Worst service I've ever had at a cafe in Melbourne in 15 years I've lived here. Two of us arrived and told a table was 15 mins. Waited 30 then got seated at the arse end of a share table, of which the two seats had been free for at least 20 mins. Could see quite a few tables empty whilst other groups waited. Food took 50mins to arrive. We would have left earlier but the waitress told us twice the food was 5 mins away. Food pretentious. No offer of free drink until we were at the cash register. Bit late mate. STAY AWAY.

Delightful coffee and food. Enjoyed the hot pot noodles on a cold winter's day and thoroughly enjoyed the coffee. Lovely ambience, great service and a very interesting story. Well worth a look!

Excellent, ethical food and service. A wonderful way to support the local community. There's something truly special about fresh baked bread and roasted coffee. The fact the organisation is supporting young people to is phenomenal. Without a doubt worth every cent!

Although having been here a few other times and it being a favourite.. today's experience was a little frustrating.. food order took nearly 45mins to show.. and my poached eggs the smallest I have ever had.. on a positive note .. great atmosphere and easy parking :) I won't give up yet on this place.

One of the best cafes I ve visited so far and the atmosphere of streat, wow

FOOD & COFFEE: I ordered the Mochi Donuts and a soy latte and both items were perfect! The mochi donuts were so unique and so so good! The mandarins were such an amazing tart flavour, the mochi donuts had the absolute BEST texture (tbh i was afraid they might be soggy but they were so crispy on the outside and perfectly chewy on the inside), the miso caramel was such a unique and GENIUS combination bcs it was sweet with a slightly savoury umami flavour and the freeze dried mandarins were like honeycombs but 10000x times better! Truly one of the most unique, delicious and special brunch dishes I ve ever had! The coffee was also phenomenal and one of the best I ve ever had! It was brewed to perfection and had a perfectly nutty flavour and together with the creamy soy milk, I was IN LOVE!

SERVICE: Service here is amazing! They re really friendly and super chill. I also appreciated them not pushing for more coffee despite me staying there for quite abit

AMBIENCE: I usually am chill with ambience but I have to give them major props for their beautiful cafe. Even when you re inside, you re gifted with being able to see the beautiful garden that they have and they have free wifi so students, I fully recommend STREAT!

Overall, I absolutely loved Streat and would definitely come back for their other dishes and their lovely cafe + service! It s student friendly, has amazing food and phenomenal coffee. I cannot complain in any way. Collingwood is definitely an area with some of the best cafes I ve ever visited and Streat is no exception!

An Amazing meal, great coffee & the most amazing concept. This social enterprise not only has great food and coffee but does amazing work with the disadvantaged youth of Melbourne. Thank you for the amazing meal and the incredible contribution to the community

Interesting and different venue. Limited but diverse menu offering something wholesome for everyone. Children catered for with simple and tasty food. A good space for an impromptu get together with friends, plenty of space and adequate outdoor area.

Coffee was good but didn't like food! I ordered halumi beet hash and couldn't taste haloumi at all, sauce was tasty but there was only one teaspoon of it on a plate. My BF had son in law eggs and it was just eggs with peas and two pieces of okra, plus one roti, not much for 17$. Lemon slice was dry and blunt. I'm not a foodie so I might be wrong and food is amazing) venue itself is amazing and atmosphere is great

A wonderful experience! We were in the neighborhood and went to this gorgeous cafe for lunch. The staff are friendly, accommodating and attentive, the food is fantastic quality, great value and oh so delicious and the atmosphere is just delightful. We will be back again for sure!

High quality food and coffee. Breakfast menu is somewhat strange and left field. It was a nice venture out to try new things and was good. I would of rather had a simplistic choice to the menu as well as the extravagant

The menu doubles who with a interesting look into the consumption and waste stats. It was a really good read and was a great talking point

The 4 star review is based off a personal reflection to the quality to food and coffee. The sit in size of coffee available is only one. Though, the one size fits all mentality does not fit in this scenario. And for the price for what seemed as a baby chino size was a real sour point.

Overall, I would recommend, though, if out of the way travel exceeds 15 minutes, there isn t a real point.

Nice place for breakfast, brunch or lunch if you want something else different rhan bacon and egg. The decoration is nice, you can sit outside in the garden if weather is nice. The food is modern with some inspiration from Japan, Europe. However, it's a bit spicy and small portion if you are hungry.

Very pretentious food, does not cater to the common person. A glossary isn't very useful if you only define a third of your hipster foods.

Coffee was good.

$6 for some bacon - must be a royal pig!

Service very lacking! A young waiter told me to wait because he was busy even though they'd forgotten the request that was made 15minutes earlier. After the third time we had to make the request for a condiment I decided to complain. Staff acted as if I was being dramatic and it was the first time it had been brought to their attention.

No real attention to table service either. You will be left with your dirty plates until you make a scene. Same goes for water.

I note the cafe has a huge story on providing opportunities to youth who need it. I think this is fantastic, however, better training is clearly required.

Apparently no split bills on the weekend. This might be common among restaurants and cafes, but maybe it could be more clearly signed.

Good food and coffee for a good cause.

Good food and coffee for a good cause.

Customer table service is lacking as we had to wait a while before we got asked for our order.

Food portions could be a little more for the price. But I'm stingy.
