Very wonderful classic place. The staff are accommodating. Amenities are a little bit old but the hot and cold shower did well. It seems to be a bit older hotel. The ambience and architecture was great, not to mention the interior design of the bar and function was awesome. The price was 3300 but i was able to pay for 2200 pesos booked online, but had no free breakfast. The proximity is good. A mcdonalds, starbucks, seattles best cafe, kenny rogers, and 7,11 convenience shop were. Just a few steps away. Just two floors and i didnt see an elevator. The tv was quite small though but definitely Worth the money.

The place has a great location and super accessible. This hotel has become regular venue for our meetings and workshops. The staff are courteous and helpful. A bit old hotel, Sulo Riviera needs some improvements in ventilation and lighting. Lunch served was just so-so, a bit salty for my taste. However, the morning snack- ensaymada, a local delicacy was superb! Make sure you try it to see for yourself.

This is a medium sized hotel located at the rear of Quezon City Hall. It has a cafe, a lounge and of course rooms. This place can be a good and relatively cheap weekend getaway. The rooms and amenities are ok and better than what can generally be expected from a 3 star hotel. There's parking at the front.

Homey vibes. Sulo's age is evident with the weak wifi connection, aging television, and smell of aging furniture. However, we had a great stay. The breakfast buffet is also okay. Recommended for those people who want to experience a slightly "alta de sociedad" feel.

A newly renovated hotel, but it didn't lost its old charm. Known and loved by a lot of people especially VIP ones. Rooms can be pricey but totally worth it it. Excellent service and delicious food.

I was going to give 1* right off the bat at the moment we arrived at the hotel because of the staff (initials starts with A) working at the front desk. I was carrying my crying daughter in my arms while checking-in because she obviously wanted to rest. While at the front desk, instead of accomodating us right away, Alfie decided to his time and use his cellphone to text someone while smiling (which by the way, I didn't mind at all at the beginning not until I realized that he is taking so long to finish his conversation). Anyway, I asked him how much longer it will take before he even gave me all the paper works that are already orepared in front of him. Yes, it was already prepared and he prioritized to use his cellphone instead of just giving us the documents right away. Our relatives staying at hotel as well mentioned that they dealt with him topl and they had a similar experience. I suggest that you keep your hands off your cellphone while working Mr. Receptionist.

Anyway, we stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights and was able to try out 3 different rooms (queen size bed room and double bed room at the first floor and then a double bed room at the 2nd floor) in December 2016. All I can say is that the beds were not comfortable, the place is loud because of really bad soundproofing (you can hear even the screaming and swearing staff while walking along the hallway as well as the sounds from the event halls) and the shower area is either really cold or really hot.

I will add 1* because we like the food and the other staff we encountered were nice.
I don't remember this place being poorly run by the staff in 2012, because this was actually our hotel during our church wedding. The rustic feel of the place is great but a little bit of upgrades won't hurt at all.

Rustic & Good. Hearing bad things about this place but what I experienced is something different. I was here for a wedding venue and their food, setting and service is great! I enjoyed it. I've checked their room rates but it seems pricey though..

Downgrading to one star. We came in to the restaurant and nobody served us despite several attendants milling about. Our high tea was taking ages and we were starved so we paid for the tea and cancelled the food.

Has not aged well. The halls and rooms are degraded. Function rooms are okay. This used to be a great place with good food.

Very hard to stay in hotel that gives u the impression that they excellent and then you find out that they are cheating in the photos they publish for there rooms and its status. Very old rooms needs total renovation .. but very nice staff .. very bad breakfast but very nice hotel environment .. the management is totally out of experience ..

Sulo renovated beautifully. The lobby, restaurant and rooms are beautiful. The staff strives to keep it clean. It is an old building though, so there were various critters in our room. A big disappointment was their kitchen. We are vegetarians, but the kitchen staff, despite our repeated explanations, never understood. First they served us lumpiang sariwa w chicken and pork. They said they would replace it, but when it came back it still had pork and chicken. They also served us lasagna that they assured us was vegetarian, but it had beef. On another occasion, they proudly served us a big platter of steamed vegetables each-- with a big slab of fish beside the vegetables.

For a four star hotel I'm am disappointed with this. Specifically with the bathroom they do need to renovate them. Molds and mildew are all over. They may clean it everytime but that's just a band aide. Towels as rough as a rug. And to pay for a premium price and to get a 19" TV how could you enjoy your stay here? Oh by the way 1/4 of the swimming pool is a stage platform that's the shallow end so sorry kids no swimming in this hotel

Enjoyed

This hotel is already a bit old. But it has spacious and clean rooms. The decoration is classy and cute. And the reataurant has the best food a mile around. I love this place and always come here when i want to hang out with friends in Quezon.

I visited this hotel in Dec 2015. I had a horrible experience with the management and the environment of the hotel. While the hotel was absolutely gorgeous with great food and staff, it went south at night. There was a wedding party at the party room which was located 3 doors away from my room. I called the staff at 10pm, 11pm, and they assured me the noise would be reduced at 11pm when the wedding is over. I kept calling as I could not sleep, the karaoke, the loud noise of people was very frustrating for a traveler in Manila. The staff did not know what they could do for me. At 12am, the noise was subdued. But there was still a thumping sound outside, which the staff explained to me was due to a club outside the hotel. They then agreed to move me to a quieter location on the other end of the hotel. After the move, I was able to sleep.

The next day, I spoke to the manager about the situation and while he apologized, he would not give a discount or any compensation for my grief. While he apologized, I don't think he really cared that a customer could not sleep at night and said they offered me a room at 12am. I don't think it's fair to expect a traveler to only expect to sleep at 12am. I told him I would write a bad review on social media and he said "ok." Very shocking.

So -- if you are looking to sleep, I would not ever recommend this hotel. Ever. If you are looking for a hotel with a management that cares about your needs, I would not recommend this hotel. Ever.

The reason I gave it a 3 star rating is simply because it is a 3 star establishment, not 4 as they advertise. If it were a 3 star place it would have gotten 5 stars from me. The Entrance the Lobby and swimming pool area look like they belong in a 4 star establishment, however, as soon as you start walking through the valley of the shadow dea.... wait what? Scrape that for now. If you'll end up staying there (which I don't advise against) you'll know exactly what I mean, because the place sheds of a star as soon as you enter the hallway. Looks like they spent the budget on the main area, and had to make due with what was cheaper. From the doors to the thickness (or lack-there-of) of the walls, and windows from the TV to the tiles, everything feels cheap. The room is spacious, as is the bathroom, the staff is friendly and in the area u can easily find within walking distance a Micky D, KFC, Starbucks, Bugger King and a few other reputable local franchises.
In conclusion, if you are attending a wedding ceremony at the Masonic Temple Building down the street, or visiting someone at the hospital this is probably your best bet. I just feel that the 4 star rating is not deserved and I doubt that ther is any maintaince work that can fix the state of the hallways, bathrooms and noise cancellation.
