Seriously rude owner, myself & friends are not terribly keen on returning. Eccleshall is a small town & word spreds quickly. He did eventually apologise hence the 3 & not 1 star. We shall see what the future holds.

Enjoyed sitting by the open fire watching the passing traffic and pedestrians.

Lovely atmospheric pub. Great food. Friendly staff. Real fire. My only problem was lack of parking as it's on a busy street in the middle of the town centre . Once I found somewhere to park....excellent.

Excellent service, very welcoming and fantastic food!

A proper pub. With proper beer plus the usual improper beer. Would be 5 stars, but they have barstools at the bar which means you have to excuse yourself between a pair of locals to get served. I'm new to the area, so it's a bit inconvenient to get served.

We visited the Bell Inn on a Sunday morning and met Gary the landlord. Based at the heart of the picturesque and quaint Eccleshall I hadn't been inside before but had often passed it seeing lots of people there. I was amazed to find it was a real gem and Gary was a delight.

Traditional pub decor in this ancient coach house with lots of quirky drawings and locals photos took me back to times past with pubs at the heart of the community.

We had a full English breakfast accompanied with entertainment from Gary. The selection of beers available including real ales is impressive. A very pleasant start to the day.

Very nice place based on the high street in Eccleshall good selection off beers and wines good food has bands playing occasionally quiz night dog friendly.

Sells great range of real ales and loves to support local breweries lovely traditional public house well worth a visit .

The guy behind the bar was efficient and friendly, the drinks were good and reasonably priced and the live music was excellent. The only downside was the foul language of a small group of people. Hopefully that is not a regular occurrence.

L have to say as l only drink ale the bell offers a good selection of ales at a reasonable price and you cant go wrong with the customer service there l would recommend the bell to anyone.

Lovely friendly local pub, warm welcome and nice atmosphere. Not really for families.

Steakn night on Wednesday bote of good wine ,not house and choice of steak for two 30pound excellent
