Beautiful room and friendly staff. The only negative thing is..$32 a night for parking.
Beautiful room and friendly staff. The only negative thing is..$32 a night for parking.
Beautiful hotel with clean rooms. The bar is fun and the food is delicious.
Very fancy! The interior decorating is classy and the garden outside is pleasant to walk through. Ideal location next to Rice Park in downtown St Paul. Only complaint is that the rooms downstairs were a little stuffy on the warm day we visited.
Great ceasar salad. Sirloin and trout were mediocre.
Wow! Great service and excellent accommodations. Everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy a hotel like this. We took advantage of room service and the concierge. Top notch all the way around.
Came for the jazz, really enjoyed the drinks and atmosphere. Overall a great experience!
This is a class act. Attend a business meeting in the cafe and the food and service was exceptional.
Gorgeous hotel, great venue, nice rooms, but spotty WiFi diminished the experience.
It's always very nice and the staff provide great service. It is fancy! And the food at the restaurant is great.
Grand old-school hotel in downtown St. Paul. Everything it should be. Great bar/restaurant, lobby bar, and nice cafe. Great appointments and friendly and helpful staff.
A little too fancy for my liking. The place was very nice and incredibly well put together, but felt like I was at my grandmas house. Staff was very friendly, but I didn't eat anywhere on the property as it was too expensive.
beautiful hotel, slightly dated furniture, not just in a vintage style, butf also worn down.
Early 20th century refined elegance. Close to fine dining & other very good dining choices. Several historic and architecturally significant buildings nearby.
Great bartender Laura at the Gril so helpful with the information, we genuinely enjoyed her company.
Had lunch at the St Paul Grill. Excellent menu. Great food. Wonderful staff.
Great place for lunch. The buffet always has terrific options.
Great location, very good rooms and facilities, helpful and friendly staff.
Great atmosphere, attentive bartender, great food, bathrooms are located downstairs and down the hall from the bar.
Beautiful hotel and wonderful helpful staff. The main restaurant is devine!!
Stopped in to have a burger and drinks before the Wild game. Service was excellent, food was excellent, atmosphere was subdued at first but picked up as game time approached. It was $pricy$, but worth it.
I don't know what it's like to stay here. But reading in front of the fire with a martini on a cold night is one of the greatest experiences I know of.
Food was extremely salty. The hotel is decorated well though.
You need to come here for Tea service! Super fun and a five course menu with traditional tea service. Anyone can come and enjoy it. Great people watching, you can see some fun things like the winter carnival parade members, sometimes bands playing at the Xcel center and much more. You need to reserve a spot way ahead of time though. The staff is amazing and fun to talk to as well. The hotel itself is an institution and worth just coming to see. (Even the urinals have fresh ice and rolled towels- very fancy!)
It's a swanky place! I enjoyed my stay. It was quiet and comfortable.
Classy place. Nice atmosphere to grab a quick drink before an event.
Great atmosphere, attentive bartender, great food, bathrooms are located downstairs and down the hall from the bar.
The bar is amazing. Great range of Scotch and Whiskey
Hotel tried to (very incorrectly) charge us a $250 room smoking fee based on ashes found on a room service tray in the hallway and a "smell of smoke" in our room. We didn't find out until we got our bill 2 days later. Since my wife, myself nor our 3 y/o weren't smoking cigars over breakfast prior to a day at the zoo (or any other time in our lives) I tried to resolve the issue with the front desk they informed me of the detailed forensics evidence against us and if we wanted to argue about it we could wait until 10 AM when a manager would be available. After a minor emotional event a manager removed the charge, without any apology to my wife or myself (in fact the tone the entire time was that they didn't believe us). Completely unacceptable, if a 5 star hotel is going to accuse my little family of smoking cigars and charge us a night's stay over it they should have talked to us. Extremely dissapointing, completely ruined an otherwise nice visit.
Beautiful venue for work reception after conference!
The food was amazing and really good but our waitress messed up our drinks 3 times. Also pretty expensive but not too bad for what you get
So much classy charm from the top-hatted valet to gold-plated elevators.
The downstairs brunch is phenomenal.
Hands down the best hotel in Minneapolis-St. Paul. I always recommend the Saint Paul Hotel to friends, family or clients coming to Minnesota. Top notch service and great food/beverage options with the St. Paul Grill and M St. Cafe. Beautiful location on Rice Park in downtown St. Paul, steps from Xcel Energy Centre, the Science Museum and the Mississippi River.
Old fashion hosipality in a very approchable level of comfort and cost. Favorite of locals.
Four five seconds into this thing just speaking randomly I don't think
Great experience. The hotel has a restaurant and two bars at least, so no need to leave if the weather is bad. Very friendly staff, as well as nice rooms and amenities. Would definitely recommend.
Grand old hotel. No need to venture out for any creature comforts, if you want to spend the money.
Plenty of helpful staff.
Surprised however to be solicited in the vestibule for money, by a clean well dressed young man. When I pointed out that his sport shoes were nicer than mine, he left us alone.
Absolutely beautiful hotel, wonderful lobby and bar
Nice place, great location, great bartenders in the grill. Dillon behind the front desk was unnecessarily rude, though.
A great place for breakfast! The buffet is outstanding for those who want a relatively healthy breakfast.
Very nice and expensive restaurant. You cannot miss the New York cheesecake.
This hotel was just ok. We had a very small oblong room next to the elevator shaft with a double bed, but we paid the same price ($235) as a full size room with a king bed. I suppose when this place was young, (100 yrs ago), it had a nice view and grounds, but no more. Don't move the refreshments in the fridge as that act alone gets a tab on your bill. This is a $120 / night hotel at best.
Had a holiday luncheon at the M St Cafe. Food was fantastic while reasonably priced. Separate room made it a perfect option for the event.
Nice old hotel. The rooms feel more "old" than "historic." Charming building.
God this place is class elegance and service. The staff here are the most amazing tentative people. I don't know if I've ever had better service and I've stayed at the 4 seasons and Hilton 5head. Kudos Saint Paul Hotel...Kudos
Dinner on!y. The food was fantastic. Great service.
Great location, good views, really comfortable bed.
This hotel is the down right lovely and the staff is even lovelier.
Beautiful historic hotel in a great location near Rice Park, the Ordway, the Public Library, and more. Expect to pay more, but you can't beat the location.
Very nice and very accommodating. We will visit again.
Absolutely great place. If you see Wes at the bar, make sure to tell him how bad the Detroit Lions are.
Historic, elegant, and superb customer experience! I had a special circumstance traveling without my wallet (lost at airport) and no identification. The management staff was kind and professional in assisting me. The hotel is in a prime spot and gorgeous. Ate at two restaurants and the food tasted very good. Located next to Rice Park, a cool Xmas attraction - see pic.
We go every year for tea and love it. The food and service has always been exceptional. We will continue to make it a yearly tradition as long as we can.
Second time at the St. Paul Grill. Food was fantastic, wait staff was extremely attentive, and the entire experience was amazing.
Bartender are great. Wes is especially proficient in different varieties surging on the food or mood. Airways enjoy coming here after a show or visiting the park. Usually pretty busy but with the wait.
Beautiful hotel with lots to do within walking distance. We would stay here again.
Rooms were beautiful but a little dirty. Good room service. Event food was good but slow service for dairy free food
So very impressive, from seamless valet to quick, thoughtful check in to beautiful room.
Very comfortable rooms with a nice layout. Friendly staff and good overall ammenities. Also located near some good options in St. Paul!
Pay for everything. $4 Coffee in the morning none in the room.
I travel every week and usually stay in Hilton branded hotels and they are fine. I stayed at the St Paul hotel for a work event and it was amazing. Service was the best I have ever seen. Rooms were clean and had a touch of elegance. The St Paul Grill had amazing food. Best service I have ever experienced in a hotel.
Great location! Very nice decor. Great fitness room on the top floor with plenty of newer looking machines and other options. It is connected to all the skyways to many restaurants in St Paul. Lots of other things to do nearby, almost all connected by tunnel or skyways. All the staff were very nice and friendly. It was very pleasant being here.
For a couple of foodies, the in-room four course dining experience was amazing! The food was fantastic, the service was perfect, and the relaxed experience in a beautiful room was devine - especially on the (hopeful) tail end of COVID! Well done, St. Paul Hotel!
This bar is my favorite corner in St. Paul. I come here to be treated well, given perfection in glasses and served impeccably. You can too.
Excellent service. Attentive and courteous staff. Looking forward to returning on my next class.
Grand old hotel where even presidents stayed when they came to town elegant atmosphere Bar and restaurant are the finest
Gorgeous hotel, awesome bar, great service. Our professional event went wonderfully!
Very retro beautiful hotel, staff is extremely friendly.
Fabulous restaurant! We ate at the Saint Paul Grill for lunch. The wait staff is amazing very professional very nice. The food is spectacular. Not many choices for vegetarians though. Nice place to celebrate an event or to just treat yourself to a nice meal out. BTW their french fries are delicious.
