The architecture of The Getty was absolutely amazing, very clean and well thought out.
I just love the Getty! Been here several times with family and out of town guests. I take clients here, too. Everyone is always so impressed with the beautiful art. There is so much to see that it's difficult to take it all in with just one visit.
Great collection. Can t believe it s free admission. Come early though, otherwise, huge lineups even for parking.
Beautiful views and great art, what more could you ask for?
Had a fantastic time, the wait to get in wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Beautiful collection of different works. I was extremely happy to see the Monets.
The Getty is a great place to observe different artworks and the centre is free.
Beautiful art lot's to look at.The view of los Angeles was beautiful. Alot of nice European paintings.
This is the best museum I have ever been to. Not only is it FREE, but the journey to the top of the hill (where the actual museum is) felt like a trolly ride into a magical world. Great destination for half-a-day of entertainment.
Beautiful art on the inside, beautiful architecture on the outside. Well worth the parking fee. I highly recommend visiting the Getty when in LA.
This museum is quite the experience! I'd recommend setting aside a full day to fully explore the exhibits and enjoy the grounds.
Must visit for the views and the art. Free admission is a bonus too.
Who doesn't love the Getty? I go once a year and spend about five to six hours there. I always see something new and the garden just keeps getting better and better. I think everyone should visit the Getty.
So grateful for the Getty Center -- what an amazing treat for humanity. The art, the architecture, the view -- the gift. I found heaven when I stepped out of the tram!
Beautifully maintained buildings and grounds. Spectacular installations, architecture, and, of course, views. The illuminated manuscript installation was amazing! Thank you to Elizabeth Morrison, senior curator and department head of manuscripts.
Great views of the surrounding sights and good exhibits too.
Very beutifull building with so many art collection
Beautiful place. Went with my daughter a field trip. Be prepared to walk ALOT!!!!
Gorgeous views and well manicured atmosphere. Neat exhibits and wonderful experience.
The whole building itself is also a masterpiece. Need to spend at lease two days to view all the inspiring works here and their contemporary exhibition is great too.
Always love visiting there. When it's closed don't pay for parking the gates open automatically.
Exceptional collection ..fantastic architecture , in an extraordinary setting! A must see !
This place is massive, and possibly the best part about it is the architecture and the grounds. It's so nice to pack a picnic and sit on the grass for an afternoon.
It s a huge art museum. The sculpture is a bit hard to understand what the artist was trying to express.
I was blown away with the site. Absolutely beautiful facilities. Easy access. Well laid out. Something for everyone. A brilliant art collection. And...it's free.
Great view of the city with a very rich in details of the arts and statues..
First rate at every stage. The setting is breathtaking. A quality experience.
Go get cultured and educated at the Getty. Its pretty coo'
Great museum with super location and amazing views of Los Angeles. Very nice and relaxing gardens too to enjoy on a sunny day.
The museum is incredible, the staff is very professional and friendly. I'll be going again, many times. One day is not enough to see everything. The art collection is quite spectacular.
We came for the Sally Mann exhibit. This was our first visit to the Getty. We had a wonderful day! There was so much to see and I know We will be back!
Great museum and landscape...must visit for everyone visiting LA. Getty center and villa should be closed on same day though. Two different days is difficult to remember.
This was an amazing day. It exceeded our expectations and the exhibits were spectacular!
Amazing architecture and vast collection all for free
Despite the long lines,to get into the tram,my experience was good. Very educational.
Great place to spend the whole day lots of art! Very scenic views, gardens, water features. Definitely a must See.
Beautiful views. Parking is 15 or 10 after 3pm. Free tours .
The garden is cool but the art is kinda boring it's just realistic stuff or old black and white photos
I swear modern art more interesting
And it's all the same
They try too hard to be like one of the top 100 restaurants in the world or something tryhards
Oh yeah I went when there were a bunch of school kids on a field trip that might happen a lot so just beware
Really fantastic museum, and awesome that parking is the cost.
Some of the best views of LA! My daughters loved it!! Pack up for a picnic too.
Free museum with some great art, sculpture, exhibits, garden, and views. Lovely all around time here.
I attended with 7 students, and the Getty was great about accommodating our bus and making our trip easy and fun. The exhibitions are always great. I just wish that travertine wasnt so blinding in the sunlight!
Simply one of the best museum experiences in America. Phenomenal views and impressive architecture mixed with a laid back and comfortable attitude about the place.
It was our first time to visit the Getty. It was a little long on morose looking renaissance, Flemish painters and short on impressionists. The scenery and architecture were magnificent, the stale sandwich a little overpriced, but a good time was had by all.
Beautiful gardens and views of the city. Great art and architectural design.
Hard to believe they don't charge admission. Great art and culture
Great place to hangout on the weekends...kids friendly
The view and architecture are fabulous. The art collections are wonderful too.
I had a friend from outta state who s never been to Getty before. Since were both into architecture and art and she was wanting to learn how to shoot 35mm film, I figured what better place than the Getty to get the best of all of that.
We spent the gloomy day roaming around the different exhibitions, reading and studying the different mediums of art. And for the brief moment of sunshine we did get that day, we headed out to the gardens for her to practice shooting on 35mm.
We bought snacks and ate them near the fountain in the main courtyard, just enjoying the space and observing the people walking by.
We stayed till after sunset and the place continued to become more beautiful, the lighting on the buildings was incredible and the way the rain caused all the surface reflect the city lights was just gorgeous.
The Getty museum is an incredible free resource for Los Angeles. It's European art collection is one of the best in the world. My favorite was the photographic art collection. The complex itself is beautifully designed and set in the Los Angeles hills with breathe taking views of the City. The buildings and the grounds are emaculately kept. The only cost is for parking which itself is a reasonable fee.
Beautiful museum, landscaping is amazing. Very calm, peaceful& inspirational
What is peace of mind? Well come to the Getty museum for a weekend and you'll truly find out. With over 1,000 paintings with all sorts of varieties, you will truly be astonished by the Getty's inventory. The Garden is outstanding and is kept in great shape. Parking is a bit slow on weekends
Wonderful place to admire fine art and architecture!
Great art selection. They are offering guided tours for schools classes. The architecture and the view over Los Angeles is stunning.
Really cool place amazing how back then people made all of those things crazy to think about
Impressive private art collection in a wonderful museum.
My favourite art museum so far. Great variety of works but the impressionist exhibit is by far the best
I loved this place, I loved the gardens at the Getty
Great collections worth multiple visits. It's free of charge but the lines for parking/Uber pick up are long.
The sights alone are worth the detour, absolutely magnificent location with a view on LA that can't be beat. With free entrance, why not go, you will not regret it. I can't think of a better setting to see beautiful art!
Such a special place that only LA could have. Both the private collections and the rotating exhibits are truly spectacular.
Such a great collection of some of the best works of art in the world.
Great facilities and exhibits. Something here for everyone. Plan on spending the day.
OMG will go back in a blink! Amazing infrastructure and great art collections!
An amazing collection of art at the Getty Center and stellar views of LA from the grounds.
Admission is free. Parking is $20. But well worth the price. A tram takes you from the parking lot to the center. With multiple building and exhibits, one can easily spend a whole day here. We saw people with picnic lunches on the grass near the gardens.
Amazing place with tons of art!
Totally worth a stop when in LA and is free!!!
Unfortunately there was a lot people due to memorial day weekend, however it's a really nice museum overseeing all LA. Be aware that the parking costs $15.00 although the entrance is free.
Stunning exhibits in a beautiful set of buildings. Theresa and I spent an afternoon here, and saw many, but not all, of the galleries. The highlighs for me were the Monet and Rembrandts. This should be on everyone's"must see" list for a trip to LA.
The architecture, the beautiful garden and must exquisite art.
