right on top of it. I definitely will stay here someday in the future!

Amazing place to stay in Vermont! Clean rooms, dog friendly, and delicious pumpkin spice French toast. In a great location if you re looking to spend time in Killington. They were very accommodating to our dog, Hank. We will most definitely be coming back.

We stayed at the Vermont Inn a few weeks ago on our way to Maine. We wish we would have planned several days there!!! Amy and Dave were great! Breakfast was great! Everything was great. It was exactly what we would have expected staying at an Inn in Vermont.

The location is also breaktaking and was the start of a beautiful drive through Vermont and New Hampshire. We already are planning on returning in a couple of years in the fall so we can see the colors. We definitely plan on staying at the Inn again!

Sidenote: Good Luck on the wedding this fall. We have to think it will be stunning. Also, hope that Amy's dress that my wife helped with works out!!!

We had a delightful stay at The Vermont Inn. The room was spotlessly clean, the view of the sunset from the expansive lawn was memorable, and the breakfast was fabulous (best pancakes I ever had, and I am an aficionado, just saying). The inn retains the charms of its heritage without sacrificing the important things people need in lodgings (cleanliness, comfort, and security). I am so glad to have made the acquaintance of The Vermont Inn.

Not too far from killington. Fabulous breakfast in the morning. However, the amenities and rooms are horrific. Our room was literally about 55 degrees all night. Hot tub was a petri dish of mold. We weren't too pleased with our stay, but maybe some rooms are better than others.

Our stay at the Vermont Inn was lovely. It was my husband and I s anniversary week away and Mike and Kayla are sweet and hospitable individuals and did all they could to make our stay cozy on the colder side of the fall season in Vermont. They gave us dinner recommendations, a full tour of the inn and told us their stories.

Breakfast in the morning was splendid and Kayla made us signature pumpkin spiced lattes. I will be visiting again and next time for a longer stay!

Kayla and her husband create a warm and inviting atmosphere. They go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need including a personal plate of warm cookies each day (my husband is a cookie monster). It is wonderful to wake up each morning to fresh brewed coffee and a delicious breakfast. We loved sitting out on the front lawn by the fire pit and enjoying the afternoon breeze. The bed was comfortable and the Inn quiet. A great place to stay and explore Vermont.

Everything about my stay was amazing!! The staff are perfect. Warm, genuine and approachable without being at all invasive. It was like a combination of the best things about staying at an Inn and the best things about staying at a hotel. I absolutely recommend! A++ (Also, make sure you don't miss their legendary breakfast!)

My husband Todd and I first stayed at the Vermont Inn back in March 2020. This was right before Covid 19 started to affect businesses. As soon as we walked in the front door we were in love with the Inn! We were greeted like family! We had a tour of the Inn. A nice fire was burning in the dinning room fire place. This was so warm and cozy! We were shown to our room which was the Windom Suit! We loved the large walk in shower and jet tub in the bathroom!
There are many areas through out the Inn to relax, read, play games, hang with family and friends! The rustic bar area was great for watching a football game or sitting with others in fellowship. My favorite sitting area is upstairs in a small sitting room off of the hallway. It's quiet and just feels very cozy! I love going to the little guest kitchen in the morning (which is stocked with coffee, tea, and hot chocolate) to get coffee and sit in my favorite room.
We love the Vermont Inn! We have since returned 3 times after our first stay in March!

The Vermont Inn is a rare find...a peaceful getaway with the most hospitable inn keepers! Phenomenal food (omelettes were amazing!) and service...thank you, J! Our suite was beautiful and very clean, as were all the common areas! Beautiful outdoor views with plenty of hiking trails nearby! Thank you for allowing my best friend and I to enjoy a weekend away from the daily demands, and for going above and beyond our expectations!!!

Cozy, clean and welcoming is the way we would describe this amazing Inn situated just a few minutes from Killington and Pico mountains. The room that we stayed in was so cute and clean. Amy and her husband who are the innkeepers also made soup and fresh chocolate chip cookies every night of our stay. We sat by the fireplace and enjoyed pizza at night and in the mornings the country home made breakfast was to die for!!!

One of the best inns/b&b I've stayed at in VT. The staff was friendly, accommodating and very welcoming. The rooms were not only pretty but comfortable as well and breakfast was always delicious. It includes lots of fun amenities, such as sauna, pool, hot tub, game room, bar, jungle gym for the kids. But my favorite was the wooden swing and fire pit looking out into the mountains.

We found this inn by accident when we needed a place to stay a few years back when our car broke down. It is a very beautiful and cozy inn with amazing service. We came again in a non-busy time and they upgraded our room to a suite for no extra charge. I would highly recommend this inn to you.

When they say you arrive as guests, but leave as family , they really mean it. I had a slight accident as we arrived and had to get checked out at the local ER. They kept the Inn open until almost 11 PM. They served up hot soup with toast and cold soda after we settled in to our room. It was such a relief after a trying day. Mike and Kayla and their son Jamison could not have been more accommodating. I recommend this Inn without hesitation. You will feel like home away from home with their hospitality.

I m starting this and I feel like I m writing to thank friends for a stay at their house.
Thank you Dave and Amy for a wonderful stay at your Inn. You both are so warm and welcoming. We loved staying at your Inn. We made some incredible memories and can t wait to come back just to stay here.
From the moment you walk in you are embraced with warmth and family cheer. The Inn with all its history is full of love and quaint British/country charm which makes you feel like you are a guest at a friends house. The Inn is impeccably maintained. The room we stayed in was cozy and clean, with a comfortable bed. Would recommend everyone to try the local apple cider that is on tap. Our daughter loved the fresh popcorn and homemade cookies. The Vermont Inn checks every box in my book on an excellent place to stay. The atmosphere, service and amenities are all A+.

Best time ever!!! We celebrated my daughter's 13th birthday with two of her friends and they had a blast and want to go back... Love this place, it's so relaxed, laid back and very welcoming. I can't thank them enough for how great they made our stay and visit...

I recently retired as a paramedic/police officer in Ct. I needed time away from the hectic surroundings I worked in for nearly 45 years.

After a close friend suggested that I visit Vermont, I made reservations at the Vermont Inn and I was so pleased of the outcome. Immediately I was introduced to Kayla when she answered the phone to take my reservations. She was not only helpful but made my first experience in Vermont one I will not forget.

The day of my arrival, I had arrived early and Kayla invited me to stay for breakfast while the room was being prepared. The breakfast was delicious and the waiter who appeared to be around 8-10 years old (Jamison) was a true professional.

Kayla and her husband Mike and their oldest son Jamison made me feel like a family member they have known for a life time. The room was very clean and very comfortable.

I would highly recommend anyone who travels in this area of Vermont, stay at this cozy, hidden gem during your visit. You won t regret it!!!

I will make it a monthly trip to Vermont and stay at the Vermont Inn. Not only for the character of an old building, but because of these great, caring individuals that run the Inn.

Thank You Kayla/Mike and Jamison for a well deserved wonderful time. I look forward to my next visit in September. Until we see each other again, please stay safe and healthy. Jerry Retired 077.

Great stay here last weekend, 11/15 - 11/17. The rooms were clean, large and very comfortable. The inn keepers, Amy and her husband were the best! Very helpful and friendly. The staff was as friendly as the inn keepers. I highly recommend The Vermont Inn to anyone looking for a warm, welcoming experience.

What an absolute gem! We ve stayed in lots of hote...

What an absolute gem! We ve stayed in lots of hotels/inns around the world, but The Vermont Inn has easily leaped into one of our favorites. After a cancelled Disney trip due to COVID-19, and the loss of a very close family member in June, we decided to book The Vermont Inn just for a chance to disconnect and get away from all that had been thrown our way this year. We are so glad we did, as it was exactly what our family needed right now.

From the moment you pull in, you re greeted by the beautiful mountain-view that The Vermont Inn overlooks. The building is an old converted farmhouse. It is well maintained, and is carrying on some of the beautiful, unique characteristics of a building its age.

The lobby feels homey, and there are plenty of communal/social areas including a lounge with lots of children s movies to choose from, an adorable pub-style bar, and a dining area for breakfast. The innkeepers, Kayla and Mike, were incredibly welcoming giving us a tour and offering an abundance of freshly baked cookies every day. Mike built us a campfire on our second evening and provided us with all the fixings to make s mores!

We stayed in the Windham Suite on the second level. The room was the perfect size for our family of three (two adults, one child). It was clean, cozy, and had air conditioning. There was a gas fireplace as well, which makes me want to return in the winter just to utilize and appreciate it! The queen bed was a bit uncomfortable, but doable. The mattress on the pull-out couch that my daughter slept it was actually surprisingly very comfortable!

The bathroom is huge in this particular suite! The jetted bathtub was much larger in person than it looked in the booking photos (which was okay by us!) We used it a lot, and it was one of our favorite amenities to the suite. The shower was a great size, and the water pressure was perfection.

The hot tub was closed due to COVID-19, but the pool remained open. We used it every day during our stay. It was clean and well-maintained.

There is a sauna which was also kept very clean. It was easy to use, and very relaxing; especially after a cold swim.

Continental breakfast is included, or you can order a country-style breakfast for a very reasonable price. We ordered the country-style breakfast, and Kayla, the innkeeper, cooked for us. The food was delicious there was no need to check out breakfast spots as the breakfast here was great!

On our last day, we asked for a late checkout which they were happy to allow. We went down to give our goodbyes and gratitude, and Kayla had a container of still-hot, freshly baked cookies waiting for us. We enjoyed them all on our drive home.

All-in-all, the hospitality at The Vermont Inn has set the bar high for our future vacations. We were so impressed by Kayla and Mike s ability to maintain such a high level of care and thoughtfulness throughout our entire trip. We left feeling like we made new friends and a new favorite place. We will return one day!
