Great service and even better food. Came for dinner before the Opera House and not disappointed. Burgers and Risotto was perfect, just leave space for desert!
We loved it. They were so good with our children and the food was excellent.
Very busy with Vivid on. Very narrow between tables. Cheesecake was very nice. Burger was just a burger.
Nice place to take visitors when in The Rocks area. Good friendly service and tasty food, the menu had some local favorites like fish&chips, kangaroo meat, steaks, halloumi stack - we ordered different things to share and everything was really good. I especially loved the corn fritters and the chorizo risotto! The upstairs hall has a nice vintage feel.
Loved it. Had fish and chips , garden salad, potato green peas basil soup and lemongrass & ginger tea :-). The salad was outstanding and the dip that came with fish and chips was to die for. The service was warm and quick.
Reasonable prices and very good food in interesting setting.
The food is nice
Limited options if beer
The decor is rustic but I guess its intebtionally kept that way
A very nice ambience , helpful staff and mouth watering food sets your Friday mood perfectly.a must go!!!
The service was fantastic the food was brillaint we got our food nice and quick and the waiters we're very friendly I would highly recommend the rocks cafe and I would happily come here again
Nice historic building located in the heart of the Rocks. Generous serves for. breakfast. Great coffee and friendly efficient staff.
went for breakfast this morning.
service and food excellent.
Nice service, quickly served despite being the day before NYE. Well done.
If I were able to give this place 0 stars I would
The Rocks Cafe would easily be the worst place I have ever eaten in my life.
The food was atrocious, cold and overly expensive for a plate of terrible food.
The staff barely spoke English, didn't care about the customers, some were extremely rude and patronising; and the food was barely edible. Needless to say the food was way over priced for what we were served
I would not recommend The Rocks Cafe, would never eat there again and I would never suggest for anyone to step foot in the establishment.
Retro restaurant, very nice in the Rocks area, behind the contemporary art museum. Here we tasted the famous Kangaroo burger: FANTASTIC!
Lean meat with a strong taste (similar to game) that melts in your mouth!
They thank the taste buds.
Poor Kangaroo steak. The steak was too done and the flavour was not consistent (too cooked) and with a sauce too liquid that didn't match the dish as all. Too expensive for the quality it was served. There is plenty of other places in Sydney with similar or lower price for a better Roo. I don't recommend the place for kangaroo experience.
Friendly service and delicious food at reasonable prices. Intimate bistro dining. Highly recommended
Great place. Friendly staff and great food with a good location.
Great food and staff were very nice, food was super quick and delicious too
Fast and friendly service, great fresh food and beautiful location
Great food...sit downstairs instead of up...and get the carrot cake!!
Fantastic service combined with extraordinary food for the whole family. We'll be back.
Fantastic coffee served with a friendly smile, Absolutely perfect Eggs Benedict.
The staff are following very good Covid practices insuring everybody is checked in and wiping down tables!
Definitely a place to visit if you are near
Lovely spot for brunch on a Sunday. Good size portions and fair prices.
Great spot for a bon voyage brunch. Fantastic service and a food selection to keep everyone satisfied. David found us a table for our party of 7 and we even had time for a stroll around the rocks market before boarding the boat!! Thanks to the team for making the day stress free.
Delicious coffee, croissants, and healthy options. Sit outside on a sunny morning for a view of the bridge.
First time to try kangaroo burger and it was really good!
Great Cafe on the heart of the Rocks. Excellent coffee and a lovely breakfast, the bacon was excellent! Would have preferred two slices of toast to go with my two eggs though
Great food. Great beverages (including amazing hot chocolates). Great service from the staff as well as really good pricing
Don't be deceived by the presentation of the cakes in the display. Absolutely terrible and you're better off buying a frozen cake from Woolies. Felt so disgusted after eating it.
Amazing brunch menu, literally the best cakes in Sydney!
Very cool to try a Crocodile or Kangaroo burger! Very delicious and unusual. Thank you!
It may be famous but accidentally entered. Bolognese was just that, and fish and chips were fine. Flat white is delicious. I'm shocked by the three-star, four-star line, but the first time I've experienced in Australia, I'd like to go out if I had to pay the first floor checkout. There is no reason to visit when considering price with service charge.
Nice coffee, great atmosphere, lively spot to watch the world go by
Very rude cashier, very impatient and lack customer service. It was Sunday 19th Feb 2017 at around 10am AEST. She should not be in the industry.
Nice location, but unfortunately you pay the location as well...I had the crocodile burger; was not so happy with my decision, on the other hand, it was the first time having crocodile meat - I would not eat it again.
I don t think I would go back to the cafe there, bc the prizes are too high for what you get
However, of you choose to go there, you won t be disappointed with the tast and the staff!
Disappointed with the lack of Desert / patries . Shops . In the area .
Great place for a Sunday breakfast, delicious omelette and friendly service
WE had the kangaroo steak medium rare and it came out delicious, also had the kangaroo burger but could't really tell the difference between a beef patty so bets to stay with the beef on burgers
The kangourou meat is great. Well done job. I will come back at any given time and i definitely recommend to others ( USA).
Lovely food and very friendly staff. The prices are reasonable for the area as well.
If you are looking for a place to taste kangaroo or crocodile.
Beautiful place, amazing service, kangaroo burger and crocodile burger were both yummy!
We walked from a nearby hotel searching for late kangaroo dish at 9.30pm and found this place based on google ratings, luckily the waitress welcomed us in as I believe they close at 10pm. Medium rare kangaroo steak was delicious. I was supposed to award them 5 start but, they did not serve us any water and forgot one of our side dishes, in which they didn't took too long to prep when we remind them. Staffs we encountered are friendly enough.
Great atmosphere, lovely food, great coffee. Nice staff and service.. Huge Lemon meringue pie..! Delicious
Good food and service. Australian food. Felt homey. The wraps and pastry were stuffed with ingredients. Good location.
I'm shocked to see how the restaurant is not abiding by government law and making people sit so close to each other to make money. Clearly, I have a concern about their dedication to the safety of customers. I would not recommend to go there.
Very nice place the food was lovely and the staff were very helpful will go back again.
Super service, great prices, nice food and location. Good value!
Great service. Charming atmosphere. Good lemon meringue pie.
Best salad, gorgeous desserts, friendly staff. If you re on a budget they currently do a burger and a drink for 20 dollars.
Food is great. Love the risotto, gor some chilli which is perfect.
Very welcome and very good service,
The place and nice and friendly,
Good food, a great time
Had breakfast, lunch and dinner here
All meals great, everyone friendly
The food is nowhere as good as it looks. Service was a bit disappointing too
Kangaroo burger is so delicious
For sure, I ll try it again.. :)
