Excellent service and excellent food! My husband and I are visiting from California. We're staying in The Rocks area neighborhood. Decided to eat here because it was close to our hotel. I have an onion allergy. The staff went out of there way to prepare a spaghetti dish without onions. Once our meal was served, the staff made sure to tell me my husband's dish had onions, so I should not take a taste.! He had the fish special, he said was delicious!

Walked around at the Rock area, saw very irresistible cakes on display, so i decided to come and have some dessert and coffee.
Piccolo to start with, it was great!
Black Forest individuate cake, hmmm... not to my liking, too much cream, not enough sponge cake layer, and it s kinda dry .
This cake was missing a punch! Even though it is garnished with glazed cherries, nit enough sour cherry flavour in the cake it self.

Arrived in Sydney late on a Friday night. These guys were closing up but were happy to let us come in and have a meal. I ordered their gnocchi. It was the best I have ever tasted. Absolutely divine. Would 100% recommend

I went to this cafe for dinner with my mum tonight and we had the best fish and chips we have ever had!! I love fish and chips but this cafe had by far the best! Then we had the tirrimasu and mango cheesecake which were also slices of perfection!!! Would definitely recommend this cafe to anyone nearby or looking for true quality food!!

Awesome drinks (had coffees and chai latte) , pricey but above average food (try mortal sin for dessert ) , good service. A little minus for the professional but angry - faced female manager (??) . Felt a little weird to be smiled at with such angry expression at the same time.

The kangaroo burger was nicely done and delicious! Customer service was great. The cafe is located at the edge of The Rocks and has a lovely alfresco dining area. Great place to relax and chill over a meal or drink.

We had sirloin, beef bourguignon, fish & chips and 2 childrens' meals spaghetti bolognase and cheeseburger & fries. Steak was exceptional with a good texture and char and a gorgeous aged 'blue-cheesy' aroma. It was served on a bed of waxy potatoes and halved Brussels sprouts and topped with a poached or roasted shallot and veal demiglaze. Beef bourguignon was served with a satisfying cap of puff pastry and a quenelle of potato mash enriched, possibly, with egg yolk or cheese. Fish and chips was textbook and generous - in fact all the dishes were quite large - not the least of which were the children's dishes. We finished with the tallest lemon meringue pie I'd ever seen and a perfectly wobbly blueberry cheesecake. Bill came to $50/head including soft drinks.

Fantastic little restaurant right by the harbour front. They offer celiac friendly food, as I have celiac disease and I did not feel sick after eating there. The food is very good and reasonably priced for what you get.

I went to eat here everyday for breakfast and once for dinner. It's a old spot in Sydney and has some history in the building.

I had the avocado on toast, mushroom toast and the kangaroo fillet.

I would reccomend this place 100%

I booked in here for a birthday lunch upstairs.

First off they offered us the specials on the board but then when we asked they said they would take half an hour so I ordered something else which took 40 minutes anyway.

The food itself wasn't anything nice and for the price I was paying it was unacceptable.

Next time I would rather book into a craft beer Cafe.

Kangaroo burger was 7/10, would have enjoyed a bit more flavor cooked into the meat. Calamari was 9/10. That light fry. delicious.

Solid spot for a meal in the Quay, and the service is amazing! Recommended.

This is a great place to hang out with friends. I enjoyed their burger meal & the aromatic coffee. My girlfriend and I comes here monthly as she enjoys the variety of cakes & has craving especially for their cheese cake. Looking forward to our next visit!

It was an excellent oasis, a haven from a hot Sydney summers day. The coffee was very good, but I really wouldn't recommend the omelette. I would presume that it is an authentic Italian style but regardless of that it was basically foul. It was overcooked, dry, the salmon may have been from a tin. Breakfast finishes at 11:30am but lunch doesn't start until 12 so my timing was sub-optimal. Perhaps the other food is better, but not really sure I am prepared to find out.

The Rocks Cafe rocks!

The Rocks Cafe rocks!

It is conveniently located in the heart of the rocks, with outdoor seating as well as indoor seating (check out the tables upstairs), the atmosphere is welcoming and cosy, the waitstaff very friendly.

I tried afternoon tea with cake - very rich cakes but great, and dinner. My kangaroo was a bit too well-done for my liking (I wasn't asked how I would like them to serve it) but apart from that absolutely gorgeous.

The only negative points are that their prices are too high compared to what you are actually getting. But I get it - it's the location.

I walked past here and then stopped with family just to get a drink, but I absolutely couldn't stop myself from ordering the huge lemon meringue pie! I would go there again just for some more of that, the meringue was so TALL! Everything about this place was lovely and they were very accommodating too!

Super friendly and welcoming wait staff were more than happy to find us a table right on George Street even though we only wanted coffee. Their excellent coffee was creamy and had a great crema making it really tasty. Great venue for coffee and cake or a romantic meal. Very popular with locals and tourists alike and not too expensive.
