Always a favorite. They had churro french Toast. Two of my favorite things together
Always a favorite. They had churro french Toast. Two of my favorite things together
Great place, great food! I look forward to the specials like the smoked pork belly bacon at brunch. Simply delicious!
I always enjoy my experience at Tower Cafe, good food and a beautiful outdoor seating area which is an oasis during the summer.
They have a lot of funky stuff on the walls. Outdoor seating is a nice green area. The plates are large. Everything is very clean and the food is good. I recommend the home fries.
This is probably my favorite place to eat. I love the decor, and when the weather is nice I love sitting outside. The staff is always nice, and even tho there is often a wait, it never seems to last too long. I usually go for breakfast and get the Oaxacan eggs mole, and we pretty much always get French toast to share, because it's a lot, but it's delicious.
Our server was attentive and always checked on us. We ate dinner and had cocktails too! then it was time for dessert! The tiramisu is the BEST!!! Creambrule delicious too...BUT the diablo was dry.
WOW! This place NEVER disappoints. There s a reason there s a wait to get seated! The service is always friendly. Quality and taste of food is on point. A staple for Sacramento! I always bring my out of town guests here!
Love sitting at the outdoor patio and enjoying a tasty treat.
Tower Cafe is an iconic restaurant in Sacramento. Whether eating in the lush outdoor garden or the gallery-like dining room with its abundance of art and treasures, the food runs from good to superb, and the dining experience is a treat.
Very decorative but busy environment! Food is pricey but well worth it for a date night! Our waiter was very friendly and attentive.
The Tower Cafe is an iconic Sacramento casual dining spot.
Eclectic decor, extensive menu, and great atmosphere for Family, Friends or both.
The Staff are great but expect a wait for any additional things after your main order during peak hours.
We prefer to dine outdoors but it is a popular choice so we do not always get it.
Absolutely love this place I always recommend the Tower Cafe to anyone looking for a great breakfast. When they say their French toast is famous they are not joking because that dish is something serious. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with some astounding artwork and the outside patio is filled with all kinds of exotic trees and plants. You have to go here if you want a taste of Sacramento.
Absolutely fantastic restaurant inside this Historical building.
Always a good time and great food! Definitely worth my 2 hour drive to get there.
Interesting atmosphere, pretty good food...very cultured
Great food. Affordable prices. Beautiful location. What more can you ask for when choosing a brunch restaurant?
Very well flavored food. The Italian soda is fantastic.
The atmosphere of this restaurant is truly luxurious and the view of the city that slowly lights up is truly priceless.
Great meals and excellent service, highly recommended!
Food is always absolutely delish! Been going here for YEARS. If there is a line ...it is well worth the wait!
Eggs Tower. Get extra crispy potatoes! Delicious! A must for brunch!
To start, the ambiance is fantastic. The walls are decorated in worldly trinkets and the patio is kept intimate with numerous plants. The menu is fantastic! It was so hard to choose an entree. We started with Pom frites, elote del calle (grilled sweet corn with mayo and Parmesan), split the jerk chicken (which has a perfect touch of cinnamon spice) and finished with devil's cake (rich chocolate cake). The entire meal was DELICIOUS. I recommend sharing so you can get a taste of everything!
Fabulous spot, very good food and service, terrific ambience. Highly recommend. Perfect for brunch, eat outside if you can. Excellent bloody Mary!
Great place for a first date. Hope I'm back there on our tenth date with her, Barbara.
Great place, food is decent, slightly overpriced for what it is though, the deserts are amazing!!
I'll return friends next time. The bill was reasonable. Food and atmosphere reminds me of Kansas City.
Great place for breakfast! This was highly recommend by our Uber driver and he was not wrong. The place is kitschy and has a great feel to us. The staff are knowledgeable about the menu and they are ok with substitutions. Good gluten free options. The coffee is great too.
Had breakfast first time there and they got me I will go back and I love the outside makes you feel like a vacation
Tower is reaalllly pricey for a diner. I appreciate their healthy options on the menu, like the substitution of egg whites or a fruit salad. It's just unfortunate that the substitutions make your meal so much more expensive.
That being said, I always end up returning. I love their kooky and kitschy decor, their friendly wait staff, and their daily specials. I love the ambiance. As crowded as this place gets, the placement of the tables and decor always manages to make your breakfasts feel like your table still have privacy.
Warning: Parking can be a killer in the morning and there is a perpetual line.
All of it was Great...except finding it and the parking...out behind restaurant. The food was Exceptional, tasting and hot. Service was excellent. Lots to see inside and the outside garden is beautiful. We had the French Connection at first did not seem like enough food...but it was filing n scrumptious. Try it you'll love it!
Fun atmosphere, good food, awesome patio, (not good coffee ). I can never decide between the custard french toast, and the cornmeal pancakes!!!
Went with coworkers for safety reward breakfast. Suggested by one of the employees. Wait time was minimal, decor was bohemian busy. I rather enjoyed that, service was accommodating. These are the PROS.
Food was NOT fresh! I did not have a great variety to choose from because of my dietary life choice, so Potatoes & Fruit are my GO TO if I'm going to participate.
Tower House potatoes were dry, mildly seasoned, the onion was like the papery layer that protects it from drying out. The melons were mushy & water was tap.
Not a place I would return to or recommend. Unless you want to FEED YOUR EYES... as I said decor was bohemian busy.
Love this place! It had been a staple for my family and friends since high school. Then I moved away. So imagine my surprise when - 20 years later - I moved back to find this place still very relevant. With a huge and diverse menu, generous portions, great service, gorgeous patio, and a decor I can only describe as some mix of tropical colonialism meets bohemian eclectic - and it all somehow narrowly escapes "cluttered" - this remains, perhaps not so surprisingly, a staple of my family and friends.
Great food, reasonably priced, fast and friendly service.
Great spot... I love their French toast and monte cristo
Food good as usual. Noise level moderate to high inside. Can be difficult to carry on a conversation at times.
If you've never eaten here, you are missing out. The food is tremendously good. Eaten breakfast here many times. Today I did lunch, Korean Fried chicken, it was so tasty. Flavor sweet and spicy w/jasmine rice and a refreshing apple/cabbage slaw. My guest had the Jerk chicken. Amazing. Service was extremely good. Check it out.
Great atmosphere with decoration from all over the world. I had the South African Vegetarian Burger and it was out of this world. Our server was very attentive even though (as always) it was very busy. I was with a party of 8 and we were all able to find something on the menu to eat even though our tastes and dietary restrictions and preferences varied widely. We had the chips and salsa for an appetizer, which I highly recommend because it has two salsas, a bean dip and a guacamole. I really liked the bean dip because it tasted like a Taco Bell bean burrito with red sauce, but that might just be a me thing. I really enjoyed my entire experience at Tower Cafe and I cannot wait to eat at this fantastic restaurant again!
Have eaten here a couple times in the past with no problem. However, today was a different story. Ordered pancakes with a side of scrambled eggs. Waited an extraordinary amount of time for the order to come up (a busy Saturday morning so they get a pass). When the order arrived, the eggs were cold. Sent the eggs back. Waited another extraordinary amount of time, and the eggs came back with 2 large curly hairs on top. Beyond disgusting!!! No offer to comp the breakfast. My last time at the Tower Cafe.
Food was great! Service was very good & the ambiance was incredible!
Loved it and will go back when I'm in Sacramento.
The Best!!! Awesome food, great service & funky, eclectic & lively atmosphere.m
A friend recommended this to me! Super glad they did! Best outdoor patio - no wonder they got the award! Very pretty and if you get cold easily they have those heaters outdoors available. It was a nice day so I opted to sit outside. I got the brewed coffee and Huevos Rancheros. Yumm! So full though I couldn't even finish the potatoes.
Inside was beautiful and colorful. JFYI there's only two bathrooms. Also really nice inside too.
The Caribbean salad is unique...slivered golden beets were a genius touch.
Always loved love the tower Cafe at every visit. One thing today, I ordered the eggs Benedict that I've had before and altiugh my egg and ham were tasty, the muffin was hard to cut through and shouldn't have been that much work. I know they were and are always busy, but as that is often, this should have not happened. I will continue to go back because I do enjoy it overall.
Extensive menu with a South American theme. Plus an interesting selection of cocktails and luscious sweet treats. Misses the 5th star due to average espresso coffee, served in cold tea style cups
The French toast and the Eggs Benedict are awesome, just to mention a few. Been going there for years and never disappointed. And never have to wait long, even when big line. If you want to beat the line, get there between 8 and 9:30am.
Eclectic surroundings in and outside. Food mix of Italy & Mexico food, the Best ! And the service, You wish you had such Friends. Shoot out to my server No.
Traveling alone for work and was looking for a unique spot. So happy I found Tower Cafe! So much variety to the menu there is bound to be something for everyone.
The tuna melt was delish! Had a side of pumpkin squash soup which was very nutmeggy (though the seeds were slightly over toasted). Fries were thick and fresh and perfectly salted. I washed it down with a BlackBerry Mango hot tea which was DELIGHTFUL! I was too full to have dessert there but couldn't pass up the opportunity. Brought a slice of carrot cake back to the hotel and was super impressed with how scrumptious it was. The cream cheese icing was super light and not that overly sweet type. It was crusted with the perfect amount of pecans to give it a nice crunch.
I wish I visited Sacramento more often just so I could better enjoy more of the menu as well as sit outside in the quaint garden. Though there were lots of heaters, I'm too wimpy to withstand any cold.
Well done, Tower Cafe!
We had an amazing breakfast here. The servings are large and delicious. Although very busy the service was great.
The way how the restaurant was decorated made me as if i was in a far away land, very well done!
Beautiful there. But pricey.
Indoor outdoor seating.
Food is delicious.
Was lucky enough to have to only wait an hour to get seated. Very packed on Brunch hours and holidays (went memorial day). Very scenic decor and environment around the outdoor seating and the indoor seating was nice and spacious. Servers are often attentive and informative with the food they serve and have good recommendations for drinks and entrees. Absolutely no complaints with the food, everything felt fresh and tasted great, their signature cocktails are worth trying as well. Photos attached should be enough to whet the appetite if you're looking to come here for brunch. I'd definitely say it's worth it and would come again.
Good service, beautiful garden view outside, and the inside is like a traveler's cafe with decorations from around the world. And of course, the food was delicious
Great location for brunch, or any meal of the day really. Loads of charm with both inside and outside seating. Huge portion sizes, so sharing is definitely an option here. But the food is so good that you'll likely want it all to yourself.
This was my first time here and I enjoyed every minute. The food was great, I got the Asian salad, and tiramisu. I love the environment, the food and the service.
This place is absolutely one of my favorites. The service here is great. Prices were fair.
Was here at around 9am for breakfast and had Egg Tower and Monte Cristo, really good and will order again.
