Nice place to take visitors when in The Rocks area. Good friendly service and tasty food, the menu had some local favorites like fish&chips, kangaroo meat, steaks, halloumi stack - we ordered different things to share and everything was really good. I especially loved the corn fritters and the chorizo risotto! The upstairs hall has a nice vintage feel.

Loved it. Had fish and chips , garden salad, potato green peas basil soup and lemongrass & ginger tea :-). The salad was outstanding and the dip that came with fish and chips was to die for. The service was warm and quick.

If I were able to give this place 0 stars I would
The Rocks Cafe would easily be the worst place I have ever eaten in my life.
The food was atrocious, cold and overly expensive for a plate of terrible food.
The staff barely spoke English, didn't care about the customers, some were extremely rude and patronising; and the food was barely edible. Needless to say the food was way over priced for what we were served
I would not recommend The Rocks Cafe, would never eat there again and I would never suggest for anyone to step foot in the establishment.

Retro restaurant, very nice in the Rocks area, behind the contemporary art museum. Here we tasted the famous Kangaroo burger: FANTASTIC!
Lean meat with a strong taste (similar to game) that melts in your mouth!
They thank the taste buds.

Poor Kangaroo steak. The steak was too done and the flavour was not consistent (too cooked) and with a sauce too liquid that didn't match the dish as all. Too expensive for the quality it was served. There is plenty of other places in Sydney with similar or lower price for a better Roo. I don't recommend the place for kangaroo experience.

Great spot for a bon voyage brunch. Fantastic service and a food selection to keep everyone satisfied. David found us a table for our party of 7 and we even had time for a stroll around the rocks market before boarding the boat!! Thanks to the team for making the day stress free.

It may be famous but accidentally entered. Bolognese was just that, and fish and chips were fine. Flat white is delicious. I'm shocked by the three-star, four-star line, but the first time I've experienced in Australia, I'd like to go out if I had to pay the first floor checkout. There is no reason to visit when considering price with service charge.

Nice location, but unfortunately you pay the location as well...I had the crocodile burger; was not so happy with my decision, on the other hand, it was the first time having crocodile meat - I would not eat it again.
I don t think I would go back to the cafe there, bc the prizes are too high for what you get
However, of you choose to go there, you won t be disappointed with the tast and the staff!

We walked from a nearby hotel searching for late kangaroo dish at 9.30pm and found this place based on google ratings, luckily the waitress welcomed us in as I believe they close at 10pm. Medium rare kangaroo steak was delicious. I was supposed to award them 5 start but, they did not serve us any water and forgot one of our side dishes, in which they didn't took too long to prep when we remind them. Staffs we encountered are friendly enough.

I'm shocked to see how the restaurant is not abiding by government law and making people sit so close to each other to make money. Clearly, I have a concern about their dedication to the safety of customers. I would not recommend to go there.
