The Surf Club Mooloolaba Review

Nice view, nice food especially the squid salad. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Staff were fantastic, Food very nice, punting area very friendly, for a guy with a toothache, drinks flavoursome and very accomadating.

My favourite place to go to any time also to take visitors from overseas or interstate.
I recently had a function in a private area to celebrate the life of my husband who passed away very recently. I can not speak highly enough of the staff who helped my daughter organise the afternoon, also the staff who helped with food and drinks.The venue was perfect for this occasion. Thank you to everyone involved.

Prawn entree was the bomb had to get another with extra bread it tasted that good

Absolutely horrible food. Chicken burger that tastes like fish, the worst steak sandwich ever presented on a plate. Not sure where on a chicken the meat came from but it sure isn't breast meat and the "steak" was a dried up flat bit of meat. Everything came out cold so you can really appreciated the congealed fat flavours.
Save your $40 and give it a big miss.

This place surprised me. Had really nice cold tap beer and a great fish and chips. Big portions.

Awesome location for a wedding. The view is amazing. Book your wedding on a full moon and watch it rise out over the ocean in front. I love photographing weddings here, the staff are fantastic!

Food was delicious. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The staff has told us where to order food and drinks because we need to order them separately areas.

This is the perfect location to take family who are holidaying on the coast. Its right on the beach at Mooloolaba. The meals are a little expensive but if you are watching your pennies, grab a drink and some nibbles and watch the sunset over the water!

Great place to meet up with friends and the steak sandwich is to die for. Very nice.

Service was complicated as you are given a table number, the you go back to the front desk to pay and order. Fish and chips was limited to one type of fish in the standard beer battered style. Was pretty average. Have to get your own utensils situated near the entrance. Other seafood was very limited. Not happy at all considering we traveled an hour based on recommendations just to have the fish and chips.

Great location with a fantastic view of the beach, but if you want a table near the window you have to get there early. Staff are very friendly. The food is reasonable with good size meals.

Great location right on the beach. The food is quite good and there is a good selection of beers. The noise by the singer however is way too loud; when being seated the wait-staff even mentioned how many people request not to be near the live entertainment.

Terrible. Rib fillet steak was tough, the side salad was the best part of my meal, and even the lettuce was rubbery. The barramundi was soggy and tasteless, best part of this dish was the canned semi-dried tomatoes in the underlying vegetables. Never mind the carvery "roast potatoes". Mojitos were almost passable. Will never return.

First meal in Mooloolaba. There is something about having fish and chips next to the beach. I enjoyed the meal, however, it was slightly too oily for me. The oysters were small but juicy.

While on holidays at Mooloolaba, we heard great things about the surf club. The night we went was quite busy and popular. We signed in and there walked through and they immediately found us a table for 4. I went through and placed my dinner order and it was delivered to our table very quickly. Lucky for me I spotted the roast bar on the way to order, which was super delicious and good value. We ordered kids meals and they also got an ice cream which made their day. Overall a great experience.

Nice place, they give you large portions of food and the views are amazing. Friendly staff and some nice entertainment if you want a go at the pokies.

Don't understand why people are saying this place is overpriced, we found our meals good value and tasty. Overall very satisfied.

You are supposed to be a hospitality industry, this was a few years back, I just edited it, recently i went again, like a zoo,hundreds brats running around and the prices are now good restaurant prices, small portions but very tasty

Rude and arrogant staff right from the entrance .Some of the young girls act as if they are serving free meals.

Was on holiday over Xmas and New Year Fantastic place

We had a very nice lunch here. The food was very good, the view over the beach fantastic, the environment was great. All in all a good location for a first date. Very pleased

The food we order were 2 stakes one with chips just a joke don't eat the food there

A very nice airey lounge where we had a good coffee. We found the photos on the walls very interesting giving the achievements & history of the Surf Club from way back. A very pleasant afternoon was spent there.

3 stars all for the views guys that's all I can rate about the place food was very mediocre nothing to be impressed except for the view and service so come for a few drinks and the view but will skip the food next time.

We attended the club on two nights and one lunch when we were up the coast this week. We had lunch yesterday with friends and it was good. Parking is a nightmare. Table seating was a bit hit and miss as people just walked in and sat anywhere. I saw some move a reserved sign. Position is fantastic view wise.

Didnt realise you could carry a baby on your hip and buy a beer at the bar at the same time. And having really small kids rolling and playing on the floor right near bar service was allowed! Am all about " family friendly" but that was a different level.

Ok venue just no smoking area where you can have your drink.
Go stand on the street and smoke... but Finnish you drink first as you can't take it with you.

Pretty damn hard to beat the views you get. Overlooking the popular Mooloolaba beach, you can't help but enjoy a frosty cold beer overlooking the beautiful ocean.

Wonderful. Everything that you could possibly want for brekkie! Serve yourself. Lashings of bacon. Even steak and kidney. 5 types of juice. Easy free parking. A magnificent ocean beach view to die for. Why can't someone do that here in New Zealand?

Spent the day out with Mum n my sister, best views of the beach and ocean, meals were delicious and reasonably priced.

We never get tired of this place, beautiful view, relaxing atmosphere and great food!

My wife and I were very pleased with our recent experience here. Even though they initially got my order wrong, after I spoke to the manager they gladly brought out a new plate with the correct order. The manager even offered us a free dessert, and it was perfect. These are people who know how to do customer service well!
