Average coffee, less than average service, quite rude. Bring back the mermaid

Very busy day today. However fast service. Just not too sure about the London prices here. Hence the 4 stars.

A lovely cafe right on Lancing Beach, tea tasteda bit urni and coffee was ok...cakes looked amazing but tasted ok.....

Indifferent waitress, dirty cutlery, confusing menu, no Buddha bowls, wine on tap is just wrong! The food was good, but honestly not worth the hassle. Won't go again

Amazing location right on the beach so you can eat watching the waves. The food and service are both excellent. Very family friendly environment too.

Very nice, modern beach cafe far from all the hustle and bustle. Good food, good coffee, fair prices.

Using the kiosk this visit. I explained that because I'm deaf I wouldn't be able to hear them call my order number. To my amazement Kadie stepped back, removed her facemask and said 'no problem, stay where I can see you' I had no problems ordering cos it's really easy. To my astonishment her colleague came out, with my food order and a takeaway cup with condiments, sauces, napkin, knife and fork! Of course the food is excellent but I'm really taken with the kindness and courtesy of the service - and 5 deaf awareness. Thanks so much, a very pleasant surprise

The food was excellent but I was not impressed with the staff, not one member had a smile for a customer. The wait for the teas and coffees was not acceptable at all.

In theory this place is great, good looking venue, nice vibe, right by the beach... but it is always so busy we ve rarely get a seat. One of those places that are too popular for their own good! Location by the beach is excellent though; great for a hot chocolate on the beach watching the sunset.

We've been here a lot and it's pretty good.
Top Marks for the coffee, the food is a little pricey but the surroundings more than make up for it.
Dog, family and disabled friendly. It can get very busy on the sunny days.

Amazing views with simple good quality British food such as Burgers, Fish and Chips...

Long waits for drinks and sometimes waitress omitted part of order. Friendly staff though, seemed overworked! Lovely food. Reasonably priced.

Very good location, friendly staff, expensive and below average food

First time and I have to say I'm very impressed overall. Spoke to the owner and he was very nice. The decor is just right, the use of tablets to take orders is cool and the portion sizes are good! Good food!
If you're a dog lover then, then this is heaven, and right by the beach!
Great views, good food and a whole beach to play!
Also, l like the fact that there's a large public car park next to the restaurant.

Ordered fish fingers sandwich and I was positively surprised. The fish wasn't too fried or oily, the bread was fresh, soft and crispy and the sauces were also good quality. Enough quantity to satisfy a grown man. And the chips could have been some of the nicest I had in the UK in the past 6 years.

Quite an experience. Very busy and noisy but in a good way. Good food, great coffee and an amazing view. You will either love it or hate it but you must try it.

$ days in Worthing equals 3 breakfasts and one homegoing lunch on last day. Love it there and always look forward to going there. Excellent friendly service and lovely - slightly different - food - but always delicious.

Crowded usually but it's on the beach so what would you expect. Beer good and everyone seems to love the food. It's a good venue for friends to meet but you will have to push and shove in the school holidays on a warm day.

Elf from the movie Elf was wrong when he found the worlds best coffee, it's actually indeed the perch!, drop your tea cups and get down to the perch, stunning views, hunky chefs, what else could you ask for! to die for :)

Oh my. The hot chocolate is a dream or a diabetic's nightmare. Honeycomb and toasted marshmallow. Damn.

Busy . Lots of people many with young children and/or dogs. Right on the beach. Only had coffee and chips so cannot comment on the restaurant part.

Whether you eat in or get takeaway from the hatch it is always good. Pizzas are flavoursome the churros and ice cream you just have to have again and again.

Pros - nice view of the sea.

Negatives - expensive for what they offer, stop serving food at 3pm, staff are inattentive and not welcoming.

Nice to visit once for the view but not worth returning to.

Expect to wait for a long time for a cold coffee. This place is all style over substance.

Had lunch here. Beautiful view; friendly, helpful staff; tasty food a great deal of which can be made gluten free. Nice to have a choice but I was a bit disappointed when I was told they could make gluten free fish and chips... then it came without any batter! Still very enjoyable though.

Lovely food we had sunday lunch I had beef which was great some else had ham and another had chicken and they all enjoyed , bit noisy but good atmosphere ,dog friendly

Visited The Perch yesterday evening, a very disappointing and irritating experience. Waiting staff did a good job under the circumstances. The manager on duty that evening was a very rude and pedantic creature. He was not being very professional, used his own opinions in a situation where he should have put these to one side. As to the food, menu is the same as it was last year when I lasted visited. The food that was served was nearly cold and one thing I do not like is nearly cold chips. Sorry but not very impressed overall and our party have decided we will not be returning ever again.

Great location with views over the beach. Food is pretty good, if on the expensive side.

My only real complaint is about the acoustics. Something about the design of the inside makes it hard to hear when it's busy.

Do not come here if you want breakfast.

Come here if you want to wait 10 minutes to be served.
Come here if you want to wait 15 minutes for HOT DRINKS.
breakfast is actually served until 11am and not 11:30 as stated.
Basically, do not come here
go to shoreham airport instead, much better service with no stuck up staff.

Good food, a little pricey for what you get and we had a long wait (but that just shows it was busy!!) Could do with more high chairs and a little cramped. Staff courteous.

Seven of us had the most enjoyable Boxing Day 'The Perch' breakfast. Oh, by the way, the coffee is the best on the South Coast.
