This Frisco hotel is overrated. Everything was overpriced. Room not too clean. There was a skid mark in the toilet bowl which means the toilet was never cleaned. Shower drain backed up. Not coming back.

This Ritz in San Francisco is certainly keeping to it s brand and reputation.
I stayed for 3 nights in one of the club rooms as part of their Amex Fine Hotels and Resorts.
Check in was straight forward and not busy at 12 noon. I was able to get a room early without any drama.
The room was well appointed, nice big bathroom with separate shower and bath. Amenities were good quality.
Room had all that you could expect, desk, separate chair and more space than you can honestly expect given the price of San Francisco real estate.
The club floor had drinks and food available pretty much from morning to the late evening. Lots of variety and there did seems to be changes to the menu each day.
Staff were discrete, friendly . By the end of the first day staff were greeting me by my name at the front door and in the lounge.
The hotel is excellent and exceeds expectations.
Points that amazed me were my electric cables were bundled together with RC Velcro straps and there were even glasses cleaning cloths left for me next to my reading glasses.
In the foyer there were free fortune cookies (a San Francisco invention) with fun facts about San Francisco in each one: Denim Jeans were invented in San Francisco!
The hotel only has one flaw and it s and plus or minus depending on how you look at it. It s location is on top of a very steep hill. This means great views and less people coming by however if you are a walker, expect a work out each time you leave and arrive back at the hotel. This was not a walk home from Market street with bags of shopping venue. I caught an Uber more frequently do to the hill. Your mileage my vary.
Overall am amazing hotel, great experience, just be aware of the hill!

The Ritz is a very nice building with a lot of amenities meeting space looks great. Possibly the only downside would be that as in San Francisco it is surrounded by very steep hills. That being said it is a nice property and I would definitely come back.

Loved this hotel! Service was amazing and the rooms were clean. The club lounge was by far our favorite part about our stay. Amazing food, layout and service. A very helpful man named Alex in the club level made our stay especially memorable. Def recommend asking for him by name.

The only thing I was surprised about our stay that they didn't have was that there was no pool or jacuzzi. Bummed about that but this place still deserves 5 stars. Obviously, I would come back here.

Attended a wedding at the Ritz recently, and everything was just top notch. As you would expect the decor was elegant and extravagant, but the staff we also extraordinary. In even the simplest interaction with them you could tell they actually cared and they were quick to smile and laugh with you. Excellent experience all around.

This is not a luxury hotel, the rooms are old and in desperate need of a remodel, or at least a cleaning, furniture is dirty and needs to be replaced, tv's are outdated, staff is not accommodating, and didn't even honor the terms of our reservation with no explanation. Four Seasons is So much nicer for about the same price.

Visited SF for the 2nd time and decided to splurge a bit and stayed at the Ritz San Francisco. My wife tells me the next we come back to the Bay Area, we will be staying at the Ritz again.
The staff was great, polite, professional. Everything you want in a luxury hotel experience. Amenities were great. The lobby had newly placed fresh flowers everyday. Highly recommend the Ritz for anyone who is looking for a great place to stay and is convenient located in SF

Had Saturday afternoon tea at the restaurant as part of breast cancer awareness month. All of the pastries served had a pink component to it. The food was good and the service was amazing. I only wish they served more traditional afternoon tea items. There were mostly small dessert pastries.

Well situated close to a number of San Francisco landmarks and tourist attractions including the At&t ball park, Chinatown's dragon gates as well as the pier and maintains a feeling of being tucked away from all the hustle and bustle. Staff was friendly, rooms comfortable, complementary coffee on point (only complaint is that they ran out so quickly and didn't have a wider variety of tea options.

It's the Ritz-Carlton. I can't imagine how it could have been more perfect. The staff was attentive, professional, and treated us like royalty. The suite was spacious, clean and comfortable. No other hotel compares to this.

I'll admit, I definitely felt like an imposter when checking in but I was quickly put at ease by the incredibly gracious and hospitable staff. Many hotels in San Francisco are expensive because of their location alone. The Ritz Carlton, while pricey, makes you feel good about your investment. There doesn't seem to be an aspect they overlook, be it the second turn down service of the day, the fortune cookies in the lobby, the lavish bathroom... even small things like having ice ready for you in your room before you get there, or being able to use your own Netflix. In short, I didn't think a hotel like this could live up to the hype. For me, with beautiful accommodations, the texts and emails asking how they could make things easier that were met with a timely response, and a location in the heart of where you want to be, it certainly did.

Came here for a special party event on a Saturday afternoon. I didn't know the Ritz was on a hill, it made walking in heels a bit of a challenge. It was crowded inside the lobby, yet clean. Bathrooms were nicely stocked with hand towels and had big mirrors, great for touching up your hair and makeup. The plated lunches served were cold and very hard to eat. Service was only okay, hard to flag down our waiters to get drinks/refills. One even spilled my tea in front of me. Otherwise, beautiful space and had a fun time at the event.

Stay here for a moment only, 2 hours in the morning time, to get a breakfast and pick up other guests.
It was a very nice and tasty start for the day, go to 'History Car 2006' at Pebble Beach and ended up in Monterey.
Late greetings from Germany, Wolfgang
