Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar Review

My eggs benedict with fillet was absolutely wonderful. A great brunch spot.yummy!

We had a 6:15pm reservation, so waiting for a table wasn't an issue. They sat us downstairs in the wine bar where there were about 9 tables.

Service - slow. Took forever for us to even order our drinks. (However, our waitress was nice)

Food - when they bring out the plates, they warn you about them being very hot. That was not the case with the season 3-course plate. I wonder how long the plate had been sitting in the kitchen because the steak & plate were cold. As for the crab legs, they were shriveled. I've had better ones from the grocery store. So DON'T order the season 3-course special.

(The lobster tails were great as well as the other filet, although it was medium rare. We asked for medium)

Can't say that I'm eager to come back. I'd rather go to Ruth Chris or Morton's. The service is much better there.

2 stars because it wasn't a completely terrible experience. I enjoyed my lobster tails.

Offered a takeout lunch special. The food was fantastic. The ambience was elegant. The service was exceptional. I will return.

We had dinner on Tomahawk Tuesday, well worth it. Food and service excellent

Had a great steak but found it wasn't as good as other visits. Staff was outstanding and although the food wasn't as good as other visits we will go back.

Tomahawk Tuesday was amazing. The timing, service and food were exceptional. If you're looking for a unique experience for a special occasion, it doesn't get better than this.

If you got the bucks, this is the place to go. Very very good food. Our waiter Ken E. was the best ever.

We booked the reservation as we had a gift card from Spa Gregorie's spa date for two package. The atmosphere was great, the staff was very attentive, and the food was to die for! It does tend to get busy so I would recommend reserving. We mentioned that it was our anniversary and the staff made it so special for us!

Open for Lunch with a very good lunch menu. Great service and friendly staff.

a "must" to dine in the wine room, as it drowns out the whining of other winers about their real estate deals and the noisy room

Oh I have not been back here for years. The service has not changed - they are very attentive. We started with the seafood tower and it was delicious. Cold and generous portions of shrimp, poke, lobster and crab. For dinner I had the Chilean sea bass which was heavenly. A client had the petite filet and it was done perfectly. This place is not cheap, but worth a splurge for that special occasion!

Ok place, food is ok... Have been to better steak House's and less fancy

Not a fan of the redesign, the lighting is a a weird in-between of bright and dark that doesn't work.

Staff made the evening pleasant. Great time at the bar before dinner! The filet was perfect! Husband and I agreed on this one :)

Excellent service at the bar for happy hour, my water glass never got empty and they brought a sauce I asked for in less than a minute. Great service for indoor dining. Very friendly staff.

Asparagus was burnt. The steak was decent. I think the best thing was the potatoes. Even the chocolate lava cake didn't have the greatest consistency. The chocolate cake was grainy. But as always the service was excellent.

Seating is a bit cramped, don't like that, but the steak is really good, also the service was good, but people may bump into you because it's so cramped.

Always a nice classy experience. Higher end dining without feeling like all hoighty toighty. I always go dressed very casually and the food, service, and atmosphere are always very pleasant. Came in recently for their tomahawk dinner for two and that was the best steak I've had in a long long time.

Food and service are always top notch at Fleming's. The restaurant is in such high demand that you do feel a bit crowded however, as tables are fairly close and occupied! Still a super consistent upscale steak house.

Bone in Ribeye was overdone. Petite filet was perfect though.

Go for the giant bone in tomahawk steak! Get some mushrooms too! Delicious!

Second visit in two weeks, Filet Mignon not cooked as ordered, returned to kitchen and it came back too CHARRED (burnt) on outside. Same thing happened last visit, but they made it right... but the service is outstanding. Steve is a caring waiter with a great personality... Crab was delicious, rib eye cooked perfectly and the cream brulee is made to order was fantastic!

Avoiding the toll road using MacArthur from here is tricky. PCH is a great alternative to Santa Monica.

Life just doesn't get any better than dinner at Fleming's. Hands down THE BEST steak around and impeccable service. I usually get the filet, husband gets the bone in ribeye, and when they have it order the tomahawk. Amazing. Sides are great and the atmosphere is so pleasant. I dream of dining there!

an extensive wine list and perfectly aged steaks gets to good old boys coming back. we feme fatales like it to when we have that craving for a thick slab of red meat.

Been to Flemings now two or three times for pharmaceutical dinner and the staff is so amazing how they truly wait on your every need. The food is delicious, I had salmon and potatoes au gratin and asparagus all that was cooked to the right temperature and with the right sauces. I really enjoy going to Flemings. It's in the heart of Fashion Island right near Whole Foods and it's actually quite easy to get to considering the location. I highly recommend Flemings for either business, casual or celebratory dining!!

Excellent food, attentive staff and ambiance that looks expensive without being intimidating. I love this place!

1st course was the salad, it was a bit mushy and had too many onions.

2nd course was filet mignon that I requested medium came out salty medium well. Waiter happily sent it to be redone. Brought back better

3rd course was the chocolate brownie with a carmel sauce. Nice crunchy chocolate brownie with a salted carmax sauce done right.

Overall I had a pleasant experience but with some small tweaks it could be a better experience. Will return

Chairs are way too small for a high end steak house ....stteak ...great!! Lobster mash ! Don't order ...over rated

One of my top 5 steak house's love the location, had a great night taking mom out for Bday along w/family & friends food and staff were exceptional..

Another amazing meal here at Newport Beach Fleming s Steakhouse, recently renovated, a gorgeous space, love the patio in the back with fire pits, lust green, comfortable booths, and romantic here!

Inside the large dining is well lit and contrast of lighter chair as before; a nice bar to chill, and you can see the what is going to the kitchen at the same time behind you!

Seafood Tower is a must here, lobster, Kimg crab legs, tuna tartare w/avocado and gigantic prawns.

French Onion Soup and the Wedge Salad are my favorite starters! Fleming s potato, mashed potato, and brussel sprout, mushroom are solid here!



For kid, 6 OZ filet mignon + starter + ice cream for $22 is a MUST ORDER!

Save room for dessert, the carrot cake is so darn good! My hubby chowed down in no time!

Don t forget to try their Margarita & Bloody Mary, ask for light ice please!

This is the only Fleming s that when I visit, always a Rolls Royce, Lamborghini, Ferrari and Bentley park in front of the entrance, it s so EXTRA here!

My husband and I had a gift card from our kids so we decided to use it to celebrate Valentine's day. We were seated at a booth in a quiet corner of the restaurant as we requested so that was appreciated. Our waiter was very helpful with suggestions on what to order. We decided to get the 5 course Valentine's day special meal, and it was very good. We got the filet mignon and shrimp which were both cooked perfectly. Our steaks were cooked how we like them...medium well. The dessert was bread pudding and it was delicious. We would love to come back to enjoy more of their menu choices.

Went to this restaurant for their so called "Happy Hour" which is between 5-7 pm. Did some research a few days prior, and the website said they had happy hour drink and appetizer prices starting at $6. However, NOTHING was at that price point! The lowest prices were $9 for the Filet Mignon Flatbread, Calamari apps and the Blueberry Lemon Drop ( mixed drink w Vodka). The apps were just ok tasting, and the BLD which I did order was good, but quite sweet. Very crowded around 6 pm on a Friday and there is limited seating in the bar and the outdoor bar seating area. To their credit, the server was attentive and pleasant.

ask if they have a bone-in ny strip... you won't be disappointed

Let them know you have an anniversary they will take care of you, better then any restaurant I have ever seen

Not worth the price! My $60+ steak was so fatty, I gave it to my wife in exchange for her lean filet mignon, which was a little tough. I might go back for the Caesar salad, soup and bread in the bar... maybe.

Great service and a good steak and sea food dishes from Flemings the other night. The wait staff did an excellent job serving our business dinner.

Not at all happy, dinner for 4 took over a hour, talking to MANAGER was a WASTE of time.......will NOT be back !

Great food and a nice elagent setting. Service was top notch. Good selection of appetizers and entrees to choose from. I would recommend Flemmings for a business meetings or a date night destination. I did not have any desert but the ones I did see looked great. My steak was seasoned well and delivered at the correct temperature. I don't think you could go wrong ordering anything from Fleming's very tasty food

Good food, spendy, but that goes without saying. We got there towards the end of the evening on a Superbowl night so it was pretty quiet and perfect evening. Service was great and even got a small box of chocolates as a gift for our anniversary. We're very pleased.

5 stars goes to Neil of valet. Service is ok in Flemings but food needs A LOT of work.

Came here for a fathers day tomahawk and they ran out. They stuck us in a freezing cold overflow were we saw our waiter but it wasn't often. No mood lights, restaurant ambiance, and no steak. I would have loved to be in the actual restaurant. However it's only saving grace was the food we did get. For a $250 meal I should have left on a cloud, instead it was an overly priced steak (not a tomahawk) I could have cooked at home. We don't get to eat like this often. Im just glad the food came out timely and tasted good.

Fleming's is always top notch and the Burgers & Caymus deal is the best!

Newport Beach location updated and FABULOUS. Don't forget to ask for blue cheese on top of your steak

Great food and service. Private room was a bit tight on space.

The Ribeye melts in your mouth. Best I've had so far.
