Great place for van hire. Friendly and helpful staff and a very reasonable price. I'd use them again.

Very impressed with this hire company. Hired a transit from them which was virtually brand new and very clean (a very different experience from previous rental companies). The price was excellent and the staff were helpful. I extended my initial 2-day hire to a week just by ringing them up. Would definitely use them again.

We needed a last minute car rental at a cheap price so I went on the Pavillion website and immediately had problems. Pages weren t loading, it wasn t letting me register or log in and when I finally did manage to get to the payment page and press confirm, it took me back to the first page so I had no way of knowing if my booking and payment went through. I sent an email explaining the problem and that we would be there in the morning. In the morning, my husband and I were greeted by an old man in a chaotic office which was clearly understaffed. Luckily he was expecting us, but he did not acknowledge the concerns in my email about the payment, or apologise for the problems with the website.
He had a few customers to deal with before us and we were happy to wait. He was clearly in a bad mood and did not have a pleasant way with customers. When it came to our turn of booking, I sat on the seat and my husband stood beside me. He was saying inappropriate things such as Do you have any points on your licence and when I replied no he said You ve been a good girl . When mentioning about speeding tickets etc he said any speeding or parking fines will be liable by you so don t be a naughty girl . I am a 31 year old woman with my husband standing right beside me! My husband could have commented on this but we simply wanted a smooth transaction and to get out of there. The old man, whose name I believe was Chris, was reasonably polite to me, but blatantly aggravated and unacceptably rude to my husband any time he spoke or asked a question, rolling his eyes and speaking sarcastically. My husband asked perfectly reasonable questions and was in no way rude, yet every answer was given rudely and begrudgingly. When the car arrived, we went around the car checking and taking photos, but Chris angrily told us that the photos have all been done and we just have to sign the iPad. As a customer, I am well within my rights to take photos and make sure that we are not charged wrongly for any damage, as is so often the case with many car rentals. He showed us where to put the diesel in and we saw that the fuel cap was missing. Logically, we took a photograph of this just to make sure that we weren t charged for a replacement fuel cap! He became very irate at this point and told us that all modern cars come without a fuel cap. My Husband is very knowledgeable about cars and knows this is simply untrue.
Chris shook my hand when leaving, but completely ignored my husband.
There were no problems with the car itself and we had a smooth journey.
Upon returning the car, it was a very quick process. As we were leaving my husband was about to ask if the deposit would be released that day. He said So the security deposit... but was abruptly interrupted by Chris who very rudely said As I explained on Saturday it is a security deposit that gets refunded after 10 working days, it is NOT a payment!! so my husband calmly responded So you are releasing it today? and Chris replied Yes!! while walking away. We then left and our deposit was refunded within about 5 days.
In terms of the actual car, it was fine, but dealing with this man caused stress and upset and he is thoroughly unpleasant and not at all personable. He gives the impression of hating his job and his customers. He seems to like patronising and chatting to the ladies, while getting annoyed with men who ask too many (perfectly reasonable) questions. There was another younger man who worked there who was actually really nice and helpful, so I would not judge this company on one unfortunate individual who clearly should not be working there. I ve never seen anyone more desperately in need of a holiday.

Pavilion were fantastic! Great customer service, friendly and very helpful. I would definitely recommend to anyone and will be back again in the future.

Excellent service with friendly staff. We were given a free upgrade on our van rental plus an extra day and flexibility on the return time. The van was in excellent condition and when we returned it we were given a lift to the station. You can't ask much more than that. Highly recommended.

Philip and The team at Pavilion Car hire are brilliant! When ever I need a car-van-Luton they are always on hand to help. It s easy to use them and totally up front and honest. The fleet is extensive, well maintained, clean and tidy and their system for checking the vehicles is second to none, and not ambiguous (unlike some rental companies that I ve used), also fairly priced.

As a corporate customer, Pavilion in Worthing are great to work with. They offer very good rates, and the customer care and service is better than any other rental company I've used. Really friendly staff and service. They give comprehensive briefings on the vehicles and go that extra mile to make sure everything is in order. Having returned a vehicle with a scratch on the roof I know first hand how understanding they are. No fuss, just professional and caring service to sort everything out. I'd highly recommend them.

Wow. These guys were fantastic. So much so I wanted to write a review. Renting a car can be scary because there seems to be so many sneaky costs and added extras; not with these guys. Great service here with a big selection of vans available

The price compared to other local rental companies is very good and online booking is quick and simple. I needed a car at very short notice (less than 24hours) and they had one available. You are also able to pick time slots for pick up and drop off giving flexibility.
I then needed to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances and they were incredibly understanding and courteous in this matter. I will definitely be using them again in the near future and wouldn t hesitate to recommend.

Needed a van to make a delivery since my car is off the road at the moment. Booked it online and received a confirmation call on Monday, apologising for not confirming on Saturday. They didn't have the vehicle I requested so upgraded to the next one at no extra charge. Handover was so straightforward and everything was clearly explained and kept simple - no jargon here. Return the vehicle undamaged and with a full tank again and that's about it. Received confirmation via e-mail of the inspection both on collection and drop off. Really nice people to deal with and a local business as well. Highly recommended and would choose Pavilion over any of the market leaders!! Have already booked their 9 seater for the family trip to Wales. Go here for your rental because you won't regret it and extremely competitive on price.

These guys are terrific, very responsive and helpful. Also cheaper than renting from the airport. Easy train ride to Worthing and they're close by ... walk or 5 pound taxi ride. Reasonable daily rate if you need to extend. Biggest strength is very good people. I'll rent next time I fly to UK.

So grateful to the lovely people at Pavilion Car Rental! I was let down by another rental company and these guys were super accommodating at the last minute. The process was quick and easy and they even got an extra number plate printed in under an hour for my caravan! Price is also good, highly recommend this very professional company.
