Very fancy! The interior decorating is classy and the garden outside is pleasant to walk through. Ideal location next to Rice Park in downtown St Paul. Only complaint is that the rooms downstairs were a little stuffy on the warm day we visited.

Wow! Great service and excellent accommodations. Everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy a hotel like this. We took advantage of room service and the concierge. Top notch all the way around.

A little too fancy for my liking. The place was very nice and incredibly well put together, but felt like I was at my grandmas house. Staff was very friendly, but I didn't eat anywhere on the property as it was too expensive.

Stopped in to have a burger and drinks before the Wild game. Service was excellent, food was excellent, atmosphere was subdued at first but picked up as game time approached. It was $pricy$, but worth it.

You need to come here for Tea service! Super fun and a five course menu with traditional tea service. Anyone can come and enjoy it. Great people watching, you can see some fun things like the winter carnival parade members, sometimes bands playing at the Xcel center and much more. You need to reserve a spot way ahead of time though. The staff is amazing and fun to talk to as well. The hotel itself is an institution and worth just coming to see. (Even the urinals have fresh ice and rolled towels- very fancy!)

Hotel tried to (very incorrectly) charge us a $250 room smoking fee based on ashes found on a room service tray in the hallway and a "smell of smoke" in our room. We didn't find out until we got our bill 2 days later. Since my wife, myself nor our 3 y/o weren't smoking cigars over breakfast prior to a day at the zoo (or any other time in our lives) I tried to resolve the issue with the front desk they informed me of the detailed forensics evidence against us and if we wanted to argue about it we could wait until 10 AM when a manager would be available. After a minor emotional event a manager removed the charge, without any apology to my wife or myself (in fact the tone the entire time was that they didn't believe us). Completely unacceptable, if a 5 star hotel is going to accuse my little family of smoking cigars and charge us a night's stay over it they should have talked to us. Extremely dissapointing, completely ruined an otherwise nice visit.

Hands down the best hotel in Minneapolis-St. Paul. I always recommend the Saint Paul Hotel to friends, family or clients coming to Minnesota. Top notch service and great food/beverage options with the St. Paul Grill and M St. Cafe. Beautiful location on Rice Park in downtown St. Paul, steps from Xcel Energy Centre, the Science Museum and the Mississippi River.

Great experience. The hotel has a restaurant and two bars at least, so no need to leave if the weather is bad. Very friendly staff, as well as nice rooms and amenities. Would definitely recommend.

Grand old hotel. No need to venture out for any creature comforts, if you want to spend the money.

Plenty of helpful staff.

Surprised however to be solicited in the vestibule for money, by a clean well dressed young man. When I pointed out that his sport shoes were nicer than mine, he left us alone.

This hotel was just ok. We had a very small oblong room next to the elevator shaft with a double bed, but we paid the same price ($235) as a full size room with a king bed. I suppose when this place was young, (100 yrs ago), it had a nice view and grounds, but no more. Don't move the refreshments in the fridge as that act alone gets a tab on your bill. This is a $120 / night hotel at best.

God this place is class elegance and service. The staff here are the most amazing tentative people. I don't know if I've ever had better service and I've stayed at the 4 seasons and Hilton 5head. Kudos Saint Paul Hotel...Kudos

Historic, elegant, and superb customer experience!...

Historic, elegant, and superb customer experience! I had a special circumstance traveling without my wallet (lost at airport) and no identification. The management staff was kind and professional in assisting me. The hotel is in a prime spot and gorgeous. Ate at two restaurants and the food tasted very good. Located next to Rice Park, a cool Xmas attraction - see pic.

Bartender are great. Wes is especially proficient in different varieties surging on the food or mood. Airways enjoy coming here after a show or visiting the park. Usually pretty busy but with the wait.

I travel every week and usually stay in Hilton branded hotels and they are fine. I stayed at the St Paul hotel for a work event and it was amazing. Service was the best I have ever seen. Rooms were clean and had a touch of elegance. The St Paul Grill had amazing food. Best service I have ever experienced in a hotel.

Great location! Very nice decor. Great fitness room on the top floor with plenty of newer looking machines and other options. It is connected to all the skyways to many restaurants in St Paul. Lots of other things to do nearby, almost all connected by tunnel or skyways. All the staff were very nice and friendly. It was very pleasant being here.

For a couple of foodies, the in-room four course dining experience was amazing! The food was fantastic, the service was perfect, and the relaxed experience in a beautiful room was devine - especially on the (hopeful) tail end of COVID! Well done, St. Paul Hotel!

Fabulous restaurant! We ate at the Saint Paul Grill for lunch. The wait staff is amazing very professional very nice. The food is spectacular. Not many choices for vegetarians though. Nice place to celebrate an event or to just treat yourself to a nice meal out. BTW their french fries are delicious.
