Terrible stay. Very disappointed. The service was really bad. I've been here for 2 days, and most of the employees have sad faces. And that applies to the hotel staff, and the restaurant staff. For example, I called the hotel 2 hours in advance of coming back from my day, and asked if they could deliver some of the free cookies that were in the lobby to my room before I can back. My wife was pregnant and she was craving them. The first woman told me she would check to see if they had any and she would call me back. I waited an hour and called them back. The second person told me that she had delivered cookies to my room and I had to sign off on a room charge. Despite the fact that they were handing the cookies out for free, i obliged because I didn't come here to stay for free. So I came back to the hotel with my wife so I can surprise her. There was nothing in the room. So I called back downstairs and asked about them. The third person told me they didn't deliver them, and there was a miscommunication between me and employee number 2, and they actually wanted to talk to me first to make sure they can charge me for them. So he asked if I wanted to pay for the cookies and get them delivered now. I was shocked. I'm paying lots of money to stay in the room, and I ordered room service for every meal. I couldnt understand why they would worry whether I can pay for the cookies. I almost said yes, even though we had plans to go out. But at that point, I felt like I was begging for cookies. Kinda felt silly.

Also, the restaurant service was terrible. And the food portions were small and ok tasting. I expected more.

And the valet service was ok.

All in all, I was disappointed.

This hotel is a little older so things break. The hotel staff is awesome and never said no to things that went wrong. They were very professional and fixed everything immediately and made sure your accommodations were the very best. I would stay here again.

Nicely maintained hotel located in a great location. You can walk out of the hotel straight into mall for shopping or dinner. The hotel is close to the airport and the Pentagon. Public transportation is linked by doing a short walk through the mall for the trains or stepping out the door for the bus. Their bar is cozy and connects to their restaurant.

The Pentagon city Ritz Carlton is exactly what you think it's gonna be, Ritzy. The staff is very friendly and helpful with all reasonable requests. The building itself is very likely old but they have done a good job of making it luxurious and inviting.

We called ahead and worked with Dewayne Wright from the Concerige team. He and his team help create a very special dinner for our anniversary at Fyve restaurant and lounge located in the main lobby.

The hotel is conjoined with an expansive mall next door. There is easy access between the two.

Be ready to pay a premium for valet parking, $49.00 (not sure if its per night or for each in and out).

The only thing I wished they had was a nice place to enjoy a cigar, not just some corner outside on the side of the building.

I love going to this Ritz. The hotel is amazing, the staff great. But what I always look forward to is the breakfast--I think their hash browns are amazing!

You'll need a car if you're coming in from the airport. But valet parking is available. This hotel is also attached to Tysons Corner Mall, so you have some options for day/night activities.

Impeccable service. Food was top quality. Rooms were very nice, albeit smaller than expected, and I saw some details that could stand to be addressed with a mild refresh. Nothing that would diminish the quality of our stay. Unfortunately, construction adjacent to the hotel woke up a lot of guests early on a Saturday morning; it was a topic of discussion in the lobby. Not the responsibility of the hotel but still affected its guests.

Definitely time for a renovation... but I d settle for a place to hold my soap in the shower. The other Ritz Carltons in Chicago, Charlotte, even Wolfsburg are much better... good service though, as always... and GREAT location!

This hotel had extremely friendly staff, nice and big rooms, and overall a great atmosphere. The only complaint would be parking, which is $49 a night. While I expect everything to be more expensive at the Ritz, they do somewhat nickel and dime you for everything. Even platinum members will have to pay $100 for the concierge lounge. You don't get much else besides a room the the overpriced rate, so unless you expect to spend I recommend staying at the tysons square marriott where everything is included for platinum members, and parking is only $15 a night.

For a professional over 50 I found the amenities, room, bathroom, decor very traditional and appropriate for an upscale hotel. Staff is VERY good. Exercise room has just the right amount and type of equipment. Now #1 on the Crystal/ Pentagon City list.

I didn't stay in a room so I can't speak to that but from what I heard from the folks I was visiting, those were pretty good. I only ate at Fyve restaurant downstairs for brunch. So the server was mostly nice, I think she had a hard time understanding us a bit. Then after they took our orders it took literally almost an hour to bring out our food. Granted it was for about 9 folks but still, that's a long time for a fairly empty restaurant. I ordered the steak and eggs which was really not that impressive. The steak's requested temperature was cooked to perfection don't get me wrong, but it was just a touch bland. The eggs were ok also and my wife's order was messed up. I expected as little more from such an upscale hotel. They immediately fixed her meal but still a little disappointing. Overall I'll keep the rating at 4 because the hotel staff were excellent, the wait staff at the restaurant were better than good but not great and the food was pretty good aside from my steak. The other meals were also pretty good.

Loved our staycation close to home but without our kids. Amazing service, quality and attention to detail. We decided to make this a quarterly getaway. Can't beat a night in luxury. Highly recommend the Ritz at pentagon city.

The average is the three star rating I gave it.

The average is the three star rating I gave it.

Dinning is four stars for taste and service.

Location is four stars as it is near all the NoVa locations and DC as well when morning traffic backs up a subway station in attached to the building.

Cleanliness is one star as my bathroom was disgusting and their was hair on the floor in the bedroom.

Modernity is not a word these folks understand and hence one star. The hotel was built several decades ago and it shows. As everything is old and dated.

If you want outstanding service, personal attentio...

If you want outstanding service, personal attention and a first class shopping mall environment, this is the place for you! Unfortunately the facility itself is the sore point. Lobby is very basic. Bathrooms have poor ventilation, no heat, and plumbing drains that drain poorly AND play you a gurgling tune every time you open a faucet. Vanity was old, original tub, toilet is your basic old slow swirl type. You won't find a pressure flush here! Refrigerators have no room for personal items unless you remove all of the liquor and sodas they want you to pay for. But the real issue with my room the fact it was 63 degrees when I first entered and when I attempted to make it warmer, it was like turning up a humidifier. The room was severely damp and anything of paper became limp. You would think that a place of this reputation would ensure guests enter a room with a comfortable room temperature. Had I known raising the temp would only make it more damp, I would have requested another room, but by then it was morning. Overall, DC has some very nice named brand hotels with much better facilities. It just depends how much personal attention you like to have and how much you like to shop as a trade off for an older facility with issues.

I am changing my previous 3 star review to 1 star.
After contacting their corporate office and the management of the hotel, I had the housekeeping manager attempt to contact me. This was probably the women I found standing in my room when I first entered, who introduced herself as the housekeeping supervisor . Why would I want to discuss my problem further with the staff who ignored the situation in the first place? The fact that no hotel manager can take the time to contact me about the excess humidity problem with my room, which made my stay miserable, is pretty poor.

Very underwhelmed. Not a great place if you're a Marriott Platinum, no extras, $100 a day for club access, lousy view of apartments and two mini water bottles. People are friendly but the rooms are just OK. Bathrooms are on the small side and they only partially replaced used toiletries. Comfortable bed. Attached to the mall and across the street from the Metro which is nice.

Recent updates and renovations took an already great hotel and put it over the top. Incredibly friendly staff and large rooms make this my hotel of choice. The lightly scented air when you walk in even greets you warmly. Great location too. Train stop directly outside. Quick into DC or Old Town Alexandria. Also, 2 stops to DCA.

Great experience! The staff is friendly and helpful. They go out of the way to know your name and why you are staying with them. The rooms are in great shape and of a quality that you expect from the ritz. Great location that is close to the metro and many dining options. The fyve restaurant did not disappoint either.

Nice hotel, but it didn't match my expectations for a Ritz-Carlton. Nothing was bad, but I expected the room to be more luxurious. I also had to ask for new pillows because the original ones smelled like mildew.

This hotel is very elegant. The hotel is in the center of everything. There's a large shopping mall that's attached to the hotel which is very convenient. We came for someone's birthday party which was located in one of the ballrooms. It must have been very expensive because the details were extravagant. I would definitely come back, mostly because of the location. It's very close to the airport as well.

The hotel and staff were wonderful. Loved the robes and Nespresso coffee maker in the room. The room was excellent yet unfortunately my neighbors chose to stay up all night long partying and slamming doors therefore I received no sleep at all in the luxurious king sized bed. It was dissatisfying to experience those types of guests in such a nice hotel.

The quality of rooms is terrible for the brand and expectation of the hotel. The pillows are awful. The food from room service tasted like 4 day old frozen food . I would not recommend this hotel.

We visited the Ritz-Carlton over Mother's Day weekend, which also coincides with my wife's birthday. So it was a shopping trip, and the hotel has direct access to the Fashion Centre without ever going outside, which is of course great. But the reason for our 5 star review is not the location or amenities of the hotel, which are both exceptional, but the staff that hosted us throughout our stay. Every staff member we came across went out of his or her way to engage our children, offer assistance, or just socialize in a very relaxed way. The other clientele seemed to respond to this the same way we did - all in all, the staff and clientele were among the friendliest we have ever come across. A particular thank you to Jennifer at the front desk, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Our stay was wonderful, and we hope to do it again.

DC Skyline blocked by New construction. Upgraded to high floor with a river view. Was on 14th Fl and only saw the new hotel being built across the street. Still has all the charm as before. Just no views of DC. Booked Deluxe King suite, upgraded to high floor and checked almost every add on feature. Opened my huge, amazing windows and saw nothing but brick wall. I guess you have to ask if the view is still available or just existed at one point. 300 per night I was hoping to see the Capital
