I would like to start off saying that my niece s wedding was beautiful, regardless of all the issues with the owner. First of all, Ms. Riley charged my niece $4000 and we re still trying to figure out why. The building is a school apparently, which showed because the carpet was dirty (we were allowed to have alcohol but we were told later that she doesn t have a liquor license). The set-up of the ceremony area was incomplete (she had to add more seating during the ceremony). She wouldn t allow more than 75 people in the building when clearly the building could accommodate more. The decorations were lacking. My niece had a caterer come in, BUT she was told the refrigerator in the kitchen was off limits. RIDICULOUS!!

Although the contract stated we could have the building until 11:30, mysteriously the alarm was pulled around 8 pm, and right after, Ms. Riley demanded that we all leave. Ms. Riley is one of THE most unprofessional business owner s that I have come across in a long time. Instead of listening to our complaints and trying to be accommodating, she was argumentative and even began screaming and yelling. I advise anyone who is interested in renting this building, to think twice. Please beware!

We have done business with the owner of this company 3 times and this very event was just unacceptable. We spent 4k and the amount of decorations just didn't add up for us. I do believe because of Covid-19 Ms. Riley was little cautious and didn't perform as well as she did for our previous events. But that isn't excuse for lack of professionalism. My wife was supposed to enjoy her day but she felt like she had to deal with the drama and the needs of people who she paid to handle to make sure he night was memorable. The ceremony was nice but the reception was a big disappointment. The building was too hot, we were forced to start cleanup earlier than previously discussed, and there was just a lack of concern and communication from this establishment. We tried to keep doing business with the owner to support black businesses. But after this unsatisfied event, we will no longer support this establishment. No hard feelings just deserve more explanation to why things went the way they did and haven't received that, sorry.

Last weekend my daughter had her wedding and reception at this venue. The owner ruined the experience. We were suppose to have 75 people present and she only had the center set up for 48. Unfortunately, some guest had to leave due to lack of seating. The owner was harassing our guest in regards to seating and having adult beverages. She was constantly in our guest presence. This was an unfavorable experience overall. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone!

I recently had my baby shower here and I absolutely loved it!!! The process was seamless and the decor was perfect. Prices are very reasonable as well. The facility was clean and staff made it smooth sailing!! All future events will take place at this location for me! I highly recommend this business to everyone!

She was very unprofessional. She did my niece very wrong and made everyone leave at 10:00 and the wedding party was to be over at midnight. And she stopped the beer and wine at 8 at night when that was not in the contract. Do not do business with her she is very shady!!!

They need to clean the carpet or pull the dirty carpet up. The carpet had big stains in it. We used the room for a memorial for our brother. Some people are money grubbing people and only out to make as much money as possible. We cleaned it up before we set up and left it clean before we left. Hopefully we won't have to use it anymore.

My sisters wedding was a disaster due to lack of professionalism poor quality and unreliable staff. Our family paid $4,000 for a wedding that should have been $400 there wasn t enough sitting for guest and the venue was half decorated (no cake topper on the cake really?), the carpet was extremely filthy also the reception was set to be over at midnight mysteriously the fire alarm went off at 8 pm also again at 9pm and we were forced to clean up and be out by 1030! What bride wants to deal wit theses things on there special day!
In the past we have had ok experiences in this venue. But this time was unacceptable if you do book this place make sure to read your contract throughly and GET A COPY! She will shade you! Our can make the best out of anything but this one was a tough one BEWARE OF BOOKING!!!

My daughter was attending the Riley Center. The staff is horrible and unprofessional Mr. Battle & Lisa. This grown man ( Mr.Battle) yelled at my daughter while I was on the phone with her took her phone and hung up on me. Lisa who sits at the front desk does nothing about this situation. Me. Leah the owner of the Riley Center need to hire professionals. I m very disappointed and I wouldn t recommend anyone to bring their children to this place where adults yells at children. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL

My daughters wedding was a COMPLETE DISASTER!!! As the mother of the bride I tried to make the best of things but I could not get over the lack of decorations professionalism and quality. I understand nothing in life is perfect but also I expected nothing less than amazing! For the price (4K) she paid nothing in the building amounted to that. I paid for most of the decorations myself and I don t understand how or why things were so unorganized. The carpet was extremely dirty there wasn t enough seats for everyone my son in laws family was turned around by the venue because there were no seat (traveling from across the world to be turned around) very very disappointing we were supposed to have seats for 75 ppl and were only given 48 beware of the snaky business here she just wants your money and isn t willing to spend time nor put effort to make things right not to mention I was put out of my daughters reception because I wanted answer to why things were not right!

If I could give this place no stars I would BEWARE!!

I have been a childcare parent of the Riley Center since it opened. Leah (the director), Lisa (assistant director) and the staff has been amazing. For me, I look for a child care center that can feel and be more family oriented so that my children feel comfortable and I can trust and feel better about whom will be responsible for the care of my children. If a situation ever occurred Leah has always been on top of handling the situation appropriately and in a timely manner. I would refer the Riley Center to any parent looking for a child care home. You will have a staff that actually cares about the well being of your children and the parents as well. Leah and her staff will do everything in their power to ensure your children are in good hands and that they can assist the parents as much as they possibly can.
